Half sisters Figg (Figgie Pudding) from CH Phi-Vestavia Nott A Gamble and Visa, and Newton (Your Darn Tootin' Newton) from CH Phi-Vestavia Nott A Gamble and Harvestmoon-Notts Daily News. Figg was born February 17, 2008 and Newton on July 14, 2008. Same father, different mothers. Biscuit (Nabisco) from CH Notts Boomer Sooner and CH Somerset's Eleanor Rigby was born May 21, 2009. All arrived by plane from Oklahoma from Sharon Nottingham's NOTZMO/NOTZ Kennels (www.corgis.biz). She has wonderful dogs and is a pleasure to deal with.
Hello Jill!
I have two (red) brindle boy puppies. The only girl and two of the boys are "black and white" (tricolour brindle points).
Two brindle parents can get brindle, tricoloured (tan or "black and whites") red or sobel puppies. All depending on what they have in their background. But they can never get blue puppies.
Your Cardis are very cute. I especially like the one with more white. I almost got a blue merle from Notzmo a while back. I talked to Sharon and she was very nice and easy going.
Wow I am excited to see other cardigans from Sharon Notingham. We got Le_Le from her last Feb. King George was her father and she was born in Fed. 2006. We got her at 2 so we have a few bonding issues to deal with and her fearfulness of strangers but she has settled in now after 11 months. She is a wonderful dog and my husband and I feel so lucky to have her.
Le-Le is a very sweet corgi and is growing each day. I think some of her issues might have come from her handler when she was being shown... then when she was back at the breeders, her husband got sick and that has been hard on the family. She was just not socialized with people much. Le-Le likes other dogs and plays well with them. I noticed recently that Sharon has several adult dogs for sale including Le-Le's father who is a beautiful blue merle. If we wanted a second dog I would consider him. Her dogs are beautiful and that is what drew us to get Le-Le. I agree about the sweet personalities. Do your dogs bark much? Le-Le is really quiet I think for a corgi. Maybe that will change with time.
Interesting... Le-Le will bark at certain men more than woman, might be a size thing. We are not getting a second dog since it is so much easier to travel with just the one in our truck. We had two dogs for years and it is fun to have more than one but can be more work or shall I say double the trouble.
Your corgis are beautiful! They have such gorgeous color and markings. The more pictures of cardigans I see, the more I want one. I wouldn't trade my pem, Dax, for the world, but I'd love to add a cardi to the family.
Oh! I thought that's who they were! I have a pup from Notzmo kennels myself; I cannot say enough good things about him, he's just an awesome dog. Yours are beautiful; I adore those brindles, especially the vividly marked ones! :D
Yup! Simon's from there (he's from Dona's) and he's just the mellowest, sweetest, nicest boy. I really liked Visa myself, and I loved Simon's mom too. I had my heart set on a merle - and I just love the boys, but I would have been happy with a girl - I wanted a show prospect puppy, and hopefully, we'll get into the ring soon. :)
I absolutely would get another pup from them; this guy had a fabulous foundation, he's been one of the easiest, well-socialized puppies I've ever dealt with. Hahah, he does love to have something in his mouth at all times though. Fetch, fetch, fetch! ;)
I have to say, I thought Figg and Newton's names were just adorable - when I saw them on her page, I thought - oh, now, that's terribly clever! They're just gorgeous to boot!
I understand about having three dogs, though. :) I'm used to four, so right now the house feels a little empty with just three.
I hoped she would go to a good home. I absolutely adored her! I thought about adding "just one more" too! If I would have...I would have wanted her to be the "just one more". Hug her once for me when she finally arrives! =)
Oh! Congratulations! :D I'm sorry I didn't get back to this sooner, I've been crazy with work and then fighting the flu and it's winning. ;) I loved her, I thought she was gorgeous - I love me a red brindle dog with a flashy face, I do!
