I enjoy everything the NW has to offer- food, wine, and the outdoorsy lifestyle.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Eddy is 13. He is a redheaded tri color pem from Dallas, OR. Enjoys swimming, performing new tricks in front of crowds, and being first at everything. Hates birds, squirrels, waiting, and not having a treat.
Our Corgi is " Buddy"
He was adopted 5 years ago from an elderly couple who went into an Alzheimers home. He has been the best dog, and works well with our famnily of 4 kids, but has become a little obsessive about being around me the last 2 years, kind of like my 4 legges staulker hound. But he is great. I will see if I can figure out how to put a picture of him on here, he is a beautifully marked Corgi.
Hi Sunni, Thank you for welcoming Nari.
I love your pictures of Eddy. Looks like Nari is exactly 3 month earlier of Eddy..! I will post more pictures soon- plz take a look :-)
I taught dog obedience for about four years before moving to WA with my husband and I did have some corgis in my classes. I also have known people who owned them but for me, this is my first corgi.
HI SUNNI AND EDDY!!!! I HAVE A PUPPY NAMED EDWARD WHO IS 5MOS ON THE 1ST OF OCTOBER. WE CALL HIM EDDIE A LOT THOUGH, SO I THOUGHT I WOULD COMPLEMENT YOU ON YOUR NAME CHOICE!!!!!
I read in your blog that Eddy likes to chew. Princess is 7 months old and chewede two holes in the carpet under the4 table. I put an area rug over it and she started on that one. Maybe someone can tell me wht to do.
Hi and thanks so much for the welcome. This is a neat site. I have lots to learn and can't wait to take the time to get to know a bunch of you. Corgi's are just fantastic!
Hi, I need help for the new Corgi owner. The pup is 9 weeks old and both ears are down. They have been up, one at a time, and now they have flopped. Her breeder says to tape them. Can you help with ideas or advice?
Sadie seems to be adjusting wonderfully. I am already thinking about testing for the Canine Good Citizen and then maybe even therapy dog work. She loves people and isn't bothered by new people, chilldren or unexpected noises. I do need to continue to work on her SIT STAY and Down. She absolutely refuses to lay down on command. I've already tried some of the tricks that people use and so far it's not working but we will keep working on it.
Finn got going after he turned one. He did about 5-6 sessions between 9-12 months... but we took a break for a while (family tragedy)... so got pretty serious with it around 14-15 months. He loves it and every session does better and better. He is so happy herding sheep! Your Eddy is adorable!!! We are trying to find a nice red headed tri female to pair up with Finn sometime in the coming year.
I was just having another look at Eddy's photos. He is SO cute. Luther was 9 months old when I got him so I missed all the cute puppy stage. Of course I also missed the toilet training and most of the naughty chewing....
It has been hard to find a good match, but I fly down south several times a year, so it shouldn't be that bad to bring a pup back. I got Finn in Oklahoma last year and he did wonderfully on the plane flights. The hard thing is finding a good AKC dog.... the best ones I have looked at have all ended up being UKC... so can't be registered with the AKC, which doesn't help us any.
Sunni, I finally got her to lay down by poking her shoulder lightly. Who knew? We have also found that she is so food motivated that it is easier to train her without food. When she knows you have food in your hand, she is so centered on it, she doesn't hear anything you say. I took the food away and she laid down on command after just a few tries.
Thank you...and Eddy's personality in those pictures seems to be a lot like Murphy's...he does a lot of the same things. So cute...we want our next one to be a tricolor!
