Vienna received her GED from petsmart university and served as Secretary of Defence in our Corgidom. Vienna was diagnosed with stage 5 Lymphoma in August 2012, she joined Mocha at the bridge just before the last day of the Mayan calendar - Dec 20th, 2012.
We continue to foster, rehab and place rescue corgis in need.
I think that you should make a MyCorgi app for the iphone && itouch. That would be really cool, you know, to be able to check on this website on-the-go.
Thanx, I know email was tiring for him. Also, thanx for this site, I have learned so much from all of you, and maybe even offered a little advice from all my years of being owned by a corgi!.
Hey sam, would you happen to know any breeders with puppies in ontario. Also would you recommend buying an adult. I know a woman near me who has a 11 month old corgi, but i wanted a puppy originally.
Thanks, but i have been looking into the adult dog the breeder has. The great thing is she lives right by me, 30 mins so i can drive over and visit her. The breeder is whitehaven corgis.
I dont want to rush, but i would like to get it by the end of summer because i can spend more time with her. The breeder is well known and right by me so i can visit her. She also has an upcoming litter in October i believe.
hey sam. i may have been a bit hasty in recommending nasty habits! haha. if you can recommend another product, i'd be eager to purchase it! at least the giardia seems to be gone, so it's no longer a health issue!
Jack is always grossed out by my BFF from HS and I telling poo stories. Good thing Jack doesn't read this site. I'd never hear the end of end about writing 2 paragraphs just to say that Nasty Habits by Nutri-Vet is a great product. So, I think I'll delete my post from yesterday, and leave it at this. ; )
Nasty Habits was a product that I thought was a miracle. My little rehomed Rafa, that was half-starved by his previous owner, would eat his poo. I thought Nasty Habit, a tablet given twice daily solved the problem completely. It certainly has helped but not completely. I wondered if you were aware of a product that cured this.
yep same litter, i bought lowlow first with intention of only having one, but the breeder gave me torque for free a week later. torque has a tear duct that doesn't work & the breeder wanted to give her to someone who would take care of her the right way for the rest of her life, she liked us sooo much that she gave her to me
Sam, I was looking for information about the pet insurance thing that MyCorgi teamed up with the ASPCA and Hartville. I couldn't find it. If you could get a link to me or tell me where to look, I would really appreciate it. You are AWESOME. Hugs.
Hey Sam, thanks for starting MyCorgi and volunteering your time to make this website so wonderful! This community has really helped me prepare for being a dog owner, and is a great support if I need help or have a question or even just need to look at pictures of dogs in banana suits, haha. Here's to 3 more years! :D
Just received these fabulous feel good video with lots of corgis and other breeds. Have a look. I think it will give you a big smile: www.dogwork.com/feeling
PS I don't really know how to work this, but if you want to post it, I think it would make a lot of people happy.
Tks. Finally decided to join n took me a while to find the location. Ha. How foes one join the groups associated with yr site eg blue corgis? I think my Asher might be one. Tks
Just wanted to say "hi" and thanks for creating and maintaining this wonderful Corgi-lovers obsession outlet. :) Not sure what I'd do with all my pent up Corgi mama excitement without it. Wonderful website!
Hi Sam,
A marketing idea. In the past, we had a "365 corgis a year calendar". It might be fun to have a MyCorgi calendar with, say, a dozen photos on each month, more inclusive, we could see more familiar faces on the calendar, and everybody who has a photo in the calendar is gonna buy at least a few of them.
Here's my big idea: how about a month, or a sub-panel on every month, dedicated to photos of dogs placed in homes by the groups MyCorgi has supported? Taken by their new families? How cool would that be?
J
Sam, "365 Corgis a Year" was a spiral-bound pocketbook calendar, included much stuff besides photos too I think, we kept it 'cause it had Siri's pic in it.
Hey Sam ! thanks for worrying but thank god she is ALOT better. She's healthier, more active, not being the dead beat she was when she was sick but she's all better thanks again !
Thank you for the warm welcome and compliments on my flickr! :D I love your photos and adore the corgis! They seem so well behaved. :D I hope Cricket turns out well behaved. We work hard. lol
So Sam I have a suggestion. I think on the blogs on the main page it might be better if the responses were put on with the latest ones showing up when you first look at it. Otherwise you see all the old ones always, they never change and you have to go thru a long way to see what the latest comments were? Just a thought:)
Hey Sam
I replied via email but after I sent it I noticed it was a do not reply to this email, woops, anyway the groups are set up that way, for example, Corgis Caught in Crime (one of my personal favs) the latest comment is what shows first, but the blogs like "The Poo trap" shows how long ago the last comment was made, but if you click on it, it shows the first comment made which can sometimes be last year, so you have to go back many pages to see the newest comment. I just made a comment on the poo trap check it out! Thanks for the response
Hi Sam, I just recently started getting emails re. new members. I was surprised at how many new members you get daily. I've now elected myself a greeter for each new member, when I have time, and they all seem so nice and so in love with their corgi and the breed. I didn't realize that you were born and educated in Hong Kong. Jack's sister lived there for many years and we loved to visit. Fabulous. Our last visit was about a year after Hong Kong reverted to China. Since Lucy and Rafa, traveling isn't something high on our list unless we can drive and take them with us. We're going to NY for Thansgiving and I'm concerned about leaving Rafa (rehomed through notice on mycorgi). He has finally bonded with us and cries when Jack or I leave the room. Fortunately we have someone staying at the house who's like a dog whisperer. So they should be in good hands. But still I worry. Wishing you and your family a happy Thanksgiving. PS Corgi siting: A friend told me a corgi is featured in a Celebrex commercial.
It has an elastic string it only stays put for so long then he takes it off, he can only stand to be a cowboy for so long, but it makes me laugh everytime I see the picture of him with it, i even had it put on a coffee mug! :)
