He came to us unexpected but greatly welcomed. Our Basset hound that we cherished passed away in Feb.2008 and Koa (our great corgi) came to us in May 2008 thru craigslist. I guess I am partial to "big dogs with short legs"

    Welcome Monique, your husband is too funny, rushing his kids to have grandikds! That is great, I love it! We added Lance knowing we were done having babies, so we got a puppy ( now almost 3), but the wanting never ends, first it was babies now it is puppies, lol!! : ) Now I want another puppy, lol!!!! What a cutie Koa is!

    Koa is so cute! Yes, corgis are very hard to find here Hawaii. We actually got our boys when we lived in Houston. We are now trying to find a breeder, either here in the state, or we are open to possibly going through one in Australia or New Zealand.

    Your dog is adorable! Sounds like our stories are kind of similar. Though my children are still young, they're getting independent and mom needs someone to love on and take care of!! And my husband thinks I love my dogs more than him!! Which is not true, but I do love them. And we lost our precious 13 yr old pekignese about 6 wks ago and it was heartbreaking. But my corgi's are filling the void she left.

    We have wild beaches like that on the Olympic Penninsula, but the best are in the National Park system, nodogs allowed. Harrumph!
