She's very mellow and within 2 weeks of owning her we trained her how to sit and lay down and being potty trained. Shes a character and is very attached to my other dog Milo who is a chihuahua mix. Sammie is very lovable and out to please.

Wow, that is tough.  Is she on any pain meds?  Might ask your vet if she can have some at a low dose to take the edge off.  ..You probably should if haven't already start giving her Dasequan to help the other joints on her other legs and to get a jump start so to say on promoting healing in the bad leg once she gets the surgery.

Here's a link to some places that you might want to look into to see if you qualify for financial aid for the surgery. http://www.theamericandogmag.com/non-profit/resources-veterinary-bi...

you'll have to do some research on these as I don't know much about them. I just learned about them myself.

You could also try CorgiPals. They've helped A LOT of corgis.

We have used CareCredit through the years to allow us to make payments without interest (if paid off by a certain time - 3 months, 6 months, 12 month options depending on the vet).  You could try that as an option too.

    don't give up. where there's will, there's a way.

    Hi Elizabeth!

While you are waiting for more donations to help pay for surgery number two (and I did contribute to Sammie's account) why not do some other fundraising activities that might help raise more cash, for example a dog biscuit bake sale, you can advertise to friends and neighbors, and maybe a yard sale?  And what about putting the second surgery on a CC for the time being, and then paying it off when you have gotten enough contributions.  Your vet must have a heart of stone to want it all up front... :-(
