Duluth, MN. Seattle since 1976.
About Me:
I'm an over-the-hill mountain climber. I take the dogs on long hard hikes and backpacking trips in Washington's Cascade mountains (West Pembrokeshire), including peaks above 8000', but mostly we maraud about the neighborhood, striking terror into the hearts of evildoers, amusing children, and playing soccer. Mostly, they're couch potatoes.
We lost Sirius, our first corgi, after 7 years, a choking accident.
Check out our song! See below.
Trying to be the person my dogs think I am.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Gwynnie is the best dog in the world. Al is even better.
Al is Gwynnie's nephew, from Haley pwc of Bellevue WA (Carrie Hale). Wonderful temperaments, quiet, playful, strong, great with kids, no health problems so far. Their poop don't even stink (YMMV), although Al is, technically, an SOB.

Al would be a good obedience dog; he's always watching you to see if he's doing OK. Independent-minded Gwynnie would flunk (our fault, not hers). Al is an unabashed love-sponge extrovert who'll fall asleep in your arms.
They greet me at the door like I'm some kind of god. It's bad for my ego problem.

Vacuuming is a contact sport, akin to hockey but more violent. They LOVE herding their soccer ball on the paved playfield. Al kicks it hard with the tip of his snout (OUCH?), has poked the ball airborne 8 times in a row, and can aim it unerringly back to me. Their ball-control is done by the committee method, so they seldom score. They never tire of this. Al is an incorrigible ball-hog: I feed Gwynnie softball passes, but Al gets them anyway. This is a great way to exercise a corgi.
A soccer ball turns Al into an ANIMAL.

Pneumatic Sphere Consultants' Technical Report:
Best: 7-8" dia. Nike Jr. child's basketball, toothproof.
Excellent: soccer ball, fastest, carry farthest, durable. Padded balls invite teeth, but is soon removed.
Very good: a volleyball (light, lively, toothproof).
Good alternate: a water polo ball.
Yard sales or secondhand stores, $1-2.

When children fawn excessively over them ("Ew! They're so KEWT! Are they FRIENDLY? Can I PET them?") I introduce them as "Killer" and "Fang".

Hiking:
You can't outwalk a fit corgi*. The Pembroke Welsh marmots can hike all day, 20+ miles with much elevation gain, and the only terrain they can't handle is coarse boulder fields and deep snow. The only time I have to wait for them is above timberline in hot sun; when they start seeking shade, I feed them scraped snow or make a pupsicle out of them (see photos, and the Chillybuddy cooling vest). They're amazingly sure-footed and can handle steep, rugged and brushy terrain; I no longer worry about them falling on rock. I do worry about dog-induced rockfall. They don't bother wildlife, and are so quiet they scare me -- hiking in my blind spot, I often look about and call for my missing dog in growing panic, only to find it at my heels. We've spent nights as high as 9,000' in good weather.
I learned how to sleep with Al entirely inside my wet mummy bag. 1 corgi counts for 3 on a Three-Dog Night, like an electric blanket.
I carry a chest harness and stout leash for safety belay mostly on scary river log crossings; be careful [see my post], a corgi can slip neatly out of a chest harness in a vertical hang!
I've tried to post some useful hiking tips. Their coats resist weather, dirt, and insects.

Peace is a corgi snoring softly in your ear at night. Uh, SOFTLY, Gwynnie, softly...

*UPDATE 9/12/12 Al lamed-up on day 6 of a backpacking trip, so I carried him out in an improvised sling. Cause unknown, likely a knee problem, but don't know for sure and don't know if it's totally healed. He seems fine in the city, X-ray inconclusive. Guardedly optimistic 4/10/13, he seems fine.
I have:

John, I had remembered that you were a lab tech--that's why I sent you the info on the DM seminar. Yes, our corgis do look similar! Mine, however, isn't as tough as yours! (Hiking, that is)! We are still waiting for a new pup--Kathleen Mallery is trying to get a litter sired from her DM clear male, but so far, no luck! He's still very young, though.
  • Ann B., Scout and Summer

    John,
Scout does have arthritis in his front legs. He had to have surgery on both front legs when he was 1 yr old--due to the growth plates on one bone in each leg closing prematurely, and the other bones bowing. Vet had to break the bones and let them heal and find their own "place"--poor Scout was stuck in a crate for 8 weeks (legs were not casted). Vet said this could have been caused by trauma, and Scout was one wild and crazy pup. We noticed the legs bowing at about 8 mos., but one vet told us everything was fine, not to worry--corgis have little bent legs! I blame him for us not correcting the problem sooner! Anyway, Scout loves hiking, but can't seem to go more than a couple miles before slowing down and not wanting to walk anymore. We do have a rx for anti-inflammatory that we give him prn. Last weekend, we took Scout to "See Spot Walk" a fund-raiser for ID Humane Society--it was just one mile walk in downtown Boise (3,000 dogs)! Scout told us one mile was enough--but of course, this was all on cement, and my knees told me enough, too! By the way, Scout turned 8 yesterday. I know that he is AT-RISK for DM--K. Mallery has had most of her dogs tested, and we know that Scout's mom and dad were at risk. She has had some "wheeled" corgis, so knows first-hand what the disease is like. Maybe you will meet her at the seminar--she is an interesting lady, very strong personality. I don't talk to her about politics--LOL. Enjoy the seminar!

Al and Gwynnie are the best companions a human could ask for and you are the reason why :)
  • Ann B., Scout and Summer

    John,

We are finally getting a pup! Kathleen Mallery's DM clear male sired a litter born 10/28. They are all carriers, as the Mom is at risk. Of course, we will have ours spayed/neutered. I don't know yet if we will get a male or female, but most are black-headed tris. My question: I am trying to think of Welsh names for our pup, and I wondered if Al and Gwynnie are their full names, or if there is more to the names. Lots of Welsh names have the "Gwynn" prefix. Welsh is such a strange language! I did come across a great boy name: Cadwgan, it is pronounced ca DOO gan!

  • Ann B., Scout and Summer

Good ideas, John! I used to be an astronomy buff, when I owned a telescope, in my youth. Star names are great. In fact, Al could be Aldeberan! As for Welsh, BBC has a website (Google under "Welsh Pronunciation" and I think you will find it), where you can listen to Welsh being spoken. It does sound like something from another planet! We are going to see the pups again tomorrow, and hopefully, pick one out (or maybe one will pick US, like Scout did)! I hope Scout will deal with this ok--when we took him out there, he loved playing with the Dad, but the pups scared him!!!

  • Carol Rea

The first week he had his wheels, he tried to go down our driveway, greater than 6%, he got going too fast and had to go off into the dirt on the side like a runaway truck ramp!

Actually, Bobbie sent a pattern for skis for carts, unfortunately, Lucky's cart has wheels that slant in and so the skis won't work. Too bad, I think it would be fun to take him out cross country! Don't know what we would do with Sonny - maybe hook up something with our son's snowboard! HAHAHA or...we could put both dogs on the snowboard, I know Jeremy would not mind

  • Natalie & Stanley

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Stanley enjoyed turning 3 months old and I enjoyed turning...many more than 3 months old :)

I hope the holidays are treating you, Al, Gwynn and all of your family well!

  • RILEY, MAGGIE and Christine Kemp

Riley and Maggie May are cousins...their moms were sisters and they share the same grandmother (Westbourne Cracklin Rosie). More than likely this had everything to do with the similarities. Your pups look quite a bit alike, too. Riley and Maggie might share some genes with your pups...Vinnie was a Timberside pup. Were either Gwynnie or Al out of Vinnie?
  • RILEY, MAGGIE and Christine Kemp

Al is Gwynnie's nephew (so it's Aunt Gwynnie ?). Didn't Al come from Carrie Hale? I think Carrie Hale's kennel is Haleys out of Bellevue, Wash. Ch. Timberside Vine Maple "Vinnie" (not sure where he is now) if I have it right sired pups for Carrie Hale. Vinnie is brother to Folly (Riley's mother) and Birdie (Maggie's Mother). Vinnie is/was Co-owned by Carrie Hale/Hoedwig. Vinnie, Folly and Birdie are out of Ch. Aberlee Bransby x Timberside Cracklin Rosie.

Haley's Juris Allegro "Al"...(Carrie Hale's PWC Kennel is Haleys). Do you have anymore info on Gwynnie? Did you receive a ancestrial chart with your pups? I'm wondering if Al and Gwynnie could have come out of Ch. Vine Maple "Vinnie" . Who was there Mother ?

Sometime when you have an extra minute Google Timberside Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Kelly Knuteson (owner) has several champions. "Clooney" is a champion who lives in China.

I find this stuff very interesting...love to see pictures of pups and their sibs, etc.

  • RILEY, MAGGIE and Christine Kemp

I'm pretty sure I saw Haley's Allegro "Al" on Carrie's FaceBook page in her photos with Al's picture.

My head spins after I have read some of this stuff...I have to go through and kinda disect the information. It is still confusing, it gives my old brain a real work out. You are so right about the pedigrees of our dogs is different than human pedigrees.

Yes, Vinnie is uncle to Riley and Maggie. I have seen the name Haley's Dante...I'll go back and look again.

I will check on the names Joyce Gilpin and Cheri Helsdon. That'll keep me busy for a while :)

Have you joined FaceBook yet? It's free...I'm very careful what info I put out there when I'm using my FB account! I have family (daughter-in-law and granddaughters on FB), we keep in touch through FB. Lots of Corgi lovers as FB friends, it's fun to see all the photos.

Hahhahaa, we stuffed the ballot box too. Bah, what is Slime Mold in the face of audacious Corgi! ;) Gosh, yeah, I don't have a use for it, I do have a bag -- actually I got it for Christmas, and now I just got a D300 this week to go with it. World's heaviest camera. If I get trapped in the wilds I'll be able to huck it at a cougar or something. You know, it's too bad that they don't have a raffle for rescue at the local Corgi get togethers... we had one at our Cardigan show not too long ago, kinda neat! :D I know they do one for Corgi Aid too - an online raffle, I think? Sam might know!

Hmm, I know about about the local rescues, and that's what I'd think too! CPWCC is pretty darn good at getting in there and getting involved when they're needed. :) I have someone on my side here that's pretty heavily involved with the CPWCC, would you like me to ask her? The other option is maybe selling it on Craigslist and donating the proceeds? I don't know if that might work better?

  • Shepdog

I carry a point and shoot to the barn all the time! :) Those things take a pounding and still keep shooting. I have a little Canon Power shot I love.

My Nikon doesn't... I've done some bad things to both of my cameras. This last one really has issues on some settings because my mare picked up the strap in her teeth and twirled it around with me going "NO, NO Blondie, drop it!!!!" like some sort of moron. Plus, they're so heavy, ugh. I've taken to backpacking my camera everywhere lately, which is great... but you lose a lot of shots when you can't just grab and click and stuff it back into your pocket. :(

Hardly competition. It only looked bad, but did no real damage. The Rafanator is in a class of his own. I posted some new photos of sofa destruction and need to post one of the wallpaper he ripped. He's like Marly.
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

I read your line about the companionship and peaceful vibes from your corgis. The sad thing is that we have no peace inside or out with The Rafanator because he's so destructive. We're trying to find a good trainer to come out and get some help. He's the sweetest corgi, w/o a mean bone in his body. He's never met a baby, child, or dog that he doesn't love. We certainly can't say the same for Lucy! Now if he just didn't love eating everything inside and outside. We may have to consider rehoming him if we can't "fix" this. He would probably be happier in a more active environment where he would have jobs and kids/livestock to herd.
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Thanks, John. I don't think that there's a bone we don't have, including big beef bones, knuckles...some that are even too big for them to tackle. It doesn't help. He has no boundaries. Both Lucy and R/R destroy their toys, that's what the toys are there for. But Lucy, like all my other corgis, learned to distinguish their toys. When R/R is awake, we have to watch him every minute. He moves from chewing his bone under the chair, to chewing the chair, making the same sounds. We can't even relax when he's quiet. This week he ate a huge hole in my sofa, 2 telephone cables, and the wallpaper. Outside it's no better. He digs up the potted plants and flowers, and destroys all the irrigation drip lines. He also eats the wood, and our house is redwood. I could go on and on, but it'd be a laundry list. Jack has had it with him. We've been married and have had corgis for 37 yrs. I also had corgis as a kid. I devoted the first few months to training and it's always paid off with dogs I could take anywhere. I have never run into a corgi like R/R. It's like he has a screw loose or faulty wiring. We have fallen in love with him, but, we have no peace. Earlier today I asked Jack if our furniture was more important than our love for an animal. Jack said that if we were talking about me, he'd keep me even if I ate the furniture.

  • RILEY, MAGGIE and Christine Kemp

Hi John...Thanks for the nice things you have said about Riley and Maggie. They are quite the pair, love them (very entertaining).

Kelly commented to us that Maggie is a red-headed tri with a black skull. I'm not sure what that means, I can see the red hair starting to come through the black. As for Riley, he will be 2 yrs in July, I think the coat keeps changing for years. Time will tell the tale (or is that tail) . Al and Gwynnie have beautiful coats, do you think their coloring will change much more?

Maggie is like shooting a moving target...it's very difficult to get a good picture of her. I will keep trying. She isn't as laid back as Riley (he would actually pose for me, more or less).

    Chris

I think I subscribed to the CPWCC newsletter, I should get the next issue.

  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Having owned corgis all 37 yrs. of our marriage and even when I was a kid, I can say, without question, that something is not normal. I called a trainer in LA that was highly recommended but I don't think he wants to drive out here. I took him to obedience classes but that didn't help; nor were the trainers very knowledgeable. I will call my vet tomorrow and see if he can recommend an animal behaviorist. This has become one of the saddest experiences for Jack and me. I have put so much time and love into him. I always believed that there aren't problem dogs, only problem owners. But, I know I gave him the same training clear and consistent daily training that I gave all my other corgis. If anything, I gave him even more time and attention because I don't work now & we rehomed him. Initially we kept telling ourselves, he's just a puppy. He'll outgrow this. Lucy was a little terror of a puppy. But, if anything, this month he is worse. It would be a lot easier on us if he wasn't so sweet and good-natured. I am also going to discuss medication with my vet, as a last resort.
  • RILEY, MAGGIE and Christine Kemp

Sorry John, I must have been dogstracted...I didn't read that post very well. Gosh 2007 issue, that's been awhile ago ! I wonder if they have back issues available, probably not.
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Indeed, Lucy's Nebriowa. She's a little beauty, but it's our bad boy that gets all the attention on mycorgi. Lucy was handpicked by us from Tim Mathiesen. We flew up to Oakland and rented a car to get to Lucy and she was well worth it. What's your email address. I'll send you Lucy's pedigree. I scanned it for Doug when we compared ancesters. Does Al have any Sua Mah on his papers? I'd love to see his pedigree. Maybe they have more relatives...Have you seen Lucy's photos on mycorgi. I even have photos of the Nebriowa litter and one with Jack and Tim. Unfortunately, I take too many photos with my iPhone and then am too lazy to even edit out the bad ones. Ditto w. my flip videos. I've been starting to clean out some, but i have a long way to go. I love your photos, esp the one with Al keeping you warm in the tent. Who took the photo??
  • shelley power

Well ,John, he has Nebriowa in his ancestry... I have discovered it is the nebriowa that has drawn me in!!LOL his Nebriowa is several generations before "flash"( DBL exposure) :) he has and probably Al too a nebriowa dog called Nebriowa Front and Center along with couple others but nothing as recent as Double Exposuer - A gorgeous dog...CH Nebriowa Double Exposure
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Indeed Lucy has Nebriowa Double Exposure in her pedigree. We're family. Actually Lucy resembles Nebriowa Double Exposure in head and body, low to the ground. Lucy%27s%20pedigree_2.jpg
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

PS It's no accident that I have yet to include him in the mycorgi profile photo. It's so hard wondering if some day we will have to re-home him. He's captured our hearts and he has fans galore. But his fans don't have to live with him. They get to enjoy his antics and go home.
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Say it ain't so. Your photo is a fake. I feel like I did when learning that black and white iconic photo of a nurse being kissed by a sailor in Times Square of V-J day was posed––not candid.
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Now we're back on the roller coaster. He's been near perfect for the last two days. I can't give him up. Can't live with 'em and can't live w/o 'em! He drives Jack far crazier than me because Jack is controlling and RR is out of control. It makes me nuts too considering the time I've put into training him. We've made major strides, but this destruction of our house in unacceptable, and I don't want an outside dog.
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Jack and my baby, Marnie, have seen Best in Show a gazillion times. They love it. Meantime, you got two magnificent Corgis, that I trust is no accident. You know that our friend Doug is responsible for bringing RR into our lives. I have never seen a more FLK (funny looking kid). He's turning into an almost handsome dog that could fit into your family. haha! We definitely have to meet up with Doug at a Corgi Specialty Show!
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Hey John, Thanks for listening and being so supportive re. our Rafanator. I spoke to my vet, who's also an old friend, at length today, and he highly recommended a professional behavioral trainer. He's known her for years and worked with her on many projects. She's experienced and well-trained and I'm hoping she can give us the help we need. She's coming out on Friday for a 2 hr. consultation with Jack, RR, Lucy and me.
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

As far as I'm concerned this little monster came directly from Doug. Without his divine interference, our lives would be blessed with Lucy and then another Nebriowa boy! Where did he come from is an excellent question. No clue. He came w/o papers, only a bill of sale from a breeder that doesn't seem to exist. I think it was a backyard breeding, at best, but I don't think a puppy mill. I think she just printed a Rockstar Corgi letterhead with the worst contract I have ever seen for a puppy. He has turned out, much to our surprise, to be a handsome little devil. Who knew? When we got him he was skin and bone and ALL EAR. The trainer came out today and worked with Lucy and RR for 2 hrs. He showed a great attention span and was an avid student. I have hope. I have rued the day we rehomed him as I never wanted him to go to a 3rd home. I am an optimist and I didn't put in the time just to give him up. Interestingly, without AKC papers or pedigree, we have already spent way more money on him than Lucy. The Nebriowa search was fun. Nice to know we're family. I already felt that we were. You, Doug, and a handful of other members have all enriched my life, and given me loads of laughs. Thanks to this site I also got a craving for a tri boy like I was pregnant--god forbid--and impossible! Lilo and Stitch. Gonna look for it. Disney, seriously?!
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

@John - Strange how finding a corgi site could turn our life upside down. Without mycorgi, I'm sure that we wouldn't have gotten a 2nd or at this time of our lives, or a re-homed corgi. I'm a sucker for getting a baby and filling in where nature left off. But, I have to believe that all of this is for a reason, and that he may yet become the best boy we've ever owned. Lucy is already the best girl.
  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Hey, don't blame me for Rafa/Ricky/Rafinator AKA "the little terrorist." If you'd have given him a nice doggie name instead of naming him for a wild, Spanish tennis player none of this would have happened.
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Well it's been a nice surprise that he turned out to be a little beauty. Probably because he was named after that handsome devil of a tennis player, Rafael Nadal. Little Ricky is becoming big Ricky and we have hopes that the next chapter will be easier. BTW, Rafa Nadal is widely recognized as being one of the nicest players around and the hardest working. He's #1 in the world & a great role model for anyone, even a corgi!

Same daughter, Lindsay, just a few weeks ago, haha, with Rookie, one of my beloved males. He was regal.

  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

OMG. Rookie was the love of my life. When friends asked what I'd do if Rookie didn't like the baby, I always said that I'd give away the baby. So you saw Lindsay's first day with Lucy, now I'm going to torture you with Lindsay's first day with Rookie and Maggie, 29 years ago. If you look closely you'll see 2 corgi heads.

Of course these were the days before digital cameras, these photos are scanned. I created the Corgis Remembered group as a tribute to all of our corgis past, yet it breaks my heart every time I look at members' photos and read their stories. I'm going to include another photo of Rookie, our swimming fool. Before kids our pool wasn't fenced, so anytime the temp. went above 70º Rookie was diving in. I'll have to find some of those photos. For a short guy, he made astounding dives. He was a big male but I'm wondering now if R/R won't be bigger. You should see Rookie with his ears up ...stunning ...and what heart...so devoted...so much FUN.

  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

PS Now I've shamelessly added yet another scanned photo: Dylan and Emily when they were 7 or 8 mo. old. They were litter mates from an upstate NY breeder that wouldn't separate them––and rightfully so! She flew them to us & I still remember nervously waiting for their arrival at LAX. sob! These dogs steal our hearts...and I hope when all is said & done, that RR will be up there with the great corgis of my life. He better be!@#$%! Dylan & Emily's breeders were judging a Corgi Specialty in S. CA and they made a home visit just to check on their babies. RIP Blandie and Maitland Ijams (Roughhouse Corgis).

Rookie was from a great line of fabulous males starting with Schauferhaus Yul B and Cappykorn Bach. OMG, in googling to get the correct spelling of Yul B's breeder, I learned so much about my corgis' heritages that I wouldn't have known if not for sending you all this stuff. Sorry!

Another time I'll send you photos of my other Corgis, Annie and Gorki. I'll give you a break.

See, all you have to write a nice sentence about Rookie or Lucy & I repay you with all this chatter and scanned photos (and probably not not even 35 mm at that--110!). No good deed goes unpunished! I'm like Aerosmith's Steven Tyler who said "I can live for 2 months on a good compliment." He also said "the best way to get into a lady's pants is to borrow her jeans."

  • Kari & Quin

Hey John, Sahuarita is a bit above 3500 I believe. We are not as hot as Phoenix they stay above 110- 115 in the summer we just stay above 100 most of the summer which last from may - oct :) Right now it is in the 80s but at night it still cools down it was really chilly this morning 36 when we woke up. But it will warm quickly. Quin is just over a year old so not real sure how she will take the heat but we do have to walk early in the morning. I have started to notice she is seeking out shade when we walk and laying down for a bit and it isn't even hot. We stay inside most of the summer ( air conditioning is a wonderful invention) kinda like winter for the rest of the country:)

As far as the desert she has learned to stay away from the cholla cactus they are the worst I carry pliers with me just in case. I also check her for stuff caught in her fur and try to brush her after every walk just to keep an eye on that stuff. I am concerned about rattle snakes, thinking about avoidance training but she is not out side on her own. I live on dirt roads on 4 acres so we mostly walk on the road we have done some hiking and she did better then me ha ha. But I did notice she walked slower when we came to shade and faster in the sun:)

I thought about leaving a comment to the newest post about shaving your corgi but there were so many already so... And then I might just say something nasty like "you think it is hot where you live in Oklahoma, please you don't know what hot is until you have lived through 120 degrees (which it was in Phoenix one year when I lived there) let me tell you I don't care if it is dry it is like an oven. Or why own a double coated dog if you can't stand the shedding (cause if you ask me that is the real reason that they shave their dogs) sorry:)

  • JENNY & COBY

John, i just look throught all your photos AGAIN!

Al and Gwynnie make my day so happy!

    I just LOVE it!

Thanks John!! We have been going back and forth for the last year about getting a brindle or blue merle cardi puppy. We talked ourselves out of getting a pup or a second dog for that matter! My husband saw the link of Tucker at the shelter and it was love at first sight!!! We then went and saw Tucker and he just stole my heart right off the bat with those corgi kisses!! So much for not adding a second dog, haha. I am enjoying having 1 of each corgi. It just was meant to be, is how I look at it.

For example - each pup goes home with its own puppy blanket that's been with them and smells like home/mom. How sweet is that? She also sent me this incredibly informative 20 page corgi puppy "users manual." I'm smitten with this kennel! I feel like I'm not just buying a pup -- but a whole corgi experience!

I don't expect to pick out the pup myself and don't want to. Because if I had a choice, the whole litter would come home with me, haha. I told her that I really wanted a boy (luckily 7:1 that's in my favor) and have a soft spot for fluffies. As for a fluffy, many sources actually confirm that they shed LESS. But yeah, it will take strength AND effort to maintain the coat. The fluffy undercarriage + rain/mud = a lot of baths. Fluffy corgi puppies are so cute, they should be illegal.

Thanks John!! I think Frosty is pretty awesome too lol!! I am a total Cardigan person. I love their attitude so much, and I think they are super cute. Here's an article about the differences between Cardis and Pems: http://www.angelfire.com/amiga/mydogRugby/cardipembi.htm

Thanks! I have already taken tons and tons of pictures and its only been a month. I love my corgi baby so much! Thanks for the reply to my thread as well. I know its a weird question because dogs do love to smell. I don't think its the reverse sneezing. I think he just wants to take in as much scent as possible sometimes haha Your corgis are beautiful too!
