I enjoy everything the NW has to offer- food, wine, and the outdoorsy lifestyle.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Eddy is 13. He is a redheaded tri color pem from Dallas, OR. Enjoys swimming, performing new tricks in front of crowds, and being first at everything. Hates birds, squirrels, waiting, and not having a treat.
hi Sunni-what fun this website is! I never knew about it and have just met Cindi andn fTwinkie at a park for a short visit with all 3 or our corgi's-it was fun to see another fluffy! Victoria
Eddy is so cute, he looked a lot like my tri-color Bella when she was a pup. Portland sound awesome, and I guess heartworms aren't such a worry with no mosquitos!
Boomer and Lela are brother and sister..and they can never be seperated..it took a little time for them to accept the new baby lola, they help me with her..Boomer will bark to ge my attention when ever she has an accident on the floor..and Lela will try to correct her rebellious little ways..they are a lot of fun!
Hi! We would like to get Jack a sister. We were going to get one this year, but my husband's shift kept changing, and I didn't think that was a good way to housebreak a new pup.
Our guy needs a friend. He lays around looking soooo bored if we are not actively doing something with him. He gets walks and playtime every day, but he doesn't entertain himself very well and he just lays around looking unhappy if we're not playing with him. He loves other dogs, and I think two would be more fun than one for all of us.
The disks herniate (rupture)---and cause sharp pain and sometimes paralysis. My first Corgi had surgery at Ohio State in 1993--lived to be 15 years old.
Roo had surgery in Dec in Pittsuburgh--now he 's having moire pain. If the disk ruptures he will need more surgery. This time I will have to drive him to NCState-- from Charleston, SC It is a very common disease in Corgis because of their long backs--need to keep their weight down and pray for them.
Thanks for the welcome, I started looking for a corgi in January so I hope to get one some time this year or early next year all the good breaders in my area say they will be breeding in the fall. I decided that i didnt want to go to some one that just breeds and doesnt do all the testing to make sure that their puppies will be free of hip and elbow and other problems.
Their names are Rolo and Radar. Rolo is named that because he was the roly poly one of the litter and Radar has her name because of her ears which you know are BIG. Their vet commented on how their ears look like satellite dishes so I couldn't resist. Its like their ears are picking up radar. What about your pups or pup?
Hi Sunni, sorry it took me so long to write...I don't check my page often enough! I think we used Frontline Plus, which couldn't get rid of a flea problem, but recently seems to prevent fleas just fine. I just got some Advantix--not sure which kind, k-9 I guess? Ha! Frontline's active ingredient is a bit more mild than Advantix's (Fipronil vs. imidacloprid and permethrin), so that's why I use it, though I'm not sure it makes much diff. Niether pesticide is toxic to mammals, but imidicloprid is VERY bad for fish, so don't get the product in waterways (letting your dog swim after the application is dry an absorbed is OK, though). Hope this helps!
Hi Sunni, I am not really sure what color he is going to be. His father is red and white, and his mother is tri-color. He is looking pretty sable at this point but I am kind of hoping he lightens up as he gets older. This is our first Corgi puppy so this breed is all pretty new to me. Cricket will join Willie his 10 year old lab brother. I just hope that all goes well, and he is healthy. It looks like your Corgi is young too, how has the journey been?
Yes, Darcy was about 6 months old in this picture. I'll be adding more pictures as she grows. She's about 8 months now. Brody is a ham too. We are taking them both to Corgi Fun Day Sunday in NJ. There is a Fluffy contest! Eddy looks like a real cutie, handsome!
Thanks for the comment! Yes, Rosie has what breeders call a "Glamour" coat, but surely there's nothing to be jealous about...it only means she has THAT MUCH MORE fur to shed! Eddy's markings are so beautiful!
Hi Sunni, thanx for the welcome...... ;-) Eddy looks beautiful. Reminds me so much of when Roxy was a pup. My forefathers were francophone when they arrived here in the early 1800's but since then were pretty much absorbed by the Dutch-based people already living here. Today my home language is Afrikaans (very similar to the Belgian Flemish language) and of course the business language (in which I spend most of my day) is good ole' English......... ;-)
They are an awesome cross. Had 6 on Mon and already sold 2. I love my purebred corgis and nothing surpasses them. This is just some extra fun. These puppies have the most beautiful perfect markings. Are keepimg me busy as just sold my last of a litter of ASDR mini aussies. This dog business sure is Not for cowards!!
Hey, just read your profile, I was raised in Anchorage! I haven't been back though in 20 years, and still miss it. Would like to invite you as a friend, but my Blackberry doesn't do friends!
