Plain and simple, I'm crazy about corgi's. I have two tri-colors and would love to have more.
I work full time and have a demanding but rewarding job. My son is a law enforcement officer and my daughter is in college majoring in art education. I've been married to my best friend for over 27 years and we love our life together. I am blessed!
I've told my husband I think three corgi's would be good. He rolls his eyes. And to think everyone thought I'd have the "empty nest syndrome." Hehe....I'm having a ball!
Chloe will be two years old on May 24, 2008. Chloe actually belongs to my daughter but with Jillie off to college, Chloe has become my companion. Chloe is a very intelligent dog. She seems to understand exactly what I tell her. I love it when she cocks her head sideways and listens. We have fun watching you tube together, especially if there is another corgi on the screen! She loves to fetch the frisbee and does a lot of what I call "nascar" track racing through the house and outside. It can be quite hilarious to watch! She loves walks and when things aren't going quite as she thinks they should....is good at doing the heavy sigh "humphhh' and going somewhere that I can still see her, heavy sigh, head between paws and rolls her eyes at me. She has the most wonderful personality. Everyone who meets her wants her. She claims my husbands lazy boy recliner whenever he's not in it. Very funny to watch their interaction over the chair ownership. She sleeps with me at night just like a two year old would. As crazy as I am about her, she's still clearly Jillie's dog when she's home. Chloe loves to travel and was the perfect traveler when we traveled over 2,000 miles this last Christmas.
We love Chloe so much we decided to get another corgi. Cooper was born November 19, 2007. My husband and I enjoy time with these two...life is never dull! However, bringing a new little guy into our home has changed the dynamics. Chloe is pretty much a spoiled teen and Cooper is just a rowdy pup. He has endearing qualities which clearly are part of the breed. He's actually good for Chloe as she is beginning to learn to share (attention and toys). Cooper knows his place in the pecking order though and we love him. He is pretty fearless and already loves to go with Bob in the truck. He's much stockier than Chloe and one ear still hasn't stood up. He looks a bit goofy with one ear up and one ear down. Potty training Cooper is a bit challenging since I work long hours but he's doing well.
