Carlee

Female

Jonesborough, Tennessee

United States

Profile Information:

Hometown:
Moorpark, California. Now in Jonesborough, Tennessee.
About Me:
I'm a girl located in the deep(okay, deep for me) south of Tennessee. Originally a city girl from California, I moved for the beauty of the trees and plant life here in TN. The names Carlee! I'm still getting used to not being very close to a mall, but hey it's worth it :)
About My Corgi(s):
I have a beautiful Cardigan Welsh Corgi, named Regis. His birthday is 3/27/07, so you can do the math of how old he is since I can't update this every month(okay, I can, I'll just forget). Regis is a beautiful brindle pointed blue merle. He is mis-marked, otherwise I think he would have kicked butt in the ring. But that's just my opinion. Anyway, I have some pictures uploaded of him now :)

aww, Regis is so young, I miss that ! Lance is 2 and will be 3 at the end of October! Yes snap a picture of his ears, I bet they are cool looking! Although Lance is still alot of fun and young himself!
  • Kitty's Corner

Hi Carlee~ Regis is really beautiful! Love those eyes!
  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

Lance was 14 weeks when we got him, I do miss the cuteness of puppyhood. I have a few pictures of him as a puppy on my slideshow, but I should try to dig up some more and put them on. I have so many pictures, hard copies and on disk, I just have to remember what I did with them! This website wasnt up and running when Lance was born! I have to agree Lance was a cute puppy but he did go through an awkward stage lol And now we look at him and cant stop saying how cute he is! My all time favorite puppy photo is when they cross their back legs and are laying down, I have one of Lance doing that. I need to dig it up and post it!
  • Arlette

welcome to the cardi group - your doggie is adorable!!
  • Sam Tsang

    Welcome Carlee and Regis!
  • Anne

great to see another cardigan. Love the blue merles. When we were looking we would have loved to get one and we had talked about getting a 2nd but for now we are a one corgi family since it is easier to travel with one and she needs lots of TLC. Look forward to more pictures.
  • Gizmo

Hello Carlee- Regis is a handsome guy, I like his wink ;)
  • Furpants McGee

Oh its been quite the long journey to find one, but I do love the cardi so much more than the pembroke. I only have to wait 6 more days!!
  • Kristen

Welcome Carlie and Regis. He is handsome. I can understand why you moved to TN. It is beautiful. The breeder for our last little Corgi also has Newfies. You can see Newfie Sam in one of the pictures of Brodie from the day we picked our little guy. Good luck with your grooming career.
  • Banjo and Starbuck

What a beautiful cardigan! His eyes show real spark. You're lucky to have him.
  • Furpants McGee

the breeder I found is up in eureka, ca. www.aldergate.com I've been waiting since the litter was born, actually, so I'm hoping these next few days go by quickly. I agree about the cardis...pembrokes are SO popular here in orange county, I didn't want to be so mainstream, plus the cardis are more laid-back, which suits our lifestyle. :) your cardi looks almost like my puppy's mom :) who was bred with a tri male. do you have any other pets? we have 3 cats so it should definately make for some fun stories when we bring our pup home!
  • Christine Glossman

Regis is very handsome, he must love the country life. Pumpkin has moved to Cannes, France now and I think she's happy to be free of the tics and fleas of Key West. Here she's really a princess, the French love their dogs and she can go almost everywhere with us. She likes the Bistros or anywhere there is cheese. Excuse me, food in general ^..^
  • Fozzie Bear

    Carleee! And Regissss!

I uploaded like 8374632947 Fozzie pictures! Are you happy now? I need at least that many Regis pictures. I can't get enough of his shining face. : )
  • Casey

Oh Carlee - what a beautiful boy you have!!! There's nothing prettier than blue merle - Tell Regis that Bailey says hi and he wishes he had two blue eyes like Regis instead of just one! :)
  • Fozzie Bear

Oh yay! Preferably more of him dressed up, lawls. ; D

When are you visiting Cali? I would drive anywhere to meet Reg. And you, of course.
  • Furpants McGee

I think she does have blue eyes...I haven't been able to tell from the 3 photos I have, though. The only reason I'm willing to go so far for her is this breeder is SOOO nice, and has been so patient with me and keeping me informed...Plus, I honestly couldn't find one that was much closer!! LOL!! I'd love to see cardi's become more popular, that's for sure! I think they're such an all-around good dog as far as being intelligent, great for small or big spaces, good with other pets, great with kids (which I hope to have sometime in the near future) :) Now, it's thinking of a name...her current name is Petunia, but we want to change it. Currently, our household is composed of myself and my husband, and 3 cats: Toby, Kit Kat, and Ziggy.

Carlee, Nebraska does have some very beautiful places, but not nearly the trees and lush greenery of TN. It will snow there, but it doesn't last very long. Here it can snow and, like this winter, it can stick around for a while. It gets much colder here than in TN. Another good feature of TN. Thank you for the compliments on my Corgis. Can't imagine life without them, Some day I hope to add a Cardi to our mix, but we are at our limit right now!
  • Heather

Hi Carlee and Regis! Mac's breeder is Robin Honeycutt (Faeriesteed kennel). She is the BEST. Where is Regis from?
  • Sam & Shelby

Hey Carlee! Pictures are now up!!!!!! I like the new pictures of Regis, too.
  • Banjo and Starbuck

Banjo's 19 lbs, the average female pem is about 24. She was much smaller than the rest of her litter, but I like it, i suits her. I'm short and skinny too, so maybe I'm just biased :)
  • Sam & Shelby

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I love my little girl to the point that I'll pick her up and give her hugs and kisses.
  • Cheri

Thanks for your sweet comments on my handsome boy. We're kind of partial to him. We think he's pretty handsome too. ;) Regis is no slouch. He's a handsome man too. He looks like he's a very happy boy.

A lot of Dudley's clothes I get at Target believe it or not. He wears a large. He's a big boy and getting bigger. I'm afraid that large isn't going to fit him much longer...
  • Sam & Shelby

Don't worry, there will be a steady stream of pictures. Shelby won't get to 25 lbs, 22 at the most. Both parents were small. I've been wondering what Cardis are like. The merle blue is so beautiful, like on Regis. The up side of a Pem is that you don't have that monster tail whacking you in the face!
  • Cheri

my boy used to be 35 pounds but I just weighed him on Sunday and he's lost a bit. He's down to 33. I think he's in another growth spurt right now so that might be why his weight is down. He seems to have gotten a bit taller and increased his activity level for the summer so I figure that's why his weight has dropped a bit.
  • Sam & Shelby

I love the merle blue. Someday, I also want a retired Greyhound racer, a Giant Schnauzer, or another Corgi ( Cardi, Pem, or both!) I love big dogs, but Corgis are much more space efficient. I had a Newfoundland, once. I miss her... :-(
  • Sam & Shelby

AMEN!!! You're getting a Newfie?! I like the Landseer Newfies best. I love Greyhounds, Newfies, Great Danes, Tibetan Mastiffs, American White Shepards, Belgian Shepards, and any other type of giant. :-)
  • Casey

Oh Carlee... Bailey's ears drive me nuts, I tried taping them up when he was little (thanks to everybody here - still didn't work) they just refuse - he looks like a wingnut with them hanging the way they do, but awful cute. And spoiled rotten on top of that. But you know what - that's what corgis are FOR! :)
  • Casey

    Oops, forgot, he's 10 months on the 19th! :)
  • Sam & Shelby

That's all totally awesome! Congrats again on your Newfie! What are you going to name it? I think it's great that you want to adopt a Shepard. And it's alright that you want all those breeds (I want lots of dogs,too.). Someday I want to move up North, maybe back to Oregon, maybe Seatle, WA. But, I want a lot of yard for a retired Greyhound racer. I definitely want to rescue a dog someday, though.
  • Michelle

What a handsome fellow you have. Love those eyes.
  • Anne

great photos! I love the blue merle cardis. Can't wait to see pictures of your newfie and cardi together. Our girl did very well in confirmation showing until her left leg went too far south. Her problem is our fortune since that is why her breeder didn't keep her. We get lots of compliments on her when we are out walking. Most people know she is a corgi and then exclaim over her tail. We stayed in outside Johnson City recently on our way to GA. I see that is near where you are in TN. Pretty area. Might stop there again since nice quiet hotel that takes dogs and about a day drive from PA. when we head south.
  • Anne

Not sure when we will be back thru but we have some jobs coming up in GA again so we will be traveling thru sometime in next couple of months. Did not get to see too much of Johnson City though we have eaten a at great BBQ place. We used to stay in Bristol at the LaQunita and have antique-d in Bristol, TN. We try to travel back roads as much as our schedule allows and we may have gone thru your area. Will let you know when we come thru. le-Le likes to play with other corgis.
  • CaptainCorgi

What a beautiful blue merle cardi! <3
  • CaptainCorgi

Thank you so much for the compliment! Much appreciated. :-)

Ah, the Zoi! Borzoi are awesome dogs. He's not actually mine, he's my twin's. Here's her link - http://www.mycorgi.com/profile/AristocraticBorzoi

He's a super goofy lover boy! He's only 6 months old right now and almost the size of a great dane, lol!
  • Katie

My dogs need to be friends with Regis! He is so cute- especially in his preppy outfit!
  • CaptainCorgi

Awww :( They are really great dogs. Easy to train and very mellow and affectionate. <3

Eowyn is pronounced "A-O-WIN". It's the name of the Princess from Lord of the Rings. :-)
  • Katie

Hey Carlee- I am sure Regis's cute outfit doesn't fit because he's just all grown up! Last night I tried on Molly's reversible satin/fur vest on her. It fit her like a too tight haltertop- she's become a little bit of a wideload! OOPS! Time for the Corgi Beach Diet!
  • Katie

Hey Carlee- I am sorry to hear about your little found kitten. I hope she is okay soon- do they know what is wrong? I have two cats- my constant companion tortie cat. I've had her since the year I graduated from college- she's so patient with all the animals I've brought into her life. And Lucy(fer)- the 'mild mannered' fraidy cat that I brought in from the barn because she had hurt her leg and I thought would turn into coyote bait. A few years indoors have turned her into the ultimate boss-cat! She loves giving corgis a smackdown but Tigger snapped back and she's had her tail in a twist ever since!
  • Phog's Mama

Thanks a lot for the compliment. Phog is definately a looker. I just hope my human children will be as cute. Ha, Ha! Regis is handsome and he looks like he is a character.

I bought Phog almost 7 year ago from a breeder in DeSoto, Kansas. Their breeding kennel is called Camelot Corgis.
  • Katie

Hey Carlee? Have they found out what is wrong with kitty? Poor thing! I know how you feel, it hurts me to see my animals suffer. Tigger, my rescue started his HW treatment on Friday. He felt bad all weekend, he hasn't talked to me since Saturday morning. I've asked the vet to give me some pain meds for him. I really wish he previous owners could see how much he is suffering because of their sheer laziness.
  • Fozzie Bear

Regis and Fozz would be so cute together! I think I would spontaneously combust, at the sight of them. :3

You have to warn me in advance! I would drive anywheeeree. I'm going to make Regis cupcakes.
  • Phog's Mama

I really liked the breeder. She was wonderful to deal with. Her name is Teddy McDowell. I haven't talked to her in probably 5 years so I am hoping that she is still breeding and showing dogs.

How did you decide on a Newf? My Dad just got a Great Pyreneese about one year ago. They are great dogs.
  • Phog's Mama

Thanks again for the compliment. The breeder used to have a website. I think it was www.camelotcorgis.com. You could always try that if you are interested.

My Dad really likes his Pyre. My Dad lives on a farm in the country so she is an outside dog and follows him everywhere. The only thing is she has a tendency to wander. He gets worried about her so he built a little gated area off of the house and puts her in there when he is gone.
  • Mariana

Regis is so beautiful. I love his white face.
  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

    How is Regis doing?
  • Boots and Superstar!

Hey! i know where Telford is....you are not alone!:)Greg and Superstar!
  • Alice

Regis has such a great expression. I love the blue eyes. We just got our blue boy and he has one blue eye which is just what we wanted. We lucked out. That's quite a list of tricks. Finn is 11 weeks old and he already knows come, sit, down, shake, wait and roll over. They are such smart dogs. The only thing he is having a hard time with is walking on a leash. Any pointers on leash training?
  • Boomer & Elisa & Chris

OMG, the pic with the little sweater shirt is ADORABLE!!!! Regis is quite handsome!
  • Lance M

Hi. I live in Burnsville NC. Wich is about 45 minteus from Jonesburough. Wow a close Corgi owner!!!
  • Carolyn, Silas & Barnaby

Regis is such a handsome and happy guy! I love the running picture! (well, really, I loved all of his photos :D)
Our blue tends to prance and skip vs. run LOL
