My husband and I will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary on July 23, 2011! Have 2 human kids and 2 fur kids. I now have the four kids I've always wanted. :)
Name: Lance
Breed: Cardigan Welsh Corgi(Blue Merle)
Birthday: October 30, 2005.
Current Age: 8 1/2
RIP 5-3-14
Was an only dog for 5 years, but not anymore! Learning about sharing, I hear sharing is good. :) I have corgi buddies already so hopefully it wont be too hard to share with my brother.
Lance is a pure breed cardigan corgi, at the moment he may appear like he is not because his ears are floppy. Lance is dealing with auto immune issues and vasculitis of the ears which affects the blood flow in his ears.
Name: Tucker
Breed: Red and White Pembroke. Was rescued from the
shelter March 6, 2011
Birthday: October 12, 2007
Current Age: 6
Tucker is a sweetheart, seems quite comfy here. :) So glad to be out of the shelter. I was so sweet the first time I met my potential owners I gave them lots of corgi kisses, I stole their hearts. <3
Happy Halloween to you! We are getting ready to go trick-or-treating. Becca just discovered the internet, looking at dog's dressed for Halloween, at www.ultrakawaii.com. It is a cute website, but if you click on some of the links, it goes outside of the website. Now I am thinking of moving the computers closer to where I can observe everything!
Hi Natalie, how are you and Lance fairing with all you family celebrations this past month? You must be worn out...I just stumbled across a group that you may want to join...it is called "Corgis of Christian Owners"; hope to see you there. Joy and Butter
My camera broke last month and I have had to use my cell phone. It doesn't take nearly as good of pictures. We didn't dress the dogs up for Halloween I was debating about taking them with us, KC would have loved running into everyone but Levi is such a chicken about people anyway I can only imagine what he would have been like with strange people in costumes lol.
I really should say no about the new one with KC and Levi but since I got her I just can't resist not having another one. I am afraid that if I don't take the opportunity while I have it it will become one of those things that just keep getting put off. That will definately be our limit for awhile though. Until we can get moved out of town and have lots of room for FRAPing. Then I will have to get a couple more lol. I think I would like to get a cardi someday but right now I kind of enjoy not having tails knocking everything over and whapping me in the leg lol. It will be fun because my sister in law and her husband are getting one of the girls from the litter so when we have family get togethers then it will be lots of family. And they are both literally KC's half siblings, same dad different mom. I can't wait for her to send me some pics. The kids are all excited.
Well good luck with the groomer search, I haven't had to do that yet.... in fact I just gave them both baths earlier tonight and KC is now curled up in a warm towel on dad's lap watching the election news. Levi is looking pathetic because he has gotten too big to be a lapdog. But it is almost bed time.
Hi Natalie, Thank you for the welcome. This is such a neat site. Hopefully I will learn all the ins and outs of it soon...I know I have missed acknowledging some of the welcomes i have recieved! The puppies ate there first rice cereal today, and are tottering around on all fours for the 1st time. Lance is so cute and unique! He would be a huge hit out here!
Hi~glad you like the pics! These are leather masks, handmade by a British man named Newman. He sells them to groups and people all over the world.I buy them from him each July,at the Oregon Country Fair.I have a pretty nice collection of them and use them in my dance choreography~it's really fun, especially, when I dress Kitty up in them!!And she has gotten good at wearing them, for me...lol!
Hi Natalie & Lance! Yes, Uno does still love the tub. Though his favorite is the fountain at the Dog Friendly Mall here in Richmond. He could play in those jets of water for hours. He is my silly boy.
Lance is a handsome fellow and I see he is fascinated with the Dishwasher same as Uno. Looked like he was giving you a toy to put in there. Too cute.
Uno will be 1 on the 16th of this month. He is still filling out and I wonder if he will always have the tip over ears. Some people say they could take another 6 months before they stand up if they do. So I am looking forward to finding out.
Did Lance enjoy the snow? I am hoping we get a good snow this year to see what Uno's reaction is. All we had was a dusting last year.
And I agree, I love the corgi in Uno. Though he has some big time Papillon traits too, like not letting me go to the bathroom alone. Races me in, so we have different games to keep him happy. But I love the fact that he is such a snuggler. I sit in the recliner chair and 2 seconds after my feet are up, he is in my lap and tucking his nose between my legs with a big sigh before he goes to sleep. Gotta love that.
Looking forward to hearing from you again soon.
Rose
Thank you, Natalie! My cardigan baby will arrive around Christmas or New Year, I will have photos to share later, please came again to check it out. *^^*
Hi Natalie!
We had a nice weekend. Spencer had to go to the vet...looks like allergies. His paws were red and he was shaking his head, so the ears are involved too! So....spray for the paws, drops for the ears and fish oil. But, he's fine and thats all that matters! How are you doing??? HOws Lance?
I read your post about Lance's black specs on his belly....glad to hear that its not fleas! I bet its the same weed stuff that is making Spence itch! You are right, it never ends.....but I wouldn't have it any other way!!! Keep in touch!
We are fine. Becca and Sarah dressed up with costumes from the resale shop! Becca was a tissue box and Sarah was a clown. Sarah ended up putting her clown collar on Cookie and it worked out well. I will post pictures sometime... After collecting the "mother-load" of candy, we ate tarantula tacos, cheese stick fingers and drank blood grape juice. Then, we watched Edward Scissorhands and went to bed by 9:30 p.m.! The joys of having youngsters! Judi
Yikes!!! Poor Lance. Spencer is doing better...the paws are clearing up. The vet said all will be better when we have a hard freeze. At the rate the weather is going, that should be soon, hopefully.
Hi Natalie...so sorry again...things haven't been well here...husband very sick...many trips to the ER and testing. We don't know what is going on. I am beyond exhausted and so behind in writing to people. You are so faithful, thanks for always keeping in touch!!
We got snow which lasted for about 3 days. We had 60 km winds and about 5 cm of snow. It looked like a real blizzard. It left and I was able to wear capri pants and bare legs....strange. We may get snow again this week. It is really cold on some days and then other days I have all the windows open.
That's funny about your husband's page. I forget what i wrote but I think I wrote it "tongue in cheek". What is his name and I'll check my comment again. Yeah...he never wrote back. Rejected!! Sigh!! LOL
How is work going? and family life?
When is American Thanksgiving...it must be soon. We had ours about 1 month ago. Do you really buy and give presents to everyone just as at Christmas? If so, that must be very expensive and a lot of work!!
Take care, Joy and Butter His winter coat is starting to come in so he is looking a bit more "butterball-ish" haha
Your welcome. Its hard to keep up w/everyone in your friends list and thought that was a nice way to say hello and I haven't forgotten about anyone. Happy Holidays and have a safe one.
I am not sure yet, the litter have 3 puppies, 3 different colors(sable,B&W,Tri color), the breeder said I probable get the B&W, but still have chance to have the tri one.
Need to wait until they are ready to leave.^^
Hi Natalie! Sorry it;s taken me forever to reply, you posted on my page back in Sept. Lance is striking! I love his markings and happy corgi smile :) Corgis are such great dogs!
Hi Natalie and Lance.. Haven't talked to you in awhile. How is Lance liking the colder weather? I am not liking the colder weather lol. I meant to ask if you sent in a picture of Lance for the calender or not. He is so pretty. Hope you are doing okay.
Laura and KC
lol ironically, my boyfriend's mom is named natalie. growing up i never knew anyone else with the name Natalie, but they pop up everyone now and then. lance is gorgeous; is he a cardi?
Hi Natalie...you are so much like me...I think we are the longest letter writers here. I love it!
Thanks for telling me about Thanksgiving...I have always wondered what is was like in the states. We celebrate with the same food but I think it is probably understated compared to the US.
That's great that your sister is having it!! I don't do big hostessting things. Too much stress, not my thing. I love watching Martha Stewart but am definitely not her!!
I have never heard of a gratitute tree...what do you make it out of? It sounds like a wonderful idea. We went to a friends for Thanksgiving last year and we went around the table and everyone was pretty embarrassed to say what they were thankful for. What is wrong with us!!! We all have so much compared to much of the world but we can't express it.
Yeah, last year we had a lot of snow...like when i was a child. Winters have really come back with a vengence.
I miss work Xmas parties, I always used to laugh so much!!! Sometimes I would have to take an asthma puffer to breathe! I just got invited to a ladies party at someone's home through a church i used to attend...I can't wait, I know it will be fun.
That's too bad about your brother-in-law losing his job. It is very frightening with what is happening in the US and everywhere now.
We did a very light Xmas last year because we had to do a lot of changes to the house due to my illness. This year is going to be light too just becuase of the economy. I don't think it is the best time to be spending a lot of money. I guess our family has always had reasonable Xmas's anyway. One gift each, more for the kids.
I personally dont' even really want Xmas gifts...nothing I really need. I think Xmas is crazy with spending hours in stores spending money on people who have everything and wracking our brains as to what to buy people who have everything.
Well, an answer to prayer, we made it through Sat and Sun without a trip to ER. My husband had to go on Friday night though. He is off this week due to back pain...side effect, we think of a new high blood pressure drug.
We still don't know what is going on with his heart and lungs. He is booked for lung tests on Dec. 1 and we are waiting to hear about when he can have his 2 day stress test. It is very concerning but we have a lot of people praying for him and us.
We don't have plans for Thanksgiving...Drew and I are going to fix a roast and Becca and Sarah only want cranberry jelly! Kids! We are looking forward to a quiet weekend. Let us know if you want to do something together!
Hey Natalie- yes I submitted the picture of Tig and Molly for the 2009 calendar. I don't know if they made the cut- there are some really cute corgis on here! And probably less impaired photo taking skills. Cheryl (also on this board) and I had had a couple of glasses of wine and we were starting in on some halloween martinis! Oops! :)
He's a bit of a dag
He won "The Waggiest Tail", "Best Dog Trick (rolled over on comand)" and "The Best Smile" at 'The Welsh Corgi Club of Tasmania' Christmas Fun Day
