I have a dedicated love for the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. These mighty dogs in their little packages are highly intelligent, sturdy, loyal and quite entertaining. I breed the Corgi for ideal standards and great personalities. All my dogs live in the house w/me and are a part of the family.
All my Low Rider's have Champion pedigree's and go threw testing requirements to promote a healthy sound Corgi. I look for smooth movement, flat toplines, great expression, thick sturdy bone, and most importantly..MIND! My dogs get the utmost of care and love and expect the same from any puppy buyers. All my Low Rider's are fed Eukanuba and Sentinel given monthly. My puppies are raised in the home w/my family and are socialized several times a day. I have an AKC Registered Veterinarian who I have a wonderful relationship w/and handles all of the care on my Low Rider adults and pups. Puppies have their nails trimmed every week w/dewormings starting at 2 wks of age and every other wk. following the initial deworming along w/vaccinations at 6 wks before going to their new homes at 8 wks of age. All puppies are sold on a Limited Registration unless references are provided and I feel your worthy of an Open Registration. Contracts per agreement will be signed before releasing said dog. I will allow my studs to service a very selective few outside females upon my evaluation of said females and a health certificate from a veterinarian. I have acquired a Kennel License for my county which allows the county and city to come unannounced to inspect my kennel, and of course AKC. I have also acquired a Vendor's License which makes me pay taxes on my dogs. As a breeder, I feel it is my duty to educate any new owner and be there for the life of any puppy I produce and place.
Thank you so much, I will try the OUCH method. And to bring her on more walks, but she seems scared out there. I got Lilo just 4 days ago when she just turned 7 weeks. Her previous owner told me she has had all her first set of shots already. When her eyes are wet, does that always means she's been crying or could it be something else? =(
At the back door again. Yesterday I gave Max a greenie. He wimpered everytime he had it. That went on until he hid it. Today he went and got it p and cked it ubrought it up stairs and was fine. Went out came back, picked it up and wimpered until he hid it again. Got any idea whats going on?
I checked out your website. It is great and so are your dogs.
I do have a question about the Universal genetic evaluation you have done on your dogs. Can you tell me a little about it? Does your vet do this?
Deb
I think I have figured this out myself.
I went to VetGen - they had many tests listed. Then I went to Pawsitive and it is much easier.....
Thanks for the information.
Thank you so much for referring me to this site! I love it -- it's been very therapeutic for me since the loss of my Ladygirl. I put a memorial up for her on MySpace (dogluvver) and some videos on YouTube, (corgiluvver) but those sites have so many people with varied interests. This is really what I had been looking for to memorialize her with the respect she so deserves. Thank you again!
Yes, it is so very exciting!! If you read my updated "about me" on my page, you know the end of 2009 was tragic and sad, and this new puppy opens a whole new chapter to life at IvyStone Acres Farm! I posted a pic of her as well, should get her next Friday if the weather in Chicago and Minneapolis holds out. This is such a neat site - I still haven't figured out how to customize my page more - I am NOT computer savvy at all. Your dogs are GORGEOUS!!! How did you determine you wanted Pems instead of Cardis? I am just learning about the two.
Thank you for the compliment on the new pup! I am of course biased and think she is very nice! What kind of horses do you have/show? We have Quarter Horses and Paints, but only for trail riding. Horse showing is SO political and competitive....well I guess any showing is, isn't it? I have heard dog showing is, as well. We have shown a couple of the llamas, that is also becoming more and more political so we stick to letting the 4H kids do it for fun.
That had to be a tough decision, and I struggle with giving time to all that I have, but I just love them so. Two of my horses are rescues, the other two were purchased for pleasure riding. I have two going to training in the spring (3 yr. olds, the trainer should have a BLAST!! LOL). Your litter of puppies are ADORABLE!! Are they all placed?
As a breeder, would you have some helpful suggestions? I acquired Cooper (my 9mnth old pembroke) from a very small breeder at the age of 4mnths old. At that time he had food aggression, cat aggression and toy aggression. I took him to the local kennel club and we passed Beginners Obedience with flying colors, and needless to say, have broken those habits. Now, my question is this: when we acquired this dog he was unaware of car noises and motorcycles sounds and things of that nature. He is still very skiddish when we take him into public places (i.e. Petco/Petsmart) he shakes nervously and pulls hard on the leash trying to get out of the situation. He's a perfect dog at home, perfectly house broken and well mannered. Its' when he's out of his element is when the fear factor kicks in. What can I do to correct the behavior that I havent caused?
Thanks- Krystal & Cooper
Haha, by freaking out I really mean barking, usually playfully and on occasion giving the ugly face. By gesturing I really mean holding an object in ANY menacing manner and sometimes even kissing or hugging other people even. It's wacky, because her little nugget tail is always wagging but she barks barks barks.
thankyou so much for the helpful information, and by the way I love your "family" of corgis. Your dogs are just beautiful! How often do you have a litter?
The kibble dance?! That's one of my all time favorite videos ever! I seriously show it to everyone when they come over to my house! I will have to watch "a man with his baby girl" Even the title sounds sad!
I wonder if the girl who bought the pup from you went to WSU; that's where I go to school now and they have like one of the best vet schools, or so I have heard.
oh, and I forgot to tell you that I wanted to find you on this website because I was looking at your actual website and saw that you call one of your sires with a chewbacca nickname. My Penny Pooch loves to do those noises every morning and it never fails to make me smile.
ha ha. I must be a stalker because I was just reading your blog about Sian when you left me that comment. She is beautiful!
Whenever Penny does those noises we always ask her to "tell us about it" and then she kind of cocks her head from side to side.
Corgis are the best dogs in the whole entire world! My friends probably think I am obsessed or something by how I have pictures of them in my wallet instead of my husband or anyone else. ha ha :)
Have you always had corgis? I had never even seen one until a year ago when I was at PetCo buying a toy for my dad's German Shepherd when I saw one named Ranger. It was the best behaved dog I had ever seen. When I got back to Pullman, we researched breeders in the area and I just happened to have one breeder call me back. Erik and I agreed that we would only look at them, but that didn't mean we were going to get one. Once we saw how cute they were, we left with two! ha ha.
Don't ever be angry with yourself for doing what you know is right. I am sure all your horses now have great homes! You have some amazing dogs - I do love the Pems, even though I decided to get a Cardigan. I haven't had time to go over your entire page, but I love your pics and music! OK, stupid question...how the heck do you get music downloaded to your page? I told you I am a computer dork!! I will have pics of the new pup posted this weekend, we pick her up in Indy on Friday!
Thanks for the help with Giardia... I am now worried if the puppy got it from Lola, and if he did, how long has she had it?? I read an article that said when the stool is tested it doesn't always show up. I am a nervous mother haha. Do you think the vet will give me medication for Lola without testing her stool just incase she is infected? I don't want to wait for test results to come back, so there's no chance of spreading it around again. Thanks for the advice :)
Thank you for your kind welcome! I enjoy reading your knowledgeable posts and looking at your beautiful dogs. Your puppy pics gave me sudden kissing urges! They are precious!
Thanks for the help :) I just got back from the vet and brought a stool sample of Lola's with me. He said he would call me tomorrow with the results and if she is infected or not. He gave me Fenbendazole and Metronidazole for Benji. Again your help was greatly appreciated. Have a nice day!!
My corgi's ears have always been up... I was just wondering because your puppies are adorable, and im actually looking for a black-headed tricolor male... but i prefer perky ears. Do you know of or recommend any breeders in southern California?

Huskies are beautiful dogs; my neighbor had one growing up and it had two different colored eyes.
When I graduate in May I am hoping to get another one and name him Cullen. I live on a farm back home and it's so fun to see the corgis herding!
