About Me:
My name is Jamie Jo and I have been lucky to have had two corgi children in my life. We got Penny and Lucy in 2008 while I was going to WSU (go cougs!). Corgis bring such a happiness and brightness to my life that I can't imagine having with any other kind of animal.

On April 8th 2011, we lost our sweet Lucy after we had her spayed. I know that she is fraping around Heaven and I can't wait until we are reunited again.

In July we decided to get a little brother for Penny. We found Copper from a breeder in Battleground and he had made our family feel whole again. He's such a puppy! He's loves to chew on shoes and annoy his older sister, but I love the smiles and kisses he gives me :)
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
My girls are half sisters that are five days apart (Dec. 19th and 24th). They are both tri-colored and are registered through the AKC. Lucy is the older one and she is so stubborn and head-strong! Penny is the sensitive baby and loves to wake her mommy and daddy up at five in the morning with plenty of kisses and chewbacca noises.

Copper is a Pem and is not AKC registered. He is pure-bred, but his dad was not papered. He's super ornery but is playful all of the time. He's definitely a mama's boy.
I have:
Pembroke

    Welcome Jamie, Penelope and Lucille!
  • Stephanie & Lola

Welcome!! Your babies are too cute =)
  • Cam

Yeah really! We need more corgi's here. Every time I go out for a walk with mine someone goes fawning over him and how adorable he is... and then mistakes him for another dog completely. Makes me face-palm.

Your corgi's are so adorable! ^_^ Tri-colored corgi's are the best ever!
  • FuzzyButt

Not so! I know plenty of people who live in Washington that know about/want/have corgis! Some just live on the other side of the mountains.
  • FuzzyButt

Yes!! I can't wait! I at least want today to be Wednesday. But alas it is not.
  • Kathie and Tucker

Thank you for the welcome, Jamie Jo. I'm glad to hear from corgi lovers anywhere, and was delighted to discover this site.
I never see corgi's here, and there don't seem to be any breeders over here on the eastern side of Washington state. We got Tucker from Hood River, Oregon.
Added to the fact that no one seems to know what a corgi is, Tucker is a cardi, and after they ask what he is and get told a Welsh Corgi, they then ask, "and what else? He's a mixed breed isn't he? After all there is that tail..." **GRRRR**
  • Corgi lover! (Misty)

Hi I'm not sure if you were leaving that comment on the Washington State Corgis page for me or not...lol. If you did I was raised about 50 miles north of Tri-Cities. I went to school in Lind Wa. which is about 20 miles south of Ritzville.
  • Corgi lover! (Misty)

Yeah I like it too! I was trying to talk my husband into moving there...lol. I used to live up in Bellingham too. But it's nice here too...lol.
  • LaVerne & Shirley

    Greetings from Wenatchee!
Oh my gosh your dogs are beautiful. I was so tempted to get 2 at the same time but I chickened out. How has it been? Im going to get another pup next year some time. Hoping for Spring.
  • Randi with Elphie, Tommy and Puppies

Hey, Jamie Jo, I like your page! Thursday night office parties sound too fun.
  • Mean Eyed Corgi

Yep, I've lived in Pullman for almost 5 years. Moved here to go to grad. school and we ended up buying a house and staying. Your corgis are very cute btw :)
  • Mean Eyed Corgi

Yay, that was quite the win -- 16-13 in double overtime. Good Job Cougars!
  • Boots and Superstar!

I love the pic with the pup sleeping inside the shoe! *warms*....
  • Corgi lover! (Misty)

Aawwww I'm sorry! Hopefully that will be soon? LOL You're not too far from the breeder that I'm getting Chesney from I'll give you her info when you are ready if you want! The girls are lookin cute!
  • Corgi lover! (Misty)

Yay for the Cougs!! I wish I could move home! LOL My husband says no way though...lol. Maybe some day.
  • Todd & Hannah

Aw that is so cute!!! Thank you, we were very happy they allowed him to be in our wedding :) Your corgis are beautiful! My older brother is in the UW med school and he is over where you are in pullman for his first year. How is it having two? We definitely want another one!
  • Todd & Hannah

I'm really excited to get a second one. Like you said I think it would be really helpful and more fun for Rotor. He's great but I know he loves the attention. Yes we got dumped on last night! And it's been WAY colder than usual. It's supposed to stay below freezing for the next five days which is unusual. I heard it's been snowing alot there! Do your corgis love it?
  • Bree

Yay go COUGS!! I definately miss Pullman- so I hope you are enjoying it! I bet it is freezing and snowy over there now!

I love your Corgi's names! I especially like Lucy's name! How fun, having two girls!
  • Todd & Hannah

Oh yes! Rotor loves the snow! We have had so much he has to hop around in it because it comes up to his head! He has a hard time going to be bathroom lol. But he loves it, he will spend hours in it. I can't believe it just keeps coming and coming! Have a merry Christmas!

If you're in Pullman, find some hikers with a dog and go do this loop in the Quincy Wildlife Refuge. Maybe not in snake season; we did it in November. It's corgi-friendly terrain except for parts of the talus slope on the north side of Dusty Lake.

BTW, your photos on Washington State Corgies take a really long time to load. If you make copies of them, compress those down to 100-200 kB or so and repost them, the group will download much faster. Those are gorgeous dogs.
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

Thank you so very much..I have to completely agree w/you. LOL Now thats a biased opinion!
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

LOL..I know all too well the ulterior motives we need to do to get the lesser half (hehe) to agree to it.
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

I've heard of it but not familiar of its where abouts but welcome once upon a time neighbor. LOL Your from Washington, correct?
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

Your lucky!! Mine love the snow but for some reason Ohio is lacking the white fluffy stuff this year. Mine do the tunnel bit also. You've got to check out my one video on my profile of the Corgi in the snow. It will be a familiar site I'm sure and my all time favorite one is the corgi dancing for his food. Its hysterical. He is such a doll. But if you want to remind yourself of how fortunate you are to have your corgis..check out the video called A guy and his baby girl but get the tissue box ready.

I asked if you were in Washington since I had a girl from Washington travel up here this summer to get one of my pups. Shes a vet assistant or tech.
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

I don't know but her name was Pa Lor. Her parents raised and showed Huskeys and she had a gorgous Huskey w/her when she came.
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

Yes the kibble dance...doesn't matter how many times I watch that video I crack up.
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

I like that name. Its different but not strange. My newest Corgi I got from Colorado and I have been wanting this pedigree for awhile but the dogs are pricey and she doesn't allow just anyone to have open registration so I named her Sian meaning Gods Gift in Welsh. I pronounce it like "sigh Anne"
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

Are you a stalker? LOL Thats my Winston who does the chewie cha bacca imitations and he is my boy. I love that dog to death. You couldn't ask for a better mannered male. He's the father to my pups and up incoming litter. Corgis are known for their Corgiese language and I love it too death. Whenever anyone of them do it..I make the biggest fuss out of it so they end up doing it more. Aren't they the greatest dogs in the World?
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

Well I was a huge fan of bully breeds and was into the Akitas but I wasn't breeding. I always wanted to get into the dogs but had my horses I was showing and raising. When I needed to be home more I started selling the horses and was given my first Corgi for my daughter. LOL Yeah okay whatever..that became my dog. hehe From there my addiction started. I just started researching and studying the breed and it was about 2 yrs later had my first litter. After that I started to get other dogs and let my 2 original dogs go since I didn't feel they were the best of quality in conformation or minds. Thats how it all got started.
  • Mean Eyed Corgi

Hey Jamie Jo, Naw we didn't get flooded too bad. We live on a hill. My wife said the footbridge downtown (next to Taco Del Mar) is closed as the river is running real high.
  • Bella Doggie

Thats funny, I am going to SPSCC right now.. I've got about a year left then I am going to UW at the tacoma campus :)
  • Carleigh and Ein

I know this is random but my cat looks identical to yours. down to the rings on the tail, its really weird lol and i was wondering if you knew anything about the type of cat it is, because we've been trying to figure it out for the longest time and have never seen another cat like her.
  • Carleigh and Ein

haha, Boda (my cat) is just like that. When she wants attention you can hear her meow echoing down the hallway outside of my apartment lol. She likes my dogs now but it took a while for them to grow on her. That's just so weird lol they could be twin cats :P i wonder why i've never seen another one like her.
  • Shel7997

how funny! Elma huh? I know where that is....and I think I know where that corn maze is:) I haven't been though:)

You have two little darlings! I love my girls, but Bucks was in trouble yesterday for chewing on the frame of the new bed (she loves wood). If you come to Centralia stop in at the Centralia Outlets mall office and say hello. Melanie, Lizzie, and Bucks.
