About My Corgi(s):
We just rescued our little Ein from the Ramona Animal Shelter in San Jacinto, CA. We're still getting to know her, but she is an adorable, lovable, and sweet tempered little thing. She is brown and white and even though she has a few battle scars from being out for who knows how long, she seems fit and healthy.
I have:

    Welcome! ...and good luck!

    what a sweetheart! My gal wanted a new dog too, and she was going through chemo, so I thought what the hell. We ended up with Frasier, and he is such a funny, cool dog. Good luck.

    Thanks Laura, thanks Dominique. :)

    Thanks Jeff, actually we were just going to look for her lost chihuahua. I'm the one who got sucked in by the "baby fur seal eyes" and had to have her. I think she'll end up being daddy's girl and her other chihuahua will still be mommy's boy. :) Only a day and a half left to go before she becomes available and then we can claim her first thing Friday morning (since they're closed on Christmas). :)

    Thanks again for all of the comments and well wishes. We haven't been able to take her home yet. When we went to the shelter on Friday morning to officially adopt her she had started showing symptoms of kennel cough, so they are isolating her and treating her before she is released for adoption. Hopefully she will be better this week sometime and they will call us as soon as she is ready. The wait is excruciating, but we want her healthy, so we can bear it. Still, it's only a matter of time now. :)
  • Hilary C.

    Yaaaay!!! I'm so happy for you. I knew you'd get her. Congrats!

    I hope you can give her a lovely home... good luck and happy holidays

    What a sweetie. I hope she is recovering from her cough. She looks like maybe corgi X king Cavalier Spaniel maybe??? Sending doggie hugs and kisses. ^-^

    Well, the shelter saga is almost over. We got a call from the them last Thursday saying she was ready for adoption. We went over first thing Friday morning and squeezed the time into an already busy day (we were taking a weekend trip up to the mountains) to take care of the papers and fees and spend a little time with her. She is super friendly and would come to us whenever we called. She is also looking a lot better and her scratches and eyes are looking much better. They scheduled her to be fixed tomorrow and we will be able to pick her up in the evening. I can't wait. :)

    And as an aside, as much as it has been trying to have to wait to bring her home, I have only the best things to say about the shelter. They have been very friendly and professional and put up with our constant calls and visits without ever being impatient. They took great care of her and I salute them for their dedication.
