The dogs do love to be groomed and you'll be amazed how much it will help if you just spent 10 mins per dog every other night. You'll see a difference in their hair coat too. What type of dog food are you feeding?
Thanks for your kind message:
My corgi is Joy and next xmas will be 2 years old.
He lives near Milan with me and my wife Sabina (member of this website).
Greetings from Italy !
thanks Karen, you are very kind! Very few people in Italy understand our love for Corgis because this wondeful breed is not very famous here....thank God we have Internet! It would be great to plan meet ups here too to see many Corgis playing together....
yes I am in facebook (sabina sassosaby Lucchin) but I have not found yet the italian group of corgi lovers in Italy. I am in the group "I own a welsh corgi" and in the website of the Corgi fancyers of Italy. I invited 2 friends to subscribe here. Today here I have found the group Italian Corgis......
Hi! Thanks Karen for the wonderful compliment on Lance, we appreciate it! Sounds like you have had quite the corgi experiences, wow 25 years of corgis, how wonderful!! Lance is our first corgi and I hope we have many more to come. The shedding is crazy but so worth it. Before I knew we were going to end up with a corgi when we first started looking into getting a dog, I told my husband I wanted a dog that didnt shed......lol......now I am used to it! Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
These early pictures really show off the blue, it was beautiful! It's only in his right eye and since then it's shrunk to just a spot, but it's still a wonderful!
Bruce is our first corgi of any type (and my first dog) and even though he's lacking the tail he's got a Cardigan temperment through and through. Biagi is italian, I'm third generation American. Sadly my grandfather passed away before he could teach me any of the language.
Hey Happy Birthday to your child who shares a birthday with Uno. Mine is the 26th of November. So remembering his birthday will always be easy. I love your beautiful babies. I have always been partial to corgi's. Such happy dogs. We didn't know Uno's parentage for sure, but as he got older the corgi became more visible. Though his legs are a bit longer, he still has that corgi longer body, shorter leg, stocky build. I don't think his ears will ever fully stand up though. He can "perk" them, but usually only one side at a time. And it looks like yours are window watchers too.
Merry Christmas! I hope you have a safe and happy Holiday!
Rose
Love your babies....Don't you love the way they just take over? They're absolutely Alpha Dogs! My girl, Pippin, rules the roost! They are such characters. Smartest, most inteligent dog i've ever had. Nancy in South Florida.
Ah, you're so sweet! Thank you for the nice comment- all my girls make me smile. Your babies are adorable, too! I especially like the pic where your little guy is hanging out his bed asleep- too funny!
Thank you! Your pictures cracked me up; I love that every Corgi seems to enjoy sprawling out on their back and letting it all hang out. I also really like the little window seat. Frodo has taken up the arm of our couch for that purpose!
Wow, they still look stikingly similar. Well, many corgis do. Anyway, may the best of luck be with you, Cosmo, and Cody for the New Year (yeah, I know it's a little late, but who cares) !
Thank you for accepting :). I will be getting Anselm in about 2 weeks. Around my birthday is how it actually worked out to be. And i couldnt think of anything I want more than a friend XD I just can't even imagine the fun we are going to have when i take him out!
My birthday is Feb. 3rd, and I couldnt be happier im getting him around that time either. Of course, I will be running him around and whenever im not in work taking him out and training him :) I am really finding it hard to wait! It's still a week and a half away or so! Seems so far!
Parenthood is going well! He is learning to be calm in his crate when I go to work! He hasn't messed in the house except in cases where it was my inexperience. I am so proud of our little guy!
Hmm..intriguing thought but I wouldn't know where to begin. I'd have to talk to my vet about exporting a pup and everything that would need to be done and what the pup would go through. I'd also would seriously have to see what he has and see what kind of a breeder he is. Obviously someone who is serious and willing to spend some money if he's wanting to export. I don't even know what that would cost. You could send him my link and then he could inquire w/me so I could get a feel of what he's looking for and be able to refer him on if anything.
No..not at the moment..they canceled my account. LOL I posted to many blogs at once so they automatically canceled me. I haven't responded back to them on the issue to resolve it since I've had so much other stuff to deal with. I have a myspace account though. http://www.myspace.com/wendyscorgis
He is definitely very intelligent. He likes to stay up late too... Not too bad when I work late shifts during the week, but on the weekends it is a bit tough. Still, I love the little bundle of energy!
Antonio contacted me already and was impressed w/my dogs. He seems very nice so I sent him an e-mail back that was some what lengthy. He is wanting to correct one area of fault in his dogs which I did notice in the one particular female. We'll see what comes of it. He does know one breeder that helped pick out my CO pup. The website he sent me was all in Italian and he said to click on the Italian flag for English that isn't completely finished but I saw no flag. LOL I'll have to check out the link you provided me. If anything else he seems like someone to keep intouch w/to talk corgis back and forth. Lets hope everything works out and will benefit him and I. Thanks for the lead also.
Your link was much more valuable. I haven't heard back from him as of yet. I appreciate your offer to translate. Right now we'll just see how things go and what he wants to do. The biggest question I had for him is when or how soon he wants a pup. This is something that shouldn't be rushed on. I hope to hear from him and thanks for the contact as long as it all works out. LOL
Just saw your comment. Thanks! Having a toddler at home was a concern for us before....mostly for the puppy's sake. But he's doing really well with the cat. We have the "no ears, no tails" rule. Of course he wants to grab both, but he's learned to "touch gently".
It's probably a little easier when the cat or dog is in the home first...beofre the toddler can harass them. :) Thanks for the encouragement and good story!
She is something else...She loves to tear and shred. She loves the earth and is almost like a gardener or grazing animal. She picks out all the old foliage and removes it..digs holes in certain spots and she tore up my sprinkler system hose. Put if I ever catch her and tell her no, she immediately stops..what a good girl.
Well I haven't heard back from Antonio Beato yet but my facebook account was reinstated. LOL They apologized!!! Whoa..now thats getting somewhere. hehe Have a fantastic weekend.
Maybe he's waiting for litters and wants to get things organized on his end. Like you said..who knows. LOL Still would of been nice of him to get back to me. Whether I'm interested or not I try to let them know..its only courteous to keep one posted. Facebook acct. name is Wendt Worth Corgis.
I'm not on facebook much at all. I come and go real quick on there. LOL I'm working on new pictures I took of a few of the dogs..trying to liquidate from all that was taken. LOL
Hi!! Sorry it took so long to get back with you. Yes, I rescued them in Vegas. I got Ein from Lied animal shelter in '03. Lilly came to me from Adopt a rescue Pet in Nov '07. My daughter just got Twinkie, a 3 yr old Pembroke fromm a displaced family (craig's list). I will keep my ears open and if another corgi pops up I will let you know. I did meet up with another corgi lady that got 2 Pembrokes from Henderson animal shelter.

He is very good on leash, surprisingly so.
I guess I am just a worried new father! I suppose it is the same for human fathers too.
Beautiful corgis, by the way!
