Hi -- thanks for your comment. Your Jakey looks mighty cute, and I bet he has tons of fun with Sheba -- sorry to see above about his ACLs, poor little guy. Let us know what the doc says. We hate to see our babies suffer and they are such important parts of our lives. I don't know where I'd be without my bubbies. Good luck at the docs! There are a lot of threads on here about ACLs -- people have had good results both from noninvasive approaches (rest, etc.) and surgery. There's a place up here, in Marbledale, that does doggy physical therapy and water therapy. Let us know if you want to know more about it.

Glad you like the pictures. I love taking pictures and Quincy is such a ham he makes it easy! lol!

It is nice to see there are other Corgi's from CT on this site. I grew up in the Hartford area and moved to the shore 12 years ago and just love it!

Jake is ADORABLE!!! He looks so happy! Sorry to hear about his injury :( hope he is back to normal real soon. Many of the pictures I posted were taken at Bluff Point in Groton. Have you ever been there? Great place to go with your dog, a favorite of Quincy's, he also loves to swim so I try to go to places where he can take a dip.

Keep us posted on how Jake is doing. Maybe when Jake gets better we can plan a CT Corgi meet up....

Hi Jill -what a cute guy (as they all are). I strongly recommend finding a place for underwater treadmill therapy-it does wonders, low inpact, the water takes 40% of their weight off their legs and the water takes work to walk through-we generally start when the Dr. oks, usually after the stitche/staples are removed-don't do just swimming-it doesn't help the rear legs-Good Luck

Thanks! There's a website called Mixbook.com that does free online scrapbooking. I made it there. It's super-easy, I have several of my baby on there too - great for moms who have little to no time b/c you can use a pre-made book where all you have to do is upload photos and put them where you want them. You can also order a hard or soft cover printed version of your online book. I love it!

Anyway, hopefully you can see the profile pic from your home computer. I did a double take b/c it's the same pose (my dog just happens to have a pink sweater on and be sitting in dirt instead of leaves. :) Your Jakey is so cute! :)

Sorry for the delay in responding to your kind wishes, things were a little crazy over the holidays!  I hope you both enjoyed the holidays and that 2011 will be a great your for you guys!  How was your cruise?  We need to make a plan to get the boys together for a play date sometime in the new year.  I totally understand what you mean about Jake and other dogs, Quincy can be "fresh" too.  We have been working on it... I am sure Jake and Quincy will work it out.  I found out there is a new dog park near the water in Stonington if you care to venture a little further than bluff point.  We have not gone there yet but my neighbors daughter loves it and Quincy will love there is place he can go swimming!   Maybe we can plan a play date for the spring once the snow stops flying!   I also have no objections driving up your way either. Thanx for your message of encouragement.Merlin's doing really well on his surgery leg and not good on the right back leg,which is his new booboo.Our Vet broke His left hand 2 days after Merlin's first surgery and will not be clear to operate again for another week.So,Merlin

is only doing short walks and lots of downtime waitting for next week.Then it's back to zero again and start all over!!Really glad I'm retired now.
