I am a 22 yr. old college student pursuing my B.F.A. in Graphic Design. I was born and raised in Florida, and now living in Tampa!
I've been in love with this breed for a while, and spent many months looking for the perfect companion. Luckily, I have found Kobi and couldn't be happier! He is awesome in every way.
Kobi was born on May 25, 2008, and is absolutely adorable. He loves rolling around on his back, following me around the house, chasing the cat, chewing his rawhide, licking toes, and giving lots of kisses!
Indeed we do! You get to pick up your guy long before I do though :) Congrats! You could name him one of our left-over names.. Baxter, Buster, Brody, Bernie, Teddy? Although the name that popped in my head just from looking at him is Scamp :-D
Hi Krystal - your new baby is adorable! I love the tris too. You are going to have so much fun! It's almost time - I bet you are getting very excited! Good luck and congratulations. May you have many fun years filled with lots of puppy luvins!
Hi Krystal,
What a beautiful tri. How did you pick the name Kobi? My "Cobi" got his name after the soccer player Cobi Jones, my son was really into soccer at the time and we just loved the name. And since they both had short legs it just seemed to fit.
OMG Madog's long lost brother. Yes I got him from Luann. I am going to have to get more recent pictures up here so you can see how close they look to each other.
I couldn't believe that Madog was still available when I contacted her. Some other lady had been emailing her but you snooze you loose. Luckily for me I am a one dog person or I would be getting more of the puppies. I was very impressed on how the description of my online matched him perfectly. Mellow and likes life in the slow lane.
What made you choose Luann as a breeder and made you decide on Kobi?
I had been looking at a number of breeders and had narrowed it down to Luann and a breeder east of Dallas. But there was just something about her description of Madog that was so appealing to me.
I guess it helps that she is a librarian and has a good command of the English language. Madog is exactly what she said he was. He is very mellow and lives life in the slow lane.
And once I contacted her she was great to email and she got me photos. Then her husband practically delivered Madog to my door in Austin (I live in two places right now).
I emailed her to tell her we had found each other and she says the other two babies may have homes. I hope they find us here. :)
Hi Kobi is adorable, I came across the breeders website that you got your little guy from.....looking through the available puppies and saw Vegas, wishing we could get Lance a baby sister, but we cant.....sigh... : ( Your pictures are adorable!
My vet had me ask Luann how much Kobi and Madog's mommy and daddy weighed. In case you didn't know the mom is 24 pounds and the dad is 28-30 pounds when fit. Dad is currently on a diet. She said he is very short and stocky. A chunky-monkey is how she put it. I am good with a little chunky-monkey. :)
I like their dad too. I will be very happy with a short stocky fellow.
I am feeding him IAMs Smart Puppy. My vet told me to leave him on it. So he gets as much as he wants of that which is less that the recommended daily amount and he has been having some treats my friends made him.
The vet has a theory that dogs that get swapped around on food as puppies become picky eaters and develop the intolerances that some do in adulthood. Worked for me.
She is Simply precious especially with the pics of her and your cat! So do they really get along alright then? I have a two year old cat and I am really hoping my new little boy gets along with him when I bring him home.
I also see your a Graphic Designer, which is amazingly awesome ^^ I am looking at getting into design after a while, do you like what you do? Is it everything you hoped and more?
Kobi looks a bit like Gwynnie because of the wide blaze.
I've firgured out that the red/black parts of the tri pattern are nearly constant. It's the white that's hypervariable.
Take lots of photos cause a lot of that black is gonna turn red soon.
You are a very pretty guy and reminds me of me when I waz your age. I seez dat you have your berry own kitty--I do two. Hiz name is Snicker the Nasty Kat (and he is, too) an we has lotsa fun playing. Tell your mom to keep putting up pictures cuz they are very nice!
