Native of California. Been in Oklahoma off and on for almost 30 years and now it's home. I'm a volunteer rescue transport for dogs scheduled for euthanasia, a part-time activity in my busy life but with very high priority. Corgis are my main focus and passion on the rescues, but no dog is too small, too big, or unimportant for me to transport to a loving, forever home!
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Four sable Pembrokes. Ladygirl is living inside my heart now. Topaz was adopted/rescued October 2007. Topaz and Ladygirl are/were best buddies and partners in crime! Both are sables, loyal, loving, faithful, and trusting through and through! Couldn't ask for better!
Frankie was adopted/rescued February 7, 2009, and Ladybug was adopted/rescued February 21, 2009.
Hey Deanna, it depends how close to the strip you want to be, the trump hotel is pet friendly, depending on your budget, the ritz carlton and the four seasons also take pets.
Thank you for replying please keep me in mind for other corgies in the shawnee , okc area .I have a fenced yard , and lots of love to give. Also my son is looking for a black and white i know the are hard to find. If you hear of any please let me know . Thank you very much Sandra
Thanks for the comments! There is never a dull moment around here. We take the dogs up to the high school football field for their exercise. There are too many loose dogs running around town for us to try and take all 4 of them for a regular walk. So we just go up to the football field and let them run like crazy!
Hi, Your dogs are beautiful! I bet that tornado was scary. I saw that on the news.I got Daisy from a breeder in Oklahima, but I don't remember what city. Her name was Robin. Here in California there are alot of earthquakes. We had a big one this summer.I think it was like a 5.4. I was outside when it happened. Daisy did not seem very scared. I was deffenety more afraid than her. We are supposed to have an even bigger one soon!
Well, Placentia is in Southern California, but it is a rather small city, so you can't see it on the map of America. I just remembered one thing. The breeder, Robin, I think her last name is West. If you would like to check out her corgis, I think it would be a good idea to type in Robin and Corgis. It is kind of hard find though.
That really is crazy. I wish I was in the area I would help. I guess you could do something like Craigslist. I know it is odd but there are pet lovers everywhere. If you put an add in Craigslist asking people for help they might do it. Just make sure the add is for the right region. Other than that I am not sure what else to say. I have freinds in Oklahoma, but not Kansas so it would be the same problem. Sorry.
I really appreciate all you do for our poor Corgis in rescue! We could not believe such a gorgeous dog ended up in a kill shelter. But I know, it happens all the time, and some areas worse than others. We can't really drive from PA to Kansas to get him, of course. And if I walked into a shelter, I'd walk out with as many dogs as I could stuff into my car. :-( So sad.
Thank You so much for the birthday wish so sweet!! How did you know it was my birthday? I hope you find a loving home for the sweet corgi you are rescuing...he deserves the best. Thanks for all you do!
She was very very nice and I couldn't have been luckier to adopt KC! I've been emailing Brenda updates since we met too. :) We took KC to the river yesterday, and I was excited to tell her that KC swam like a fish! It was a really fun day. Good luck with your newest foster, I wish good things for her.
You're not making me cry because I feel sad but because I am happy that Dooley has been saved and i hope if he doesn't stay with you that he will find a wonderful home...he deserves the best!!!!!
Dixie's one floppy ear is what drew my son to her he said it was gangster:) I think it is why she was the last one of her litter to get a home. All the better for me she fits in to our family like she has always been here.
We just noticed this weekend how much bigger Dixie's ears are than most. We were visiting her Daddy who is just shy of 2 years and about the same body size as Dixie but her ears are much bigger than his. When my dad calls her and she does not listen he tells her "I know you can hear me with those satellite dishes". We sure think she is great.
Hi Deanna, I don't know how you knew Sept. 1 was my birthday, but it was very thoughtful for you to send me good wishes, thank you!
Is your tri a wooley? He's sure adorable. One of your other Corgis looks like my former, Daphne. When she died, the daphne bush I'd planted while she was alive died. So you see.....?
