About My Corgi(s):
Sully was adopted in 2005 through the Lakeshore Pembroke Welsh Corgi rescue! He is gentle and laid-back but learning to be bossy at home with Mommy and Daddy. In the past couple of years we have worked on his shyness, fear, dog-aggression and other issues and he has really gained confidence but he is still not a typical corgi. We compete in Obedience (AKC) And Rally (AKC and APDT) Sully (Sullivan's Travelin Pants RN RL2 CGC) and I love to take long walks in our neighborhood, watch tv and play squeaky toy fetch in the back yard. Sully's favorite trick is spinning in circles (both clockwise and counterclockwise) and sometimes I use that as his reward for doing more boring exercises in traditional obedience. Most recently, we attended a Freestyle Workshop in Chicago! He loves popcorn, dried cranberry cookies, Natural Balance rolls, his rubber chicken and naps in his crate.

    Hi Jenna,

    Thanks for your response to my comment on Julo's Corgi Tails blog. I've learned that corgi breeders are protective of their breed, and absolutely love that fact. When Julo let me know that she was added to the list without a number, it was a relief that I wasn't the only one, nothing more. Every time I rationalize as to why there is no number on the waiting list and I don't know the number of puppies, I realize that it's probably because this is a good responsible breeder who wants to match the puppy to the people. Thank you so much for putting it into words, it's always nice when people confirm what you are speculating. :)

    And Sully is a doll! Love the tie you made him!

    (I hope it's ok that I responded to your comment here, it seemed the most appropriate!)

    Sully is a wonderful corgi. He looks just like my Koby girl! My boy Gardener loves to chase toys in a circle too. How fun! Competing with your dog is just the BEST! Did you ever try dog agility?
  • Mary Phoenix

    That is cool! The most important thing is being active and having fun with you dog (dogs) in my case. Gardener is also a "shy guy" but is progressing in agility with the help of his big sis Koby :-)
