About My Corgi(s):
All my Low Rider's have Champion pedigree's and go threw testing requirements to promote a healthy sound Corgi. I look for smooth movement, flat toplines, great expression, thick sturdy bone, and most importantly..MIND! My dogs get the utmost of care and love and expect the same from any puppy buyers. All my Low Rider's are fed Eukanuba and Sentinel given monthly. My puppies are raised in the home w/my family and are socialized several times a day. I have an AKC Registered Veterinarian who I have a wonderful relationship w/and handles all of the care on my Low Rider adults and pups. Puppies have their nails trimmed every week w/dewormings starting at 2 wks of age and every other wk. following the initial deworming along w/vaccinations at 6 wks before going to their new homes at 8 wks of age. All puppies are sold on a Limited Registration unless references are provided and I feel your worthy of an Open Registration. Contracts per agreement will be signed before releasing said dog. I will allow my studs to service a very selective few outside females upon my evaluation of said females and a health certificate from a veterinarian. I have acquired a Kennel License for my county which allows the county and city to come unannounced to inspect my kennel, and of course AKC. I have also acquired a Vendor's License which makes me pay taxes on my dogs. As a breeder, I feel it is my duty to educate any new owner and be there for the life of any puppy I produce and place.

I have:

I don't mean to make it sound like a tri can't finish or anything, but even the handler admits that the reds do tend to do a bit better sometimes. The key word is sometimes. If you look at the all the dogs that qualified for Westminister and Eukanuba, the number of red dogs far exceeds the number of tri's. I have 12 corgis total and I have Pawsitive ID results on all of them (or their Pawsitive ID cleared parents) and am working on OFA's some of them are at the vets office waiting to be sent in as I send them in all together to get the discount.

4 of those 12 are some female pups I kept back last fall to evaluate for potential so I dont actually have 12 breeding dogs. I am about as big as I ever want to be at the moment. 1 is my profile girl and the others are her sisters. Definetly keeping my profile girl, her name is Java. No, I hadnt heard that about Charles Schauferous until just now. I am geussing it somewhere on this site. I just rejoined the site and havnt quite made it all the way thorugh from one end to the other. I joined last year but the computer I had then was too slow to navigate it very well so I just stopped coming. I just rejoined today. No, none of mine come from Ohio, Coalbee is going to to the Ohio Valley PWC Special in Louisville this weekend though so he will be knocking on your door step. I am pretty lucky, I have a job that allows me to stay at home so I basically have all day to play with the dogs. I take care of kids with developmental disabilities in my home, kind of like babysitting but they are usually older kids with special needs and its only 1 at a time. The kids are fuctional enough that they can go places with me like to the pet supply store or vet. Gives me time to really work with them especially since I want to start showing. There is no way I could do it with a 9-5 job away from home.

Yes, I certainly do need to update. If I can get her to sit still long enough to get new pictures, I'll do that. ; )

I tried sending an email but it didnt go through. Maybe send me one at wind.dial@gmail.com and I will reply to it and maybe it will work. It's about Coalbee's life story, took forever to write.

Are those Winston's babies? Adorable! I think Pip was just sticking her tongue out at me because she was in bed and I couldn't go back to mine! She's getting really good about coming back inside with the older dogs. Richie used to drive me nuts - making me wait or chase him to the steps! He was sweet but I'm glad he's gone! haha

Greetings, Thought I would ask you to share what you do when your females are in heat. I know that you keep your pack in your home, as I do. I only have one in tact female ando ne in tact male. It is a dance of constant supervision and separation when they can be suprervised. Fergi wears a diaper garment with pads, but that is more about keeping the house clean and does nothing to prevent a coupling if there are two driven Corgis! Looking to compare notes with someone wh has been there. We are waiting until Brodie is two (Fergie will be almost three) and all the hip certifications are done. Thats for sharing your experience!

Oh my, what cute Corgi's you have! LUCKY! I have never seen an unattractive corgi thank goodness. Thank you for the Welcome!
I wish I can post mine soon. I do have tons of pics all stuck in my cell phone, lol! I need to find that chip and transfer them. I must make time to do that before I have to return to work, lol!
  • Chrissy

Hi! Thanks for the welcome!!! I see that you are a breeder. I have a question. How do you know if your corgi is right for breeding? I love my corgi a lot (he has an awesome temperament), and wouldn't mind seeing little Dukey's running around, but he drags his toes when he walks and runs (causing them to bleed). Is this a trait that would need to be worried about?
  • Boothill

    HI Wendy,
Have you ever had to bottle feed a litter of puppies?

  • Boothill

Thanks for writing back Wendy, I had a litter born on St. Patricks Day. She had 8 puppies and saddly have lost all but 3. Two of these puppies are not doing so well. I have been bottle/syringe feeding them every other hour and trying to get them on Momma the other hour. They are sadly fading. We have a vet appointment Monday, I guess we'll see what they say again.
  • Jerri Dyke

The animation you have on mycorgi.com is adorable! Did you make it? Jerri

Well it is really cute! If pembrooke's only had tails..... :D! They would look just like that! This site is addictive. I have an embroidery business and it will suffer if I keep looking at all these precious corgis! Dang, who knew there were so many!!??

    Hi Wendy,
Thanks so much for writing back. We have 2 puppies left. The vet checked them out today, one puppy is very, very large and 3x bigger than the last. Little "Tuff" is bottle feeding very well and we will continue to feed him, and hopefully he will make it through. (I'm going to put a picture up on my site of him bottle feeding, it really shows is size!
