I have a dedicated love for the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. These mighty dogs in their little packages are highly intelligent, sturdy, loyal and quite entertaining. I breed the Corgi for ideal standards and great personalities. All my dogs live in the house w/me and are a part of the family.
All my Low Rider's have Champion pedigree's and go threw testing requirements to promote a healthy sound Corgi. I look for smooth movement, flat toplines, great expression, thick sturdy bone, and most importantly..MIND! My dogs get the utmost of care and love and expect the same from any puppy buyers. All my Low Rider's are fed Eukanuba and Sentinel given monthly. My puppies are raised in the home w/my family and are socialized several times a day. I have an AKC Registered Veterinarian who I have a wonderful relationship w/and handles all of the care on my Low Rider adults and pups. Puppies have their nails trimmed every week w/dewormings starting at 2 wks of age and every other wk. following the initial deworming along w/vaccinations at 6 wks before going to their new homes at 8 wks of age. All puppies are sold on a Limited Registration unless references are provided and I feel your worthy of an Open Registration. Contracts per agreement will be signed before releasing said dog. I will allow my studs to service a very selective few outside females upon my evaluation of said females and a health certificate from a veterinarian. I have acquired a Kennel License for my county which allows the county and city to come unannounced to inspect my kennel, and of course AKC. I have also acquired a Vendor's License which makes me pay taxes on my dogs. As a breeder, I feel it is my duty to educate any new owner and be there for the life of any puppy I produce and place.
I just posted an update on DM in dogs. My boss got the PNAS paper for me. Thanks for posting that thread, I learned a lot from it.
What most amazed me was how prevalent that risk factor is!
Your corgis are adorable, and I can't wait to see the new puppy photos! I just lost my Tiki to cancer, so maybe someday, in the near future I may be contacting you for a new furry baby. I've been talking with Marion and she told me she is working with you on getting her new furry baby. I am so excited for her. She summed up all my feeling in one sentence in an email today, here what she said. "Of course there is no way you can ever replace Tiki anymore then we can replace Tedi. It is not Tiki you are replacing, you are wanting to love, be loved, take care of, be taken care of as only a corgi can do."
Thanks for the recommendation about the 1 yr old sable in Ohio. I will give it a go at finidng a dog a little closer because I really want the chance to meet the dog and learn about it's personality before I make a decision. I have plans to see a 8 mo old male that was returned to a breeder near me because of family issues. I will see how that goes!! I love your website - your dogs are all so beautiful. I especially love Sian - and of course those puppies!! So cute playing in the snow!
I don't think the 8 mo. old male is going to be the right dog for us- talked to the breeder more and saw pictures. If we don't have any luck around here I may be up for a 7 hour drive! Never been to Ohio before :) Do you have pictures of the 1 yr sable you mentioned?
Hi Wendt Worth Corgi! Thanks for the welcome. I love the pics of your Corgis. I probably spoke a little soon in saying I was a breeder. There is a world of difference between someone who bred her dog once and someone that has had several litters. You have really great looking dogs. I did notice in the picture above with ?you? and the 3 corgis that the tri color had ears that go out to the side instead of up. My Brady was the last pup of 9 that was born and I was not sure he would make it but I supplemented his nursing with the bottle until he was on dry food. Anyway now he is one of the larger pups, but his ears stick out to the side. He can stand them up sometimes but doesn't. It kinda gives him character, as if he needs help. He bonded with my 20 year old and he did not want to tape the ears. Again the question, why does that happen when the ears go out to the side???
thanks for the welcome! what can i say, you're pretty much living my dream...i definetly want to open a corgi farm after i get my medical school completed. then i can treat and raise corgi's! you are awesome. :)
Can I come live with you and all your beautiful wonderful furry friends... :)
You are so fortunate to have so many and enjoy them all..... Wish I could have more and more.
Thanks for the invite. And could care less for the living conditions as long as there are corgis to be around, love and have fun with. My little girl who is going on 9 years old is suffering from arthritis in her back right hind paw. Do you have any suggestions, being you have so much more experience with corgis. It hurts me to see her limping when she wakes up or has been lying down for a while.
Oh and by the way..... Thanks so much for your beautiful web page. This does put a smile on any one's face. :)
Tell me about it! When my parents go on vacation in may I get to watch all 3 dogs!! And my own 2 cats!! I am going to be sooo busy! lol It will be fun though!
Thank you for your reply. yes she is about 8 pounds over weight but we now have her on a diet. the vet did recommend the pills you suggested and we are giving them to her. We do keep on on light "duty" but she likes it that way anyway. Thanks again for your concern. I really appreciate it.
I give her soy beans when ever possible and both my cuties eat broccoli. Since the visit to the vet, we cut out all of the doggie cookies and anything we could think of. My husband and I do go to the park for a walk when ever we can. Trust me I am doing everything and anything to stop her from hurting. Again, thanks for your recommendation and concern. Say hello to your furry family for me. I will keep you informed on her progress....
tks again :)
Hi, Thanks for the welcome. I'm new to this site...but I'm having fun searching around on it.. I love my corgis...and it's cool to find others too. Write back and give me any pointers you have about this site.. thanks, Lynda
Hi, I have been meaning to e-mail you for sometime but busy but I am a breeder too. Pretty much just to chit chat. I think we may have some similar bloodlines, its been a while since I looked. I look at so many I sometimes forget who has what exactly. I am starting to show some this year too. Can be a little crazy sometimes. Talk later.
Right now I have a handler showing my boy Coalbee in AKC. He is older and if I showed him it would take way too long to earn his title, he would be ancient by the time I finished him. However I have some pups that I am pretty much going to any shows I can get to wether it be AKC, UKC and am also doing the Int'l (IABCA) shows. Fortins and Sandy Johnson both use Int'l too sometimes. It's not as well known but the dogs get a written critique from judges that are either AKC or CanadianCK recognized. The pup in my profile pic went Reserve Best In Show Puppy last month at an Int'l show and the judges just loved her. I am taking her to an AKC show in Harrison, Arkansas next month. My boy with the handler is doing good, his only draw back is that he is tri color. I know that shouldnt make a difference but I geuss it does in a political kind of way. The lady handling him is the same handler that handled CH Merits Heartfelt Thanks, the #2 PWC in the country last year. She LIKES him and thinks but he keeps going reserve to red/whites. I am "thinking" about getting my next one from LS but I am not sure yet, I keep changing my mind on who to get one from. I even thought about importing. I do sooooo much web surfing on corgis its crazy.
