I'm 21 years old and go to UCF! I actually just have my 2 cats that live with me, but one day when I'm done with college and actually have time to take care of a dog, I will get a Corgi of my own :) Vicki is my mom and our 2 corgis, Dingo and Mia, live with her in Titusville.
About My Corgi(s):
Dingo is our 2 year old Pembroke. We saw him one day when we were out shopping and just couldn't say no! He's super active and was always the spoiled baby, until Mia came along. We got Mia (Mimi) right before Christmas from a good friend who had studded out his beautiful fluffy corgi. He had actually asked us before she was born if we wanted one of his babies, but we said "oh no, we just can't have another dog." wellllll...... then we saw Mia in person and just had to have her! She's a joy! Dingo loves her and it's really calmed him down. I think he needed another doggy friend, since his only friends were cats.
I know. . .that's why I got another Corgi, but must admit, never had one this young before. . .Sid was given to me when he was 3 and I got Babs when she was 10 mths old. . .Cloe was only 8 weeks when I got her. . .It's so fun to see them play. . .Sid & Babs think they are little puppies too the way they carry on. . . .TOO CUTE!
Thanks for the post. Emmy is quite the little handful, she thinks she's the boss lady. It's strange for us because Sage's personality was totally different when she was Em's age and like you said, we have to remember that they are like children and each one will be different and unique. Your new baby is precious! How is she getting along with your other corgis?
Thank you Christina & Vicki. Your corgis are beautiful. Actually Kona's back looks exactly like Mimis now. She has gotten so much darker on her back. I love your fluffy also. She really stands out.
thanks for the comment... it took us a couple of days to agree on a name for the new little one but once Kirby came up it just seemed to fit. Other names we were thinking about were.... Reesee's, Peanut, Maverick, Tanner and my youngest son wanted to name him Low Rider and call him Rider. I love this site, today is our first day on here, I can't wait to find all my corgi pictures and add them.
your pups are SO cute!! Are you being affected by any of the fires? I dispatch for the Forest service, bureau of land management, and Redwood national parks. here inn California. I hear things are pretty severe there. hope your guys are safe and sound!
Thank you for your comment. Kirby is growing up fast!! We have all been so super busy I feel bad that I have not had the time to upload new pictures lately. Tucker and Kirby have the average brother relationship, they are getting along ok. Kirby still has a little more energy that Tucker cares to deal with at times. Kirby is in puppy school now, 2 weeks in and he is the best in class if I say so. My sister in law thinks its kind of a parent thing where you always think your kid is best in class anyway. I need to get off of here and run the other kids to places they need to be. I will post photos soon!
Actually Kona's mom was a full tri. Kona's dad was red and white with some sable accent. She looks a lot like her dad. Kona weighed in only at 10lbs at six months. she was the smallest of the litter but I didnt know she would be this small. Anyway I guess it makes her cuter. haha. I love you pictures! take care~
thanks for your comments, I am really serious about getting a corgi, but with the job I have this is my busy time of year. It won't slow down now until november. so the soonest i can look at bringing a fur kid home is late winter/ early spring. I am still researching breeders,
Hi, Vicki!
He was constantly wanting to outside. And he would try to pee, but only dripple a tiny bit. So he would move to another spot & try again, and again, and again. We took him to the vet & they did xrays. Then they tried to do surgery. But they determined it was cancer & they told us the chances of stopping it were very slim. And they said the treatment would be extremely hard on him with no promise it would even help. I couldn't put him through that.
