Welcome Nathan! This is a wonderful site for corgi lovers. Be sure and read the FAQ, especially the article called 'so you think you want a corgi". There are lots of great groups here, too. Check out the Orange County group and the So CA group. The best place to be on a Sunday morning from about 10:30-11:30 is the Huntington Beach Dog Park. There are usually about 15 corgis there, many of them young and playful. The owners will be glad to talk to you.

    Welcome to the site!  :)

  • Yuki & Ellie

You are very welcome.  :)  There are lots of friendly and helpful people on this site, so don't hesitate to ask questions or get advice both before and after you bring home your puppy.

  • Yuki & Ellie

I hope your first night with Luffy goes smoothly.  With any luck you'll get through it with little to no puppy whining!

For some reason, i can't reply to your message so here it is lol... Sounds great! It's definitely beneficial for him to get socialized early. If you have friends that have dogs that are fully vaccinated, you can actually have puppy dates with them in an inside area. The reason for this is because I've read their socializing window period is approximately from 12 weeks to 16 weeks so you may want to get started now since their rabies shot is exactly at 16 weeks. =)

    Have a wonderful day. . . . .

    Hey Nathan & Luffy!

Had to stop by and say hi after watching Luffy's (love the name btw) herding video! Amazing! He seems to really love it! Ashton (who's registered name is Dansen Ashton Ein's Real Folk Blues) and Alphonse (Dansen Alphonse Ready Steady Go) are both named after our favorite anime characters. Our next corgi is a little girl we are naming Pino after Ergo Proxy. Yeah, anime fans and gamers here! Take care and looking forward to ready more about Luffy's adventures!

Happy Birthday Luffy!!! Aroooooo!! Hope you enjoy your day, the big 1, woo!!!!

Hey Nathan and Luffy! I saw your question about sneezing when excited in the chat room, but since you aren't on thought I would come here. Look up reverse sneezing, that might be what Luffy is doing! My understanding is it is not a big concern, but if it is happening really frequently you might want to get your vet to look at him!

  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

Just saw your question about sneezing while excited..and as Lindsay said yes it could be reverse sneezing, does it kinda sound like an asthma attack, where they are having a hard time breathing, at least when  I heard reverse sneezing for the first tme, thats what thought.  But yeah, like Lindsay said its not really anything to worry about.

Lance and Tucker will both sneeze when laying on their backs, lol!!!

Problem is I train him DAILY!  I have devoted my whole life to training him and I can't seem to fix this, I don't know how.  I couldn't have stayed with a violent dog and have somebody get hurt.

  • Brooke Busteed

I agree about bringing toys but unfortunatley people do and I can't tell them "no" ya know?  None of the other dogs seem to have a problem, I just wish I knew how to fix it.  He would never act that way towards a human, I even grab his bones and toys out of his mouth with my mouth (gross I know) to be sure he doesn't.

Thanks for showing us the spot today at Mile Square. It was nice to see you and luffy

  • Tracy & Sir Bentley

Would like to try & meet with other corgi families.

We have been to the Huntington Central Dog Park once.  Can't make it there to meet other corgi families because it conflicts with our church activities.

Tried to make it to the Garden Grove Park last Thursday but my husband had to work late.  Trying to get together on a weeknight is difficult.  Coming from Y.L.

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Hey Nathan! I have been meaning to ask you. but never seem to run into you, how is Luffy's sneezing problem? Is he doing better?

  • Tracy & Sir Bentley

So far,  Saturdays in April are open.  Tomorrow is out, going to Angels' ticket window to buy our games for the baseball season. (yay)

  • Lindsay, Fae, and Jimmy

I am really happy the Luffy is doing better! Fae is adjusting to life without her sisfur. She has the odd moment still where I am sure she is looking for/missing Sumiko, but for the most part she seems to have accepted that she is gone.

  • John Wolff

That was a very good joke.  We've been outdone.
