About My Corgi(s):
TALLULAH WAS BORN ON OCTOBER 22, 2008. WE BROUGHT HER HOME THE WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS WHEN THE TEMPERATURE HERE WAS -22 AND MUST SAY THAT POTTY TRAINING WENT WELL. TALLULAH LOVES KIDS, OTHER ANIMALS AND WATER. OH, AND LETS NOT FORGET FOOD!! THIS IS MY FIRST CORGI AND I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH.
I'll be in Italy until March of 2011. Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I was in the process of moving and lacked internet. So glad to have it back!
Just love, love, love your pictures of Tallulah....especially the one of her as a pup in the boot....Perfect for cold weather....Isn't she just the most striking corgi.....Wow....My two best friends are both red and white....I love them and have more fun then anyone should be allowed watching them run around and direct my life. I am surprised they don't tell me when I can and cannot eat...they surely manage to let me know when I should drop everything and take part in their playtime. That consists of a good race around the yard..frisbee throwing....ball retrieving...sometimes they do the retieving...but just as often I seem to be doing it....
They have hurdles to jump...a tunnel to run through and this time of year lots and lots of leaves and goodies that fall from the trees that they snatch up as snacks. Thank goodness none of the snacks are harmful because they can find them and eat them faster than I can say NO.
Our walks consist of can't we go a little faster so I can catch up to the nice doggie ahead of me....or see those people, We just bet they would be good for some petting...Not to mention the hidden agenda of perhaps getting a treat thrown in. Sometimes I wonder what I ever did without them. Hope you are having a great day....Marion
OK, I know that you are busy traveling so do not think you have to sit right down and answer this...but just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and hoping that you are having a wonderful trip.
Of course...it's good here...rain, 4-5 inches and wind up to 55 mph...what do we owe this all too...hurricane IDA, of course. The house smells like wet Corgis...they certainly were not meant to be water dogs....they are my fair weather friends. Sammy thinks the best thing to do when he is outside in this stuff is hide in the tunnel...good thinking, Merry is just digusted that I would even let her delicate feet in the wet...After all a princess just shouldn't have to suffer her dignity in such a way. Travel safe...Marion
Dear TALLULAH!
Thank You for this nice words! According to the registration of Hungarian Kennelclub, there are only 7 corgis in Hungary (pembroke). That's, why you dont saw corgis here... :-)We are looking forward your next visit by us in Budapest.
Just stopping by to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year....such a busy time of year.....My tree is up and the other decorations in their places....Sammy and Merry are busy trying to guess what they are getting this year. The elves will not tell them. Have been looking at all you pictures....They are truly a delight....especially puppy in a boot. Love to all of you. Marion
Hi Tallulah
Thanks so much for the welcome! Aren't Corgis great! I never knew anything about them until we HAD to bring Lily home! Now she owns us!LOL
Sharon
Merry Christmas....our snow is melting......I am glad...it has gotten too crusty and I am concerned that the dogs may get their legs cut when they fall through the top.
My pups are happy with their Christmas stockings. After all, what corgi doesn't love food.
Hope you will have spring this year....We are so cold here....unusual for Virginia....Thought we would burn up with the summer drought, but now we have had nothing but wet....wet...wet....and wet snow....The fireplace is working overtime....We had a very special Christmas....My daughter was with me this year...Sammy and Merry had a Christmas morning treat of hiking in the woods....and comming home to bones that were in their stockings. Hope your New Year will be full of happiness for you and your family....Marion
Thanks for the welcome. I am very new to this and havent got a clue what I am doing, so I will probably end up deleting more messages than actually reading/sending. Pheobe is 4.5 months old and is a chow cross corgi. She is absolutely wonderful and so so clever. We live in North Wales, UK, with my husband.
The corgi duet in Virginia have romped through Christmas and into the New Year....They have demolished the huge bones that were in their Christmas Stockings and are dissapointed to learn that they are now back to the smaller knuckle bones..but I notice they do not refuse them. Tonite we are expecting a dusting of snow....I guess that will not be enought for them to really play in, but maybe we can go for a walk while it is snowing....They really like that. Best wishes for a Happy New Year....from all of us at our home to all of you at yours. Marion
Just checking in to see how you are surviving the winter. We have had more winter this year that I can remember since comming to Virginia. Today we are expecting...snow...rain...freezing rain..sleet...take your pick, they are not sure what is comming, just that something will arrive around noon...thankfully we are supposed to be on the light end of this event....Merry and Sam are wondering if they will ever see green grass again...however Merry likes eating the frozen snow chunks...Sam runs around chasing the birds and squirrels and then sitting in front of me asking to come in and warm up....Love my dogs...don't know what I would do without them. I think they look like 4-legged kangaroos jumping through the snow....You know they don't even get their bellys wet....Now I am talking about 4-10 inches of snow...depending where they are in the yard...Amazing...Well I'm off to get a "Fireball" at Starbucks....Stay Warm
Hi and thanks for the welcome. Boy Tallulah sure looks like my Lily, only Lily is a bit chubby (her former owners fed her people food). Looking forward to chatting with fellow Corgi lovers!
That is so cute! We called Lily "the snowplow" this winter! Lily is a real grumbly talker always growl-talking. Any experience with this? She's almost seven but we've only had her about a year.
Thanks much! The husband, Roxy and I are going on a hike this weekend. I'm hoping she does something picture-worthy along the way to I can get some good pictures of her up on the site.
HI! your tri is incredibly gorgeous!! i must inquire about her name though! Where did you find such a beautiful name?? there is a song called Tallulah by a band called Sonata Arctica from Finland and that is the only time i have ever heard it haha (:
Thanks for all your help with the dog food. She loves it and ate it immediately, instead of ignoring it like she had been her old food. How do we find out when there are events in our area?
