- In October my fiance and I got our first Cardigan Welsh Corgi. He is a fluffy and his name is Raife. He enriches our live in a way I didn't even know was possible and we are enjoying each day that he progresses from a puppy to an adult =)

- Raife is my first dog and first Corgi. He is 17 weeks old and very smart. =) He picks up commands really quick when he wants to. I am looking forward to doing agility and tracking with him. We also have plans for him to become a therapy dog, he seems to have the right temperament for it.

Yes, to prepare for therapy dog work, get him socialized as much as possible. Also, keep going to training even after you finish basic. Any kind of classes will enhance the bond between you two. You might also start talking to whatever therapy group is on your area (mine is Love on a Leash) and maybe ask if you can tag along one day, without Raife, to see how it works.
