About Me:
We are a small home breeder with corgi's and longhaired dachshunds. I have been in love with the corgi's ever since seeing one on one of the dog shows on TV. We will be entering the show ring with our new boy this summer and can't wait

About My Corgi(s):
I have Muffin my first. She is a high engery girl on the go. My wife just loves her face even if she is not great in her comformation. Our next was Ted E a male. What's not to love. He is a fun loving little guy who knows when to slow down and give you a hug or kiss......and if he sees you getting attention from someone else he might butt in. Buttercup is alittle sweet heart. Layed back..for the most part...and love her hugs, can't get enough of them. She has awsome comformation and a pedigree to match. We will be getting anther male named Snowy soon just for Buttercup. He also has the comformation and pedigree to die for and he will be starting his show career in the summer of 08. Can't wait to see their babies

Yes, Duncan is a red to black long hair. :3 (his ears and tail fade to black, i think that's called sable, i can't remember!) His mother is a dapple and his father is a red. I've seen a lot of people who own both dachshunds and corgis. They make a great pair!

I got out our map of Iowa to see where Griswold is located. We have been to Council Bluffs to the casinos a few times. Hubby says maybe someday we could come down to see your pups & go to the casino!

Where Is the conformation show in April? We have wanted to see a dog show in person, but only have watched on TV so far. We have missed a conformation & agility show @ Ft. Dodge ( 1 hour away) but hope to get there someday.
  • Shannon

The show is in Seward, Neb at the end of April. We will also be going to the show at the Qwest Center in Omaha. That one is around mid to late July. I don't have a date for that one but it will be bigger with more things going on then the one in Seward.

Thanks so much for the welcome - and the long distance belly rub!
  • Cheri

Thanks! I'm kinda partial to him. You've got some cute puppies!

I haven't updated in so long, but actually all of the corgi babies we had this fall have been placed in new homes. It was so hard to give them up but I know they are in good homes. We think we will be having more this spring or early summer and I think I have my hubby talked in to keeping one--hoping for a tricolor girl. So far we have had at least 1 tricolor in every litter and they have always been girls. In the last litter the people who bought our tricolor girl wrote us back a few weeks later to tell us how much they love her and how many times people have offered to buy her. So that makes me feel good that she is getting all the love and attention she needs. Thanks for checking out my pictures. Happy Easter! Marie

Hi Shannon. If possible my daughter and I are going to try to go to the dog show in Seward the end of this month. We went the one at the Quest Center last year to watch the agility. So much fun. Was checking out the website to see the puppies. Only one left and I'm sure he won't last long!
  • Kristen

I will be sure to look for them. Hope it all goes well,.

Hi Shannon - did your puppy "grumpy" come to Zumbrota MN? If so I'm pretty sure Sadie and I spent the day with him yesterday. I'm friends with Jack and Renee and my Sadie is out of their male Nemo. We went over to a friends house yesterday and Renee took "Grizz" (cause he came from Griswold IA) and I took Sadie and they played together for a few hours. They were both very tired pups by the time I went home. It's a small world and maybe I'm wrong but I think he's one of your last puppies and just thought I'd let you know how happy they are with him. Renee and I are thinking he may make a good mate for my Sadie sometime next year! She's 5 months old today and he only being 8 weeks(?) we've got some time to decide. My husband says no raising puppies - but I'd like the experience at least once with Sadie. The next time I'm over there I'll try to get a picture and post it here for you to see. Shelby

    Hej Shannon,

Lovely pictures of your corgi`s and puppy`s. And you have a very nice internetsite of all your pups and dogs.
Do you also sell your pups abroard?
  • Kristen

I'm disappointed I won't be able to go to the Seward Dog show tomorrow. My grandmother passed away and we are doing the visitation tomorrow. I was so looking forward to meeting a MyCorgi friend in person/dog! Good luck with the show. I would love to know how everybody does!
  • Kristen

I'm so glad he did well. I would have liked to watch. In the future I would like to get involved in showing my Corgis and I want to go to as many dog shows as I can to see how it all works. It will keep me away from Antique auctions and probably save me money! Well maybe not!
  • Leah

I really want a corgi, but can't really afford it. If you know of anyone who has puppies, let them knowI would gladly adopt one and give it a loving home.
  • amy

Thanks, your corgi is very cute too
  • Renae & Mark

Thanks Shannon! You also have geat pics!
  • Lexi

I know! The wait is excruciating - I can't stop thinking about my to-be-puppy. At least I'll be kept relatively busy until mid-June.

I just got a set of pictures from the breeder and will be posting soon!
  • Lil

    we can't wait!
  • Bob Dog

    Thanks! Fun photos.
  • Finney

Thank you, he is quite handsome. When I was younger my parents had him neutered. They always regretted this because he would have made some stunning offspring!
  • Loy

    so likability...
  • BU bu wong

o... my god .. they just so CUTE.......
  • Lee-Ann

Hi Shannon, thanks for the welcome. I enjoyed your photos. Soooo cute. I'd want to keep every one of them!
  • charles buki

he's 15 and a half. good days and not so good days. fortunately the god days are very good and the not so good days are not too terrible. thanks for the welcome. now those are beautiful dogs you have there!
  • Shannon

They are alot of funs, very to happy to hear that he is having some really good days still. And I bet he still would try to do anything to make you happy. Looking forward to seeing more pics of him
  • Jamie

You must be in puppy heaven! I could never do what you do, I'd want to keep them all. I love that you raise dachshunds too, if I didn't get Edie, I was going to get one of those. I have to say I couldn't imagine my life without my corgi girl though!
  • Shannon

It is very tough when it is time for them to leave, you get a empty nest feeling. Our dachshunds are tons of funs but the corgis are great and couldn't live without them
  • kinz

a dachshund was my first choice till my husband got me into the damn dvds haha... then i found a corgi in the news paper and asked my husband if we could call them to see a picture of them and he was the only boy left with 2 other girls, i fell in love with the boy.
  • Carmen

Hi, we are from Mason City, IA. Your pups are to die for cute!! I love corgi pups.
  • Shannon

    how is the flooding there?
  • Julie & Chila

thank you. You have some REALLY cute picture too.
  • Ann Marie

HI! Einstein wants me to send XOXO to his family in IA. Are you guys drying out? We will send some of our latest CA heat wave. He is doing great! I will be posting new pics tomorrow off the whole gang.
  • winnie_the_dog

I hope you guys didn't get too wet over there. Winnie comes from Houghton IA and I am so tempted to get her a playmate at some point.
  • Dannielle

OMG i love the pic with the lil cowboy that is too cute!! Ur a very lucky pupper parent :o)
  • Kristen

Are you still planning to go to the Nebraska Kennel Cub Show next week? My daughter and I are going (just to watch) on Friday for certain. Possibly other days as well.
  • Dannielle

Thanks I cant wait for Zero to be home I am so excited, but I can only imagine the time goes way too fast as a breeder :o) They are all so adorable
  • Shannon

got our papers for the show. The Pembrokes group go in Sat. at 10:30 and the corgi's are the last of the group to go in so they will be in the ring around 11 or later.
On Sun their group starts at 8am and the corgis are the first into the ring
  • Kristen

I hope to get back to Omaha on Sat or Sun Good luck to you. They do a nice job at the Quest. Were you there last year as well?
  • Kristen

I was at the Dog show on Saturday and watched the Corgis go. Wasn't sure which one you were. We went to watch Agility for a while and then came back to look for you, but wan't successful. We also watch the Herding dog group and was pleased to see a Pembroke took the group! How did you do on Sunday? Sunday was the only day we didn't get in to Omaha. I didn't even think to look for you when the dachshunds went. Hope it was a good trip to Omaha for you.
  • Kristen

I do remember the reluctant Corgi. Such a cutie. Seems like the big girl that won BinB has been in the ring a lot. That seems to make a big difference. Nice to hear such encouraging words from the judge on Snowy's confirmation. I felt a little lost watching the Specials, I wish I had a "Dummies Guide to Dog Shows", Each class I watch I picked the winner, but I was only picking the dog I liked the best, with very little criteria other than "cute corgi" I am learning. My daughter and I had fun. She is humoring me on my obsession with Corgis! Such good news on the pending litter. You will have to let me know when you are showing again.
  • Manda and Chloe

thanks, i love her little tail too.
i'm getting another one soon, i think chloe could use a friend.
  • Manda and Chloe

yeah, i think it will be good for her to have a friend.
i looked at your site, how much do you get for a male puppy? and how much does shipping usually run? i'm still researching everything and trying to make a decision on where to get my puppy.
  • Vacationholic

Hi Shannon, your corgis are sooo adorable! I see that you breed dachshunds too. A friend of mine is looking at getting a long-hair dachshund.
  • Lee-Ann

Thank you. It's about time I put some pictures in. Are you experiencing lots of shedding this summer? I don't think I've ever seen Dusty shed this much.

By the way...your puppy pictures are adorable!
  • Vacationholic

Were you referring to the dachshunds? I think my friend is looking at local breeders and she wants one soon, but if she has no luck, I'll have her contact you. :)
  • Vacationholic

My friend just got a long-haird girl pup, from Iowa also. I saw the photo of dachshund and corgi together on your website and thought it was so cute. When they're fully vaccinated, I'll post photos of them.
  • Kristen

Any new arrivals yet? Hope all is going well for Buttercup.
  • Shannon

No Fluffys, but we both fell head over heels in love with one at a pet store along time ago and never forgot it, then ended up raising Corgis and Long Hair Dachshunds
