I am a retired Veterinary AHT and Practice Manager. I worked in the Veterinary field for over 20 years, and I loved every minute of it. I was very fortunate to have a career that I absoloutly loved.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Tucker is my fur baby. Tucker loves to go to the park and hang his head out the car window. I would take him to work with me and the Doctor's would sit on the floor and do their medical notes while Tucker slept in their chair. Tucker and I walk about 2-3 miles per day and he takes the lead. He always stops to chat with all the neighbors. Tucker loves his kitties...Teddy & Punnie.
Hi Sherri! Thanks for commenting on my page! I need to put up some more pics of Daphne, the one we kept. (We have three now). My husband and I have been looking in awe at Tucker! Our puppies' dad is a fluffy...how very fortunate you are. Keep in touch!!
Tucker is adorable. Your post about him sleeping in the chair while the Drs made their notes sitting on the floor tickled me clear thru...lol. There is something about Corgis that make people so happy just to be near them. A little piece of Heaven on Earth.
Hi Sherri,
We (Bunny, our kitties, my daughter and I) live in Santa Rosa. We frequently walk Saturday mornings (7:15 or so until about 8:30) at Doyle Park in Santa Rosa. Bunny loves it, lots of dogs, lots of space.
We'd love a playdate sometime.
Welcome and nice to meet Tucker and you,
Cathi
Hi Sherri,
Very understandable! How awful for Tucker; I've heard other such experiences from others with dogs. Our neighbor's beagle was attacked by two pitbulls while walking on a leash.
I'm very watchful - almost paranoid - when walking Bunny, even in a dog park. Sometimes at Doyle Park the humans aren't very attentive to how their dogs are behaving towards other dogs. I keep Bunny close to me even when she's off leash, so if something happens, I can scoop her up quickly.
We often walk by ourselves behind Santa Rosa High School, in a large field used for sports practice. Early ams or late evenings, and Bunny can run freely in a semi-enclosed area not near any roads.
Too bad for Tucker, post traumatic stress syndrome it sounds like. Imagine being attacked walking down the street - frightful!
Bless his little spirit and you for keeping him safe and working with him so he can enjoy the activities he does enjoy.
Nice to meet you,
Cathi
Hi Sherri! I had to stop by and say hello to a fellow vet tech/practice manager! I, unfortunately, had to give up being a tech because of Rheumatoid Arthritis but moved into the position of practice manager. I have been doing my research into becoming a CVPM which I hope someday to accomplish. Many kudos to you for all your years of hard work. I totally understand how you feel about vet med. It's a career that is both very difficult and very rewarding at the same time. Please be sure to give much corgi love to Tucker (and Teddy and Punnie too!)! <3
My thoughts and prayers are with you and Tucker. I wish I could reach though the computer to give you a huge hug and a shoulder to cry on. I lost my sweet boy Heston to cancer so I understand exactly how you feel. If you need someone to talk to please feel free to email me.
You have all my sympathy. I do know what you are going through as I lost my previous Cardi Rhys to cancer when he was still a relatively young dog. The devastation is only increased by the sheer unexpectedness of it all. Luther sends his love to you as well.
I just can not imagine what you are going through but Tucker is lucky to have a loving family and hopefully you will take comfort in remembering him well and happy as you go through this time.
sherri, i wanted to let u know that even though we r not close that i am here for u, i know how u feel. i am so sorry about tucker, my thoughts and prayers are with u in this time of need. hes is lucky to have such a loving family
Just read about Tucker. I will keep you and Tucker in my thoughts and prayers, so sorry you and Tucker are going through this. How is Tucker doing now?
