About Me:: We (Jenny "mommy" and Robin "daddy") are first time dog owners trying to navigate our ways through the ups and downs of dog ownership. So far, I think we're doing pretty good.

About My Corgi(s):: Our first pup was born on 9/14/08. His name is Stanley and we brought him home in early November '08.

Stanley is part of the growing family on mycorgi.com consisting of pups that came from Celestial Star Kennel. His parents are Brittney and Kobe. Check it out:

Stanley's extremely outgoing, playful and brave. He's not scared of anything except for those evil stairs to our 2nd floor apartment. He loves chewing on his bully stick and occasionally daddy's shoes. His favorite activities include going to obedience classes and sleeping on the tile floor and playing fetch. He passed his Canine Good Citizen this summer.

Stanley takes most after Daddy in that they both share an extreme fear of heights, have sensitive allergies and embarrassing gassiness, and they both leave their toys all over the place.

He gets his cuteness from Mommy.

His favorite hobbies include eating, sleeping, frapping, running through tall grass, digging, chewing everything, and sniffing under cars. He loves playing in the water, though he prefers to bounce through the water instead of swimming.

We added Charlotte (aka "Charlie") to our family in Nov '10. She was born on Sept 5, 2010. She's a black faced tri-color. We got Charlie from the "Corgi Lady" in Lecanto, FL. Her parents were Cher & Tucker http://www.thecorgilady.com/adults.html
So far, Charlie is proving to be the complete opposite of Stanley. She's very laid back and is so easy going. She's also not a big eater and she's been a breeze to potty train.

Stanley and Charlie love to wrestle and run circle around the living room. Charlie likes to use her small size to her advantage. She'll run up behind Stanley for a sneak attack and then quickly hides under the couch where he can't get to her. She's very clever.

Celeste said I can go to the Corgi Picnic even though he will only be 9 weeks. Just gotta keep him on my blanket.

Thanks guys. Chloe is the worst car rider, ever, so it made it 100 times more frustrating. Seth had to work, so it was just me and her. She likes to try and jump into the driver seat with me. So, it made it really difficult to concentrate to see where I was going. We need to look into those seatbelt harnesses. And next time, dad's gotta come with and hold her.

Jet had such a great time this weekend. Running around all day certainly tired him out and it was nice to have dogs around that were closer to his size. He is used to playing with large dogs since most of our friends have larger dogs.

We can't wait for the next meet-up and the picnic!

Hi, no, we are not out sight seeing. But thanks for asking. I had a little accident and had to have knee surgery on the 21st of last month and have just been being a big baby. At least that is what Tammey says. Any way, I am starting to get out and about alittle now and should be back on the road in a week or two. Bear and I went out this morning and tried to do a Where's Bear shoot. I was not very happy with the shots but I may be able to clean one or two of them up enough to make them work. I am going to try. Oddly enough, I can't set for very long. My leg goes numb after just a short time and my knee starts to throb and I have to get up and move around. Any way thanks again for asking and watch for the next "Where's Bear" probably post it tonight. Give Stanley a good ol pat on the head for us. By

It was very exciting! It was so funny to watch everyone get handed their puppies...there were "aww's" for the first 5 min! :)

We got to the snow day early and left when they told us since we did not belong to the facility we had to put Dixie on a leash. Dixie had a great time and I am now thinking about planning a snow vacation. However I was very disapointed since we had no idea until we got there she would have to be on leash, very disapointing! Don't think I will be back there, we did not feel very welcome.
Looks like Stanley had a good time both in the snow and the water, I think he is part duck! Have a great week!

Stanley is adorable! My little Emma was a Banana for Halloween this year! I saw it at target and saw there was a little corgi on it and about had a fit! :) Love the water photos. Can't wait til Emma likes water!

The have a new tag system at PetSmart, I love them. Its called tag works. It lets you write on both sides. It is a little nosier though. But thankfully Odin doesn't have his rabies tag yet so I am not sure if it will be too annoying. LOL I may have to buy one of those things where is makes it quiet

Thank you for the welcome! We're actually hoping to head over to the East Orlando Corgi meetup later this month. I think it'll do both the dogs and us some good to get out and meet up with other Corgis and Corgi people. Plus, I think Ein might need a break from our mini-Schnauzer. :)
