About My Corgi(s):: Bailey was born in Northern California on January 21st, 2008 (an Aquarius - according to doggy astrology, Bailey will be social, a free spirit, quirky, smart, and maybe a rebel!!!). His mommy was a red-headed tri-colored corgi and his daddy Cooper was a red and white corgi. Bailey's fur is much more golden than an ordinary red/white. He gives credit to his parents for that.

Bailey came home on 3/15/08, on a lovely 3 hour drive from Corning, CA. I still remember that day vividly!

Bailey loves meaty treats, the smell of pizza or any other baked carbohydrates (example: french bread!!) , stuffed animals with squeakers, squeaky balls, tug-o-war, wrestling, drinking water, bossing puppies around, peeing on other dogs' poop, doing tricks, going to the dogpark, meeting new people, learning new tricks, exploring, sleeping, and barking too.

Bailey is VERY social and expects every moving thing within a 20 feet radius to say hello to him. If you do not, he will jump on you and insist you pet him. He loves affection from strangers but appears to be embarassed if I display affection to him in public. With dogs, he loves to wrestle, and chase ball-crazy dogs who chase balls. He also loves interuppting picnics at the park, rolling in who-knows-what, and swimming (he's the cutest swimmer too).

We also have relatives on this website. So far:

my boyfriend for all these months have been looking at youtubes of bailey online - he lovesss the bang bang trick, and wants to teach kaijuu! And TODAY i just realize [after watching the recap of 6 months] that you were on mycorgi, and i was your fiend -_- silly me.

once again, bailey is sooo adorable, and you have accumulated a lot of clothes for him =) haha !

Ha! What's Bailey got the cone for? Shelby sometimes runs into stuff and hits the doggie door and little off-center during an exciting game of "Get chased through the house by some weirdo, while not watching where I'm going!" Thanks, by the way, only Shelby's ears are really soft and when you try to hug her, she squirms and makes funny noises!

It's good to hear Bailey's healing well. I'm not quite sure when to fix Shelby. I don't think Shelby would be as quick to recover, but she sure is a trooper! We got her in a town called Belton, which is a little ways up past Austin. Then we had to drive all the way back to San Antonio! It was okay, there were only 3 accidents in the car. Shelby says the only fun thing about people is that they give you lots of food!

Has Bailey forgiven you yet for the cone? I hope he's all recovered now and eager to get back to puppyhood. I can't believe, he even looks handsome wearing the cone. He should really go into modeling!! Maybe you could find an ad agency and promote his "mug" everywhere. Just kidding. But most of the pups that wear the cone have that pathetic look, but not Bailey, "the man"!

Noticed some of your comments regarding weight gain after being neutered. Doesn't happen unless you cut down on his activity level or up his food intake. You've been watching his weight so I really don't think you'll have a problem. Just do the rib test (no pressure, either) and if you can feel then easily, you're doing good.

Great news!! Give a woof and hoot for both of us at the game. That's so neat, that you get to bring the pups. I'll bet that everyone has a good time, except the pups who don't get to run around on the field chasing balls. Have fun!!!

Congrats on Bailey's 7 months! Shelby probably weighs 16 (?) pounds - that was a guess! Shelby will be 5 months old on September 4th. Quick question, does Bailey like the water, like pools, lakes, any of that stuff?

Ha! The first day we had Shelby, she went to go drink out of our little fountain outside. She looked at it a second, and then hopped in! She doesn't like bathes at all! We bought her a little kid's pool. But she only drinks out of it. I put her in it, but she hopped right out.

Thanks for all the good info! I want to go next year for sure - Piedmont is in the Oakland Hills, so I'm sure we'll meet at a Corgi meet up one of these days. I'm not really a baseball fan, per se, but I love going to summer ball games just for the excitement of it all. Plus, it's a great way to socialize your dog, and get them used to lots of different environments. I travel a lot, and I picked a corgi because they seem the best at being able to be carted along where ever I go. In fact, tomorrow I am taking her to Boise for a short trip. First time taking a pet on an airplane, and I am looking forward to the experience (hopefully, she is too!). So far so good. She's an agreeable pup.

Hey, we've been going to Fort Funston like 2-3 times a week like after 5pm or 6pm... mainly when it's not so foggy and not to dark. Let me know if you wanna meet up there... I've seen another Corgi there too sometimes.

YAH, Fridays are tough for me to take Range to Funston. Unfortunately I have dinner plans too tomorrow night! But we're taking Range to Mountain View for that Corgi Meet up! Hope you can try to make it there. I believe it starts at 10am. It'll be our first ever meet up!! I'll be at Funston definitely on Tuesday at 6pm. 7pm isn't really dark, but it gets there, so I usually go a little earlier...

Thanks for replying! I really like Jack Johnson's music, but I didn't know it was him. Corgis are so cute! As you might know, we are going to name our dog Guinness. My dad thought of the name from beer. : p I wasn't real crazy about the name at first, but once we visited the corgis, and we got one picked out, I thought he really looked like a Guinness! I also missed Bailey's half birthday, so "happy birthday" Bailey!

Wow nice colors. The plain brown on top makes him look like a teddy bear! As far as the puppies being planned goes...Yeah it was planned. haha No accidents here. We actually tried 2 heats before but failed. Luckily my dad was around to see that both of the dogs were stuck together or else we would of just assumed Lexi was eating a little too much. Either way, I'm very excited and at the same time nervous since this will be her first litter. I'll be sure to post of the pics when the pups are born. Maybe if I get lucky enough I can catch it on video to post it.

Thanks for the comment. my ex-roomate is having to have two surgeries on her hands and her exhusband is threatening a custody battle so she decided to rent out her house. so she wouldn't have to worry about loosing it as the finances get tightier. I hope bailey learns how fun the water can be with more trips in it. i am sure that all that water can be intimidating! Have a good day!

We were there from about 1:15 til 2ish. It was myself my wife and my sister. For the most part we were sitting across the bark and having mAlibu fetch a stick. Didn't really say hi to anyone. Guess a little shy and our first meet and greet. Malibu is a cardi and she had on a purple collar. Didn't know about ocean beach though. We were by staircase sixteen. Maybe next month we could get together a little better.

Hey Stranger! I have not been on this site it a while... busy summer I guess! Anyway while I was here I had toi check in on my little Bailey boy and see what he is up to these days. I thought by now he'd have his own condo or boat or something, but I see he is into attending baseball games these days with a corgi friend! He is just the cutest.. I always get a kick out of your pics! Well Emmy sends kisses to Bailey, and I hope all is well with you to. Hope you had a good summer... it's almost time for our shows to start back up... I'm not sure if I am ready for the commitment of having to watch them yet though! LOL. :-)

San Francisco! I was born in Santa Rosa and lived in Napa for 12 years and then moved out to Modesto and have been here for the past 12 years. I want to move back to the bay soon. I go out there all the time as it is for family and friends. I am taking Rusty to a Giants game for sure next year now that I have seen Bailey! He won't have a custom embroidered team shirt though..... oh well. He will love it, and he would probably want to chase the balls out into McCovey Cove.

Not yet... Range is not a big fan of clothing. ahhaha!! He liked it when he was younger, but his father, Keith, didn't like him wearing clothes so I stopped. Now when I want him to wear clothes he hates it and does everything to take it off. I was going to buy one for my mom's dog, Honu... HE LOVES CLOTHES!! hahaha!! He even ducks his head and knows how to put in on himself... hahhah!!

Hey Karen and Bailey! How's it going? At the moment, none of them have homes yet except for the one we're going to keep. Haven't advertised them yet other than on here. It's been a rough week losing the other 4 pups. San Franciscan's? lol I moved out here towards Fairfield so I guess they'll instead be BAY AREA Natives. If I can, I'd keep them all and have a whole army of Corgi's. But hopefully soon they'll each have their own families (new owners) too.
