About My Corgi(s):
Noodles will be 5 years old in June of this year (2010) and we've had him since he was 8 weeks old. He is our pride and joy in life. He also is a social butterfly and the neighborhood kids ring our doorbell and ask if Noodles can come play with them. He is very smart and knows the names of his toys and the names of various human family members. We like to call him floor explorer since he seems to clean the floors constantly (apparently he doesn't think I do a good enough job). He doesn't like the blow dryer or vacuum cleaner and could be fast asleep, yet still hear one of those items get pulled out. He is a joy to have around and loves sleeping in bed inbetween his mom and dad every night. We love him so much!
I have:
Pembroke

Noodles has a very cute smile!

Hi, Noodles is so cute. We have Rufus and a Boo. Both are pembroke. Rufus is a boy and he looks kind of like Noodles. He is about 2 1/2. He loves to play...takes a little bit to get socialized with strange dogs though. Boo is 4 and she is the easiest dog ever, loves everyone and everydog. We are pretty sick in love with our corgis....looks like you are too :-)
  • Corgi lover! (Misty)

Hi! Noodles is adorable! My baby is Chesney! Welcome!

  • Mary and Rosie

Thank you for the friend invite and for the compliments of Rosie! Noodles is so cute! :D He and Rosie look alike! Maybe they are related? Rosie loves to dig, although she hasn’t had any sand to try, just dirt. =)
  • Mary and Rosie

Hi! I saw that Amsburg's Chief Sitting Bull is Noodles' dad. I thought the name sounded familiar and checked Rosie's pedigree. Sure enough I found the name three generations back on her Mom's side! Does this make Rosie and Noodles cousins?! =)
  • Carol Rea

Allison, I just watched the pictures and the one with Noodles and the vacuum cleaner and the one with the blanket over his head reminded me of my angel Odie who passed 4 years ago. My husband spent weeks trying to get Odie to accept the vacuum, even to the point of putting his hat on it, he never did like it, but he did love his blankies! He shredded more blankets than any other corgi we have had, and loved to have them thrown over his head like the picture with Noodles. Oh, what memories you have given me. Thank you!
  • jay & deedee

Reading your profile , I see Noodles Like to chase the same vacuum we have. Holli has a fit when anybody touches our vacuum. Every Night She has to sleep at the end of the bed too , to watch TV laying on her back.
  • Mary and Rosie

Happy Birthday Noodles! May all your corgi dreams come true!
  • Carol Rea

Happyn 5th Birthday Noodles! You look very handsome in your party hat! Carol, Lucky and Sonny
  • Kimber-Leigh May

sorry i took so long to accept your friendship... i dont get on this as much as i used to been really busy. we did live in the same neighborhood. I moved last october and now live closer to the roths just off of idylwood actually so not to far away. How have you and noodles been?
  • Carol Rea

thanks Alison! I don't know how I missed your comment or Noodles birthday - how was the cake? (it looks delicious!! Sonny would have gobbled it up before the picture - we have had him a year, and he is still untrained! i guess I have been ill the whole time, but he is BAD) we had hoped to get to the walk in the Pearl, but not to be done this year. Just noticed, new "wallpaper"? I love Noodles pose. Cat is helping me write and I have broken collar bone, this is hard (oh,well) Gina the cat thinks Noodles is pretty good looking (she likes corgis!)
  • Carol Rea

Oh, and Lucky does like his wheels! He can now play ball again. He is outside now, on the porch busy barking at the birds on the feeder. I guess I should go out and tell him barking is not allowed, but it is hot and I am lazy!
  • Carol Rea

Thanks Allison! We will probably try it next! I do think though, that Sonny is gaining weight on the lite food!
  • Mary and Rosie

Alison, I really wanted to go to the Corgi Walk tomorrow, I was hoping that Rosie could meet her cousin Noodles. But I have to work and won't be able to make it. =( I'm really upset, but I'll definitely be there next year.
  • Christopher Lemley

Tucker is a late a bloomer as far as his ears go. Both of his siblings on here had both of their ears up before he had one up. Also, Noodles looks like a very happy corg!
  • Peter M

Thanks Alison, and Noodles looks like quite a handsome dog.
  • Steve

Thanks Alison for the bull costume info. Steve didn't wear the costume as well as Noodles but we had a good laugh as the cowboy swung his hat while Steve walked/ran. The bulls horn didn't stay put so he wore a devils horn instead...LOL.
  • Carol Rea

Hey Noodles!  Lucky and Sonny would love to have a buddy to chase snowballs with.  The snow is finally starting to go away, thank goodness (only the corgis seem to be enjoying this latest snowfall, it is getting downright OLD!)  Sonny is downright funny out there chasing snowballs, and with some of it cleared away Lucky can finally use his cart.  It was getting pretty cold on the tummy to seal-walk in the snow!

  • Amy

Thanks for your comment on my boy Llyr Alison. I am new here so it may take a bit for me to find my way around!
  • Amy

Alison, thank you for reading Llyr's story. He means the world to me. It is so important for Corgi lovers to learn about DM. It is a horrible disease. I hope soon more breeders will be responsible and test.

Llyr is doing very well considering his diagnosis. He is one very special Corgi!

Awstin is a wonderful boy too and I will post more pictures of him soon! Thank you for accepting my friend request!

  • Victoria Jackson

Hi - Noodles is gorgeous, its funny cause he is a Pembroke and Gypsy a Cardigan yet they look very similar (especially their big white chests) It looks as though he is as spoilt as Gypsy (she also has more toys lying around than the kids!) but she brings us so much joy that she is definately worth it - I wish we had corgi days in Perth but unfortunately there are not many here and i see most of them down at the dog beach at one time or another and ive found it hard to try and get all them together - shame as Gypsy seems to like her own breed - take care and talk soon
  • DeeDea & Pudge

I LOVE the name Noodles. It's actually in my top 10 of favorite corgi names. It's so positively corgi. You chose well!
  • Melissa & Charlie

Thank you! Charlie is definitely spoiled with love. Loving the site!
  • Mary and Rosie

Me and Rosie will definitely be there! It will be great to finally meet you and Noodles. =)
  • Mary and Rosie

Get Well Soon Noodles! It's always a worry when someone isn't feeling well. please keep us posted.
  • Mary and Rosie

I’m so glad Noodles is feeling better! And congratulations to him for losing another pound. I was recently told by the vet that Rosie needs to lose a few pounds, it’s really difficult to help a corgi lose weight so I applaud your success! I hope the new food prevents any more lumps from showing up. I’m very glad Noodles is doing better. =)

  • Corgis and Jess

Thanks for your comment.  Yes, she is an incredible dog.  Very sweet for a dog that was used for breeding and never had a real home. She is now 5 yrs. old and has been with us for 1 year on June 12th.   I'm going to have her tested to be a child Therapy Dog in the fall.  She would be perfect for it.
  • Kimber-Leigh May

Hey alison and noodles!! Its been quite a long time since we talked! Hope you two are well! My hubby saw you guys walking a few days ago i guess and i just wanted to say hi!!
  • Kimber-Leigh May

Well we should make a date to walk around at minto brown!! I have tuesdays and wednesdays off right now and mornings are good for me. Favorite is all about the sun she cant wait to get outta the house!!!
  • Cyndy Glasscock

Thank you Alison... It was much appreciated that you have followed Buddy and his boy's story. We kept very busy with a summer program at our church this week- I imagine the loss will sink in when we are quieter and calmer in the coming days.
  • Mary and Rosie

Thank you for the tip! I’ll definitely try mixing green beans with her food. Rosie loves veggies, although she only likes peas if they are frozen. Maybe she’ll be a little trimmer by the time the Corgi Walk comes around. We’ve been doing more walking now that her knee is healed, and slowly increasing the distance. I hope the weather is sunny for the Corgi walk, I look forward to seeing you and Noodles there!

  • Larry and Amy

Thank you! Noodles is also a great looking Corgi!!
  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

Hi Alison, he is feeling better, just isn't 100 percent when it comes to wanting to play.  Really doesn't have much interest.   On vacation last week, he showed a bit of interest in playing with Tucker, I got it on video!! :)

Today, when I was out, my husband had him in the backyard and he was talking to my neighbor, Lance snuck under the fence, lol.  Yes there is a gap he can fit under.  The neighbors didn't exactly do the best job installing the fence.  Our neighbors have a huge coonhound, who is very friendly.  Lance interacted with Daunte (coonhound) for a little bit, even tried dominating him :O silly Lance, he's not afraid of the big dogs. Daunte told him politely, no thank you!!! phew....lol.

Tucker has been so patient waiting to play, from time to time he tries and gets Lance to play and for the most part Lance shows no interest and looks at Tucker like hes crazy, lol  He slinks away, like leave me alone.  When I post the short video from vacation you will see what I mean about Tucker, he does get a bit hyper.

Hope Noodles is doing well!!  Thanks for asking about Lance :)  Talk to you soon.  Hopefully it wont take me too long to get the video and pictures up from vacation.

  • Miranda Rommel

I'd love to meet up!  Could you send me a link to hte corgi walk?
  • Mary and Rosie

    Hi Alison,

Since this will be me and Rosie’s first time at the corgi walk, I’m not too familiar with the area. Where do you think a good place to meet will be? Just let me know and we’ll be there! :o)

Noodles playing with green beans sounds so cute! I had to cancel Rosie’s diet, for now anyway. There’s too many things to forage in the backyard (like raspberries) right now. :o)

  • Mary and Rosie

    Hi Alison,

We planned on being there about 9:30 as well, and we’ll definitely meet you in the south part of the park. My brother Alex is coming along so it’ll be me, Alex and Rosie. I’m so excited to meet you guys! See you there! :o)

  • Mary and Rosie

I'm so glad we were able to meet at the Corgi Walk. Noodles is sure a handsome corgi. It must run in the family. ;)
We should see if we can get Noodles and Rosie together sometime. It was great meeting you guys! Have a great weekend!
  • Lynde Paule

Hi- It was such a great walk and the turnout was amazing.  We made 160 scarves and they were gone before the parade of Corgis started their walk.  I imagine we had somewhere between 175-200 Corgis.    Once I add up all the money I will post how we did.  I met my goal of $5000 and that tickles me!

  • Sandy Stickney

    Hi Alison!
  • Sandy Stickney

Thank you!  We are fairly new to the corgi world.  We got Kirby in March 2010.  We have 2 older dogs that ignored him, which made me feel bad for him, so my husband surprised me with his sister, Kota in May 2010.  I wish I could have 20 more!! (My husband seems to think 4 dogs is enough.)   Noodles is quite handsome.  I love the pic w/ his Halloween costume!
  • Cheryl Coons

lOVE, LOVE LOVE the name Noodles! What a handsome little man you have!
