About My Corgi(s):
We had two very spolied cardigan corgis - AJ (Mother) and JR (Son). They had us trained well! We got AJ from a wonderful breeder in Havana Florida and when she had a litter of puppies we kept our JR. We lost both of our beloved babies in 2012.

Our recent addition are Missy and Sammy. Missy is from our original breeder in Havana, Florida and our Sammy is from a great breader around Ocala, Florida.

They really do look related! We got Barnaby from Cindy Bossi and Paula O’Donnell. (A lot of the breeders work together though, so it’s very possible our dogs are cousins. I happened to find a cousin of our dog, Silas, on MyCorgi.com as well.) Barnaby’s Dad is Shadowalk Trademark and his Mom is Baewyn Telltail Porsche. When I look at his “doggie tree,” I see Shadowalk, Chandler-Pluperfect, Phi-Vestavia & Sisterwood in the tree. Any of those sound familiar?
  • Mendy Miller

He had some irritation of the spinal nerves and lost use of his hind legs suddenly. He is on steroids and getting better, although we don't know how much he will recover. He is walking, and even breaks out into a trot from time to time, but gets tired really quickly. He's 14, but he was so strong and healthy before this. A little better every day- I hope he keeps up the momentum.
  • Emily & Willow

We call it the "shut down." When we're doing something to her she doesn't like (especially when we taped her ears), she just lays there and takes it. Such a good girl.

Michelle - Whisper has been smuggled so much on the road that now she expects it. She loves to go to Motel 6 in Stillwater, OK (home of OSU - Go Pokes!). They welcome her with open arms and doggie treats! All Motel 6's are pet friendly and great to work with, they don't have all the amentities that some of the others have but they don't charge for them either!
  • Lance, Tucker & Kristin

From your Corgi friends in the FWB area! Hope next time you are in the area we can get together for a playdate with the dogglings!
  • Cindi

Hey, I agree. The two officers were having such a good time watching all the Corgi's with their people, that I just had to ask if I could take a picture. Then I almost couldn't get Tucker away from them. He wanted to stay with them.
  • Anette Henriksen

    Thank you! :)
  • Rita + Picasso

  • Nancy Lange-Anderson

there's a corgi lover society here in the panhandle? Need more info!!! Corky and I need to get involved!
  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Hi Michelle, yes I agree, many politicians could be replaced by a smart Corgi and we all might be better off.

You've got some good looking Corgis there in AJ & JR. Perhaps one of them should run for Congress!
  • Sara Liz

Thanks! Yours are cuties, too! :)

  • Kit Schanz/Adam

Thank you for your kind words about the loss of our wonderful Adam Corgi.  My wife Sunnee and I miss him so much.  He was a great dog, and there are many stories to tell.  Your Corgis are exceptionally handsome dogs.  Still don't know why The Queen is stuck on just Pembrokes, although I think they're great, too.
  • Anna Morelli

    Thanks for welcoming us, Anna
  • Darcie & George

Why thanks for complimenting George. Yours are awfully cute as well!

It's great that the new Corgi blended in well.  Our little Winston got along with our Westie, our beagle fox hound and our two cats. Basically he loved everyone !  The beagle fox hound and the two cats came into our home after Winston.  I do wonder if we'd included a new Corgi, male or female, how he would have responded.  He was a very docile male.   I'd like to find a Corgi, somewhere between the age of one and five.  I know we could get a new puppy anytime, but there are Corgis out there that need rescuing and although I'm sure it wouldn't be an easy process, it's something we'd truly consider.   Any ideas you have about incorporating a new Corgi would be appreciated.

  • Wilson Waddlepants and Joyce

We've always brought new pets into the home and fortunately it's always worked out perfectly.  However, your advice about having a new pet meet the current household pets on neutral ground is a really great idea.  It makes GOOD sense.  Once the pets have "met" it would be almost like it was the current pet's idea to have the new one come to the house to visit after they'd already met somewhere else.  (I sound a little crazy I know ! )

  • Kelly & Dusty

Thanks for the warm welcome, Michelle! =]

  • Rachel Sheeler

im sorry to hear! Hows your new one doing!?

  • Laura

    Dear Michelle,

Thanks for your email.  I was happy to find the MyCorgi.com at this time.  I think that it will help me through this transition.  I am putting applications in to several rescue groups.  Hopefully I'll find some cardis who need a good home and want to own 2 humans.  My husband and I miss our girls.  But we had a long, long party with them.

Your dogs look like a Tricreek dog named Bear.  He had that pretty brown brindle coat too.

    Sincerely,

    Laura Orange
