About My Corgi(s):
Gromit was born in September of '09. He is the third Corgi I've been owned by and what he lacks in a tail he makes up for with his tongue. Gromit is named for the super smart dog "Gromit" in the "Wallace & Gromit" movie series from the UK. Our newest family member is Sparkle, a female Corgi, who was born in January of 2012. Sparkle is as bright and happy as her name. Her brother Rocky is on MyCorgi, too: http://mycorgi.com/profile/RRG
I have:

Too much for me. I'll skip the IR and content myself with letting them look cool.

I do feel for the people and dogs in hot climates -- Gwynnie did seem to be feeling the sun and heat last weekend (July 24) -- even with snow to cool her feet. I do notice in the IR of Watson (?) that the pads seem warmer, so maybe they do lose some heat through the pads.

The ChillyBuddy vest is designed for airflow, seems fairly well-perforated.

But I can't find any research on tinfoil helmets; it's not known if they'll still screen out extraterrestrial brain implants if they have airflow perforations.

Thanks he will do anything for a cookie!

I'm confused as usual. What does IR mean? Implant-resistant (as in a tinfoil helmet)?

Who can keep up with you guys from Mars? Obviously not me. I'm from Venus, and proud of it. <wink>

Thanks for your kind words. I'm sure I will find solace here. I'm already singing to my family "All I want for Christmas is a corgi pup..."

Thank you! I am excited to read about others adventures as well.
• Emily & Cooper

Thank you! I agree! The more Corgis the merrier! Is Casa Grande southern or northern AZ? You have beautiful dogs! Gromit is gorgeous!
• Emily & Cooper

Yeah, the desert is a very interesting place to live. i am enjoying it so far. I want to meet more Corgi lovers, maybe have a corgi outing, but the state is so large all the Corgis are very widespread. It is wonderful to talk to people on this forum though, spread the Corgi love.
• Emily & Cooper

Hmm, that sounds really fun! I have heard of the Corgi Cactus Rescue and I would love to participate! It will be a bit of a drive but that isn't a deterrent, it is always nice to take a roadtrip. =) And Cooper loves car rides! He is so small, I have to lift him, but he loves to stick his head out the window! Thank you for bring it to my attention, maybe i will see you and Gromit there?
• Emily & Cooper

Oh man, anything to help Corgis in need! And it sounds like fun! it's funny most of the people I know had never even seen a Corgi but now that I have been talking them up , they all want one. haha

What a beautiful tribute you have made on the link. It appears that Gromit likes the computer as well as you do. I spent every moment with them and it is not enough.

I think it is great that you are willing to take the time to give individual help!
• steve smith

Hi again

I have noticed that Gromit likes the Windows computer...I can't get Dino off the computer either but he prefers DOS 5.0. I can't get over how happy Gromit is in all the pictures. I can tell that you take really good care of each other.

Gromit and Doug: Can you teach me how to add thought bubbles to my pictures?

• Snickmom

I get it, you add the thought bubble before you upload the picture. I thought there was some way to use the stickers included in mycorgi. thanks

• Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Hope all your wishes come true!

We got Will when his owner died of cancer. He was almost 2 years old. He was a show dog, so we took him to a Pem Show in the Chcago area 3 weeks after we got him. We were there just to see what the shows were like, not to compete. We already had him neutered by the time the show happened. Anyway, this older man walked by and said "He's got The Phantom in him." I was lost. The man owned The Phantom (AKA Tommie, already deceased) and he explained that he could see "his Tommie" in Will's face. I knew only his Dame side of the family. I told this man that I had no idea who Will's father was. Then I bumped into Will's old handler who told me that the guy was right. I could not figure out who he knew that Will had The Phantom in him until I looked up pictures of The Phantom on the internet. Will does look like his daddy.

Later, I saw a picture on MyCorgi of another dog, Caden. He looked so much like Will that I wrote the family and found out that these boys are littermates. We met that family at the Illinois Corgi Picnic last September. The brothers were reunited. My 2 Corgis seemed to have a special bond with Caden. It was amazing!

If you want to see Caden's pictures look up members "Mike and Lisa" from Pearl City, Illinois. When I first found Caden's pictures I copied one and showed it to my husband. I asked him what he thought of the photo and he thought it was a good picture of Will. He was very surprised to learn it was not our boy.

• Deadrisk

:) give me corgi or give me death.

• LA Stewart

Since you added Will to your collection of family pictures, let me give you his complete name. Wyndtree Shakespeare in Love (AKA Will) Born: October 26, 2007

So the man I met at the Pem Show that recognized Will as a Phantom offspring was Art and his wife is Pat Sandy-Smith? Is that right? Thanks for the info.

I had a dream that your little Sparkle was living with us. My dogs loved playing with her. I was worried that I didn't have her potty trained yet and that I had not signed her up for an obedience class. Also, I was trying to puppy proof the house.

Dreams are so weird. I guess I just had her on my mind.

• LA Stewart

Thanks for sending me the note you got about Tommie. I can't wait to show it to my husband. Will did NOT get the love of water from his daddy. We took him to a pond with our friend and her water loving dogs. Will's best friend, Chipper, jumped in the water and Will followed him. When he realized where he was, he promptly turned around swam to shore and never went in again!

• WhiteDove

Congrats on your new addition. . .I kept doing that until I ended up with 4 Corgis and 1 Peanut. . . . .LOL

• steve ruggles and Ziggy

Hey Doug, Haven't looked at this site for a long time. Sparkle sure looks a lot like Ziggy . . . beautiful dog. Glad to hear you've been adopted by another Corgi. Did Sparkle buy insurance for you?

Ziggy has been a very good dog. Like you miss your former dogs I still do miss Zoe a lot. She was so devoted to me in a way that Ziggy isn't but so it goes.

Hope you are well. Grommit good?

• steve ruggles and Ziggy

Auntie ziggy. Hilarious she was in the local paper with me recently. She definitely increases the eye balls on the page.
• Rocky Road Gallagher

Thanks for the love, family! Hope to keep in touch here!

• Snickmom

why didn't you tell me you guys were on the Daily Corgi! great video!!

• LA Stewart

Need some new pictures of your pups!

Lisa

• LA Stewart

I am looking forward to some new pictures of your gorgeous Corgis. I am especially interested in how Sparkle has developed.

This summer was difficult. We stayed home more. We did not want to sit out at car shows or go to the dog park in that heat! Today we will take our two Corgis to a car show out of town. The weather is perfect!

Thanks Doug for your compliment on my new profile picture. Thanks so much for letting me "borrow" your precious Gromit and Sparkle for such a lovely doggie portrait. It's so much more fun to hold real corgis instead of stuffed ones!
• LA Stewart

You did it! I ask for pictures and you delivered. That was fast. Thanks, Lisa

• John Wolff

Thanks for the B-Day greeting; I've been 60 for three whole days now. Lessee.... in dog years, I'd be..... dead.

• Scott+Nicola+Brody

Hi I hope to meet you guys at the picnic! We don't know many corgi owners in AZ!

• Scott+Nicola+Brody

It was great meeting you guys and girl in person today!

Hope it wasn't the last time we catch you around!

• Scott+Nicola+Brody

Wow! Scott (my husband) was mentioning the same day as the picnic that there should be a "grand" picnic in the spring time... If we plan one we should use Vicky's contacts to get some people to show! hehe!

Thank you for the lovely photo!

• Rocky Road Gallagher

Thanks for the super cute Holiday Card <3 What are we doing for Sparkle's b-day?

• Rocky Road Gallagher

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPARKLE!! <3

• John Wolff

I love your pictures of your dogs.

• Scott+Nicola+Brody

Hey Hey! What do you think if we make the meet up officially in Ahwatukee? Could you help me advertise it for the Tucson or just southern Arizona in general?

• Scott+Nicola+Brody

How is Cosmo dog park in Gilbert for you?

• Rocky Road Gallagher

Hi there Uncle Doug! Mom found this post "what they say about corgi shedding just isn't true"...

It sounds like Waffles, the corgi in the post, is doing a great job on blowing his coat. I only hope I can become a champion coat blower as well! <3 Thanks again for all the great photos you sent Mom. I really want to meet sister Sparkles and Uncle Gromit, maybe this year we will find a way to come together...

Has Sparkles blown her coat yet? I just made the switch from puppy to adult food in February and Mom wonders if the dog food is aiding in my extreme furring efforts.

Frappy hugs & kisses!

-RRG!
