About My Corgi(s):
Have had R & W Pembrokes my whole life, usually in pairs. Lucy, our now 5-yr old charmer, is a delight and keeps us laughing. We purposely picked a petite girl so that we could fly with her in the passenger cabin. We had our maiden voyage CA to NY (w. Lucy in the largest sized airline approved sherpa) and we all survived––esp. me, with the help of a bloody mary!

Fast forward a year and we re-homed a tri-male puppy who would have been in the pound if we didn't intervene. He had been left alone basically 24/7 in a backyard, and was all ribs and ears. He was a handful and the most difficult corgi I had ever owned. I don't know who was more upset by the decision to keep him, Jack, my husband, or Lucy. But all things happen for a reason. He's a wonderful, gentle and loyal corgi and we're all in love with him, including Lucy, (most of the time!), haha. RR turned 1 yo this month & surprised us all by becoming quite the looker. Lucy is 5. RR is twice her size, Everyone thinks that she's the puppy. Ya gotta love happy endings!!!
I have:
Pembroke

Sounds like R/R has finally forgotten his horrible life and learned what love is and how to give it back...corgi style:) So happy for you all!
  • Joyce Lee

Thank you for the welcome! (: The picture is up on my profile now! And yes, he is indeed a beautiful pup<3
  • Joyce Lee

Glad to be friends too! And yes Kobi is small! He was only 5 days old when i visited him. (: Sadly, the breeder lives pretty far away from where I live so the next time I will be able to see Kobi is in November ): The breeder however agreed to send me pictures of Kobi growing up! I am so excited!!
  • Emily & Cooper

Hello, thank you for the warm welcome! I am glad to be around fellow Corgi lovers! You have beautiful dogs! Ricky is so lucky to have a nice owner rescue him, many people don't want to rescue dogs because of their uncertain history and genetics but Ricky looks very happy in your pictures. He kind of reminds me of my Hercules!
  • WhiteDove

Oh Yeah!. . .Andy HAS to be the center of attraction. . . .He's such a character. . . . .LOL
  • WhiteDove

    Hello Wendy,

Andy used to play with Cloe but now that Peanut is "part of the pack" he and Andy are the best of BUDS! They are more active than Sid Babs & Cloe so their attention rests with them two. They cry when one of them is out of sight and the other will come running from wherever he is. . .it's really funny to watch them. Andy is definitely different from the other 3 Corgis. My brother says he's like the Joker in Batman. . .he has a smile all the time. . . .LOL

This is incredible, the resemblance between your Lucy and my Sophie.  Tim sold Sophie to the lady I got her from at 6 mos, so she is not Lucy's mom or dad.  If you have AKC papers on Lucy, let me know who her sire and dam are.  Sophie's sire is Ch Hum'nbird Valedictorian and her dam is Ch Nebriowa China Dove.  Tim has bred and is still breeding great dogs.  Thank you so much for the complement on how well Sophie looks.  She lead a busy life being shown and having puppies before I got her 2.5 yrs ago - now she is very much retired and does whatever she pleases.  The breeder I got her from is the lady who bought her from Tim.  She had placed Sophie a year before I got her with a friend of hers who became ill and couldn't take care of her anymore.  Susan knew I wanted a second corgi so she asked me about taking Sophie and I jumped at the chance.  I am soooo happy I did because she is such a sweetheart and loves to be loved.  She is the unspoken boss dog in my house.  The picture you are looking at on my page was taken inside a jumpy thing at my great-granddaughter's birthday party this past April.  The dog in front is "Kenny" aka LS Kennychesney (4 yrs) and the dog on my left is "Norah" aka LS Norahjones (7 yrs).  Of course, the sweet gal under my right arm is Sophie. Missing from that picture is my weimaraner, Mocha (8 yrs).  I acquired Norah last February when friends of mine wanted me to babysit her while they moved and got settled.  I fell in love with her and she and Kenny were instantly the best of friends --- so I asked them for her and I ended up with her.  I guess the saying "Be careful what you wish for" is true.   I have included a couple pictures so you can see how crazy I am with all my dogs!!

  • steve ruggles and Ziggy

Thank you.  I see a lot of resemblance there (all good).  Ziggy's profile picture is puppy but if you look at more recent pictures you'll see a lot of resemblance.  Hope everyone is healthy, Ziggy sure is.

Elvis is a treasure, he can communicate with a look, he has my partner Dave fascinated, before I met him he did not like dogs, he hadn't met Elvis :) he did not stand a chance, now he refers to him as his boy!!

  • Sam Tsang

Thank you for the get well balloons :)

  • Snickmom

Your dogs are fabulous. RR looks a lot like Snickers and Lucy is so beautiful she just makes me swoon! Please tell me how you changed the set up on your page so the pictures are on top? I am brand new to this social networking thing and want to make my page my own.

  • Snickmom

I tried! When I hit the customize button I get the panel on the top that lets you change colors, but I don't see how it lets you move things. I also tried dragging the modules, but all I get is the circle/bar (no, no, bad girl). I also want to have captions under my pictures like yours. I have also seen other pages like yours where the movies are in a little row. Mine are big and stacked. Any other hints on how you did what you did to get what you got? Another question, if you don't mind. I notice you have a gift to a friend. Does any of the money for the gifts go to help Corgis? Thank you so corgi!

  • Rebecca Marie O'Bryan

thank you so much. at this time you and everyone's supports is greatly appreciated. i have always loved his coloring too, it was so unique and it went along with his great personality. he was a very special little guy

  • Rebecca Marie O'Bryan

  • Keri&Merlin(Judy&Alan's Pups)

Saw You All got a look at Cory and the bio about Me(Judy)having corgis as a child.Yep,My Mom and Aunt had a small pet shop in the 60's and a lady came by to show them 2 pups that she was promoting the Disney movie,Little Dog Lost, which was about a corgi that gets lost and has to find his way home. She let movie theaters show the pups to families as they entered the theaters. My Mom and Dad were smitten :).We travelled over to the Central Valley of Ca,and brought Our first corgi home,Corky. My Dad showed Corky on the circuit for awhile until My Dad passed away due to a traffic accident. He continued on as a family pet for almost13 years.I need to find a pic of Him.Take care.

  • Keri&Merlin(Judy&Alan's Pups)

The comment about the trainer from the movie.so You knew the trainer from Bundock's here in Sebastopol,Ca??She handled all 12 dogs/bitches that played the parts. We got to meet all the dogs, like, the one that hated thunder,to the other dog that liked to hurdle etc.Never knew another breeder/trainer was involved.Never know, huh?

  • Dawn M.

Thank you for the welcome.  I have been trying to get a picture of the two Corgis together since we got Arwyn in April.  Not only is it impossible, but she is seriously afraid of having a camera pointed at her and even when you sneak up and try to take one when she is sleeping, the click is enough to have her up and running and the picture is a complete blur!  Crazy.

  • Julia Hoeppner

Thanks for the compliment, your dogs are beautiful. I think Gunner was around eight months old. We decided that halloween will be his birthday. We love Halloween, and it's easy for our two year old to remember. We want to ad another fuzz butt to the family, but we only want to adopt. I think the stars aligned just right for him :)
  • Pam

Hi! We live all the way downtown in Old Fulton Market - by the Seaport.
  • Snickmom

Thank you for your help moving my pictures around!
  • Thomas, Blake & Hudson

    Thanks!
We have one. He is around 9 months old

  • Jeannie

Hiii!! You're corgi's are soo cute.  I have been looking to find a tri-color one RR, the color is so adorable and he's got character!

  • Keri&Merlin(Judy&Alan's Pups)

I know how time flies!!The meeting with the trainer was at the time the movie was made so that was over 40 years ago!!The trainer I'm sure moved over that time,We sure had!!Our original corgi when I was growing up wasn't out of Bundock's stock, but Our male Cory You saw in Our pic was.A co-owned bitch had the litter of pups.We took one and the last brother went home with My Mom and StepDad.This pair are both out of Winterflower Farm and Fairie Glenn.

  • Keri&Merlin(Judy&Alan's Pups)

No worries!!The trainer was FROM Bundocks, not named that.Enough about Our old babies.Feeling blessed to have the current ones, aren't you?

  • Snickmom

I tried to stick a sticker on one of my pictures so I could see if I could get it off, and I can't make it stick. It does a big long waiting thing then goes back to the previous screen without the sticker. I supposed you tried the undo button in the sticker screen?

  • DeeDea & Pudge

The Pudge book is all photos and a little text. I'd like to thank Shutterfly for sending me an email for a free 20 page photobook.

I think part of the reason why there are so many Texas corgis is because of Michelle (Ladybug) -- she made these mycorgi.com Texas group cards and has us hand them out to people at the bark parks who have corgis. As a way of reaching out to other corgi owners without being weird about it.

  • Rebecca Marie O'Bryan

i cant thank u enough for being there for me. sorry it took so long to get back with you, i have been staying at work longer to keep my busy so i dont focus so much on teddy. me and my husband are starting to consider looking for a breeder who will have puppies soon as we miss him so much and our house so empty, even with two cats. i will defiantly have to check out your group, i may copy and paste his story again but leave out most the photos so it dosnt take up so much space .

i am sorry for what happened to your corgi, that must of been awful for poor Jake to witness that!

  • Jeannie

Meeting Ricky would be awesome! Would I be able to bring my little guy Remy too?

  • WhiteDove

So. . .long story short, my Grandpa Whitehorse The Man wanted to name me WhiteDove. My Grandma the Matriarch of the family wanted to name me Margie Dale. To my Grandpa, I will always be WhiteDove.
  • WhiteDove

You asked how I found this site. I forget where I was surfing but I was contacted by Sam to join and like most of us here, this site is one of my favorites, besides my own that is. . .LOL

  • WhiteDove

    Peanut is a real character too. . . . .

  • Keri&Merlin(Judy&Alan's Pups)

I know what You mean about those adorable fluffs! We went so far as to contact a rescue in SCa about a fluff up for adoption. He was a black-headed tri about 3 yrs old.One of those poor pups that shed. That's why they gave him up!!!The adoption couldn't go any further because He HATED other male dogs. Our Merlin is the sweetie in Our house,Keri is the Alpha,so that wouldn't fly.

  • Dsnop, Myca, Luci and Belle

By far the greatest. Do you know of any corgi meet ups in the area? I would love for them to get to play around with other little stubs like themselves.

  • Dsnop, Myca, Luci and Belle

I'm in the Beverly Hills area. I'll definitely go check the Redondo Beach meet up out.

  • Lucy Lee Derstein

Thank you! I hope she out grows her naughty stage, right now she makes my roommates crazy. They have always had little dogs like sliky terriers and are not used to Lucy's big personality. I adore her though, that's all that matters!

  • Lucy Lee Derstein

Oh my! My Lucy is a tiny thing too! Only 17 lbs right now! She eats like a pig though! Goodness! I have been trying my hardest to be the boss, I just don't know what to do about her biting! She chews on hands most of the time instead of letting you pet her and the herder in her will nip heals! I'm sure she'll grow out of some of her naughtyness and over all she's sooo sweet. esp when it's just me and her! She's just so hard headed!

  • Andrea De Leo

Thank you for Romeo's Birthday gift!!!

  • Andrea De Leo

    Thank You!
  • WhiteDove

Cool. . .you taught me a new word. . ."beshert". . .here's one from me: "Yatahey". . .it means "HELLO" in Navajo. I love learning new languages even if it's just a few words. I also speak Spanish. I learned it from my Grandma (5 of my younger siblings never learned it but BOY they sure understood her when she was upset. . .LOL) Her parents were from Madrid, Spain. Never been there but someday hope I can visit. Thanks.

  • Katy

Hello! I go to Elon University- in off-campus housing that is pet friendly :)

  • WhiteDove

Yes, my Grandpa, Whitehorse The Man (of the Navajo Nation) and my Grandma, Theodora raised me from the time I was 3 days old. That's how I got the name WhiteDove. He named me but when it came time to giving me a birth certificate my Grandma won and she named me Margie Dale (Margie after My Little Margie and Dale from Dale Evans of the Roy Rogers show). . .she liked watching TV. . .LOL. My Navajo side has been my strength over the years. He was my "Story Teller".

  • WhiteDove

I've been to Texas and New Orleans and Spain is on my list. . . .

  • John Wolff

    Hey, check out this one:
