My husband and I will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary on July 23, 2011! Have 2 human kids and 2 fur kids. I now have the four kids I've always wanted. :)
Name: Lance
Breed: Cardigan Welsh Corgi(Blue Merle)
Birthday: October 30, 2005.
Current Age: 8 1/2
RIP 5-3-14
Was an only dog for 5 years, but not anymore! Learning about sharing, I hear sharing is good. :) I have corgi buddies already so hopefully it wont be too hard to share with my brother.
Lance is a pure breed cardigan corgi, at the moment he may appear like he is not because his ears are floppy. Lance is dealing with auto immune issues and vasculitis of the ears which affects the blood flow in his ears.
Name: Tucker
Breed: Red and White Pembroke. Was rescued from the
shelter March 6, 2011
Birthday: October 12, 2007
Current Age: 6
Tucker is a sweetheart, seems quite comfy here. :) So glad to be out of the shelter. I was so sweet the first time I met my potential owners I gave them lots of corgi kisses, I stole their hearts. <3
Hey Natalie and Lance:)
Sorry this has taken me so long:(
thanks for not giving up on me.
Lance is beautiful! I thought he was a merle and then went to your profile....Is he intact? Who was the breeder?
The reason I ask is that I'm on a waiting list for a cardiagan for late summer...here on the east coast. Always have had prems.....but am anoxiously awaiting this new pup.... Would absolutely love to have a blue merle male, any leads?
I'll try to add a photo of my two fur kids to this site, if I can figure out how:)
Hooper is almost 12, and our female Shade is going to be five this summer..
Wow! Lance is beautiful - love those blue eyes -
Always nice to hear from another cardigan fan -
Brynn is my second Cardigan - The first Cardigan, Cheer, came with the marriage and was the greatest dog ever - They are really the best!
Hello. Yes that was actually her plane. Wendy (the breeder) was following the flight on line and we were texting back and forth. We have a viewing area at the air port and had gotten there early just in case they were landing where we could film it. We have been having an absolute blast with this little piece of heaven. Thanks for the comment.
Winston is okay from the garbage ordeal, I was just scared he ate the whole onion which would've been real bad news :\ But all is okay now! And that stinks about the golf ball, I actually looked on the website earlier and saw that it said "FOR SMALL DOGS ONLY" which I didn't notice before :( But at least Lance gets to enjoy his snowballs in April :)
Hi! I am just curiuos, did you get Lance from a breeder that breeds blue merle colors?? Or did you just get lucky with his color? I am thinking about getting one that color inthe future. THANKS!!!
Hi there. I was just looking through Finnigan's puppy pictures and I came across one you had commented on a while back and felt bad for not answering. It was "Finn and Quinn" and you had asked who Quinn was. In answer to your question, Quinn is Finn's older half brother. The have the same dad but different Moms. It's funny because we chose our breeder and put a deposit on an upcoming litter for a blue boy and had the name Finn picked out and everything, then the breeder contacted me to see if we would be interested in a 10 month old blue boy who was sold as a show dog but returned when one of his ears flopped back down and he was already named Quinn. We decided to wait for the litter to be born so we could raise our pup from a young age but I told my mom about Quinn since she had talked about maybe adopting an older puppy one day and before I knew it she was driving out to get him. :) We didn't mean for the names to rhyme but it's a cute coincidence and they look so similar it's just too funny. :)
Lance is a beautiful dog, but what do they breed the Corgi with to get the blue merle color? I have never seen a Corgi with that coloring, it's awesome!
Sorry, I took Kipper out to the bathroom and I was watching jurassic park while I was online and I forgot I was online and finished to movie then went to bed.
Thank you for the quick off the paw welcome :-) Lance is gorgeous! I agree corgis are so easy to love. I was given one to look after for a Welsh guy when he came to Aus. Was working with daschunds, had lots of other breeds around me as it was a horse area. Rookie was his name and he walked me out to the bus & back every afternoon ( I was 9yrs at the time). He would round up the ducks, play with the horses & he was a well rounded working boy, sable & white cardigan.
Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm looking forward to hearing about Lance and his adventures. Not just beautiful. He's irresistible. His eyes tell a story all their own.
Thank you very much! Our family is glad to be part of the site! It will be a pleasure to get involved with other corgi famiies! Very cute pup! Oh I am so excited for our new one to come home!
Well he has such distinct coloring that I thought it was interesting that there was another one like him, lol. Him and my Levi and their two blue eyes.. Such pretty boys.
Hi, nice to hear from you! As you can see in the picture, Bentley is sort of a pale sable, but I adore all sables. When I first brought him home, his fur was a grayish beige. He looked like a potato, and we called him the Spud Muffin. When he got his big boy fur, it was more red, with the sabling over it. Your boy is DARLING! I love how his colored ears start right out of his white forehead. He also looks very intellegent. Of course, this can be a mixed blessing in Corgis...
Hello! :) Thank you very much for the nice welcome! :) You lance is also too sweet ! :) And I am really happy I found this network over here :)
Greetings from germany,
Ha ha, I'm glad you enjoyed the pics! Both masks are Venetian masquerade masks that my husband and I wore for halloween a couple times. His is the one with the long nose and mine is the black and white one.
It started because Jason thought he'd be funny and put the mask on to see what Finn would do and of course Finn was scared of it and growled and barked. I told him to let Finn smell it so he wouldn't be scared and he held it up to his face for him to sniff and I realized it would look really funny on Finn. The rest is history. It took a lot of treats to keep him still but he didn't hate it and I think it was worth it for the pictures. I think he's scary in the long nose one but the other mask kind of looks like it was meant for him. :) Now you'll have to try to put some masks on Lance. :)
that is so awesome that lance has his face on a visa card! i love it! i saw the post and immediately knew what lance they were talking about! congrats!
