Wow! Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.
We are going to start purchasing items in preparation for the puppys arrival. I would appreciate your suggestions on toys (as well as warnings), Also crates ect.
Posted is the newest picture of Yoli. I feel very fortunate that the breeder (Poso Creek) sends regular pictures. Here she is at 3ish weeks old.
HI Vicki,
The introduction went fairly smoothly. We used a baby gate to make a separated space for "the baby". THe dogs could see and smell each other but not touch (except noses!). First we let them sniff each other out in the front drive (neutral territory), then took a short walk together. After coming home, we put Sidney behind the gate and sat down with a bag of treats. We took turns giving little bites of treat to all three dogs, we sat for quite awhile doing this. We'd let him out for short bouts of togetherness, then separate them again. After a little while we were able to leave them together all the time. Good luck!
Hello again,
For long stretches of time (with no humans around), we took about a month or two before we felt comfortable leaving all three together. But for supervised time, I think the following day we let them be together and get to know each other.
Hi Vicki,
I attend the portland meet-ups and they are super fun!!! I got Teagen reserved after she was born and the breeder emailed me pics. weekly =) It was fun internet dating my puppy till she could come home!!
Hi Vicki - Sorry for the late reply. We were in Chicago for the long weeken and got back on Monday but needed a couple of days to recover from the 8 hour drive back!! Yes, Tallulah has always been a defined black. Her fur looks beautiful with a wonderful shine!
Welcome! We are from Arizona but we got Nibbler from Poso Creek Puppies as well. I lived for those pictures she would send before we were able to get her! Congratulations on your new addition!
Welcome, we are from Tehachapi and Bonny is a sister of Nibbler. We also have another Corgi, Rosie, she is from a different breeder and very shy. Kim's pups don't have that problem I don't think!
Yeah, to a dog our motions and face can look a LOT different from various "altitudes"! I start off on ground level to be more approachable, but I quickly move to standing up in order for him to get used to what the command looks/sounds like from that position.
Woah... he is big then! Brody is doing good... he has a backyard... a pool and lots of friends.... There is a couple of corgi's in the area... but we haven't officially met yet...
I love your pictures! I bet your home is full of love, laughter, and corgi fur! We have two corgis, I would love to have three! Keep posting your great pictures!
we bumped into Corra (Rocco and Brody's sister) today... it's was uncanny meeting them in Phoenix since they were from San Diego too... she is definitely smaller than Brody! It really makes me wonder how Rocco is doing in size!
thank you! I'm excited as well, especially since she'll be my very first corgi. I'm picking her up May 12th (the day before mother's day!). She'll be 10 weeks old by then. I hope I didnt miss too much for not picking her up at 8 weeks, but we just couldnt seem to agree on a date to meet up with Kim. I thing I already regret on not being able to see her ears pop up because it already did. We havent chosen a name yet because my husband wants to meet her first and then match a name to her personality. I like the name Bailey... do you think it sounds okay for a girl?
Btw, your dogs are soooo adorable! Hopefully my baby grows up looking as cute as them.
We should try to have a meet up in the LA or in SD?? We were thinking of having the three meet up if we could! we even tossed the idea for their birthday!

Hi... I was wondering what to expect to learn from a puppy class?

I can't take much credit for the clear actions shots, I have a really nice DSLR (Nikon D7000) camera that does all the work. :)

Thanks! Rocco's picture with his ears up made me yearn to re-experience puppyhood. Maybe Ace could have a lil' sibling later this year... so tempting!
