About My Corgi(s):: I love my 2 corgi mutts! Astro, the black one, came to us just at the right time and then his foster family told us about Starla at the shelter. So, we went and introduced the 2 of them and they became the best of friends.
It is a very nice "stray/rescue" situation- they are both already trained! Potty, car, going to the vet, leash---and very well socialized!!!!!! We go to the bark park 2 times a week and believe me- they know what day it is! They love to run and to heard and meet new friends.

Ahh, they are still puppies. Rueben came to me when he was 3 so I missed his puppyhood. I saw some similiar features as well between our dogs. My parents have always done the purebred thing and although they were good animals they still were high strung (poodles & yorkies). My previous dog was a mix (retriever/shepherd) and really was a wonderful dog and lived to be 15. Rueben is another mix and I think I've converted to the corgi mix world. I love him so.....

It is a very odd combination. Wellie has a brother "out there" somewhere who looks just like him only with red hair, and another brother with a German shepherd head! He had already been adopted by the time we saw Wellington but he must have been quite a sight.

Actually, we haven't gone to any yet. Finn gets his last shot at the end of December so until then the vet advised us not to take him to any parks. I drive by that park all the time though and before we even got Finn I wanted to go there. Once he gets his last shot, we'll definitley be heading down there! I don't really know of any other dog parks in Scottsdale. I only know of a couple that are more west but any time I've gone by them there are only one or two people there. That's no fun!

Aww, so they're still youngins. Finn is our only dog. He is 3 months old so he's just a baby. He's very smart and a lot of fun. We're looking into getting him into puppy classes at Petsmart. Did you do any obedience classes?

Thanks! I'm surprised at how well he interacts with all the other people and dogs considering when we're at our apartment complex he has to bark at everything that moves. :) We had a lot of fun with you guys and would totally do it again. :)

Great! Cowboy (our black and white one) can pull off the corgi look, he's just a bit tall, but Luka looks like a mini husky/fox thing! lol We're soo excited to see everyone! I've been keeping my camera charged! (Now lets just hope I don't foget it!)
We live in East Mesa, so it took us a little over an hour to get there! Well worth the trip though to see everyone!

Thanks. My birthday ended up great, although a little too corgi-less, lol. I'm definitely planning to go to the 3rd one. I just hope I don't have to work that day.. Do you think I should ask for a day off? I feel like it's not a good enough excuse though. "Reason: Going to a dog park even though I don't have a dog to meet some dogs of the breed that I'm interested in getting." I don't know it just sounds weird. Or I could just say "A meet up with friends."

hey! yeah, joe wouldn't stop talking about it until I went on the website. this is great though! maybe when we start talking about getting another one, we'll find her on here. haha. thanks for referring us. :D

do you have any news on the next meet up though? I leave for bootcamp April 7th, and I don't know if joe'll be too shy to bring Turbo to a meeting on his own. haha. maybe his mom will go with with her dog Harley, the corgi mix? who knows, sorry, I'm rambling, just let me know if you get any news. thanks!
