Mocha came into our lives shortly after our wedding back in 2002, we soon added Vienna to keep Mocha company.
Mocha graduated with a CGC and held the position of Ambassador in conduct with foreign canine relations. Mocha was diagnosed with Stage 5 Lymphoma in April, he crossed the rainbow bridge on July 30th 2012.
Vienna received her GED from petsmart university and served as Secretary of Defence in our Corgidom. Vienna was diagnosed with stage 5 Lymphoma in August 2012, she joined Mocha at the bridge just before the last day of the Mayan calendar - Dec 20th, 2012.
We continue to foster, rehab and place rescue corgis in need.
What a great site! I've been hoping to find a fun group of corgi fanatics to talk to. Your intro about Mocha made me laugh...Kona goes nuts when I turn on the blowdryer. She believes it is her evil nemesis or something.
Thanks Sam for the pictures of your corgi's, they look just like our beanie, I will put a picture of her on, but I don't know how at the moment. We have a mac computer and I should be able to figure it out soon. Interesting your in-laws live in Parksville, we have very good friends there as well.
Thank you Sam. Do you celebrate the Lunar New Year in the States? I remember when I was in England for 10 years, my family and I did not celebrate it. In fact, most times, it just flew by without our knowledge. Here's wishing you & Silvia a Happy Chinese New Year!
Hi Sam, I just wanted to say thanks for creating this fantastic website. I have become addicted!!and have met so many great people from all over. I, and I'm sure many others would pay to be on this site if needed. It is such great fun to be able to talk major corgi love with other people who understand!!
Ditto on Carol's comments. I am thoroughly enjoying this site. I have to admit, I keep the site up in the background when I am working at my office. It is a nice diversion from the legislative process. I've learned so much.
Hi Sam, thanks for the welcome note and for putting this great website together! My husband and I think Pembrokes are the greatest little creatures ever.Your Corgis are way too cute!! I'd love to find a Corgi meeting in the Atlanta area if you happen to hear of one.
Hey Sam, Thanks for the welcome! Your corgis are adorable as well - I especially like the swimming pictures! Emmy loves to swim too, I'll have to get her a vest this year. I also see that you have the Roomba that I want.. is it as wonderful as I hope for it to be? :-)
Hey Sam, thanks for the welcome, it is great to be here. I look forward to meeting all the corgi folks here and swapping stories and advice. This is a wonderful site, I don't know anyone in my area who owns a corgi so its nice to meet fellow owners from all over. Thank you for creating it. You have a beautiful corgi duo as well. :)
Thanks Sam... I do have a furminator... LOVE IT! I don't know how anyone lives without them. I have been waiting on the Roomba... for what I don't know. I think I am just going to have to bite the bullet and bring one home. Thanks for the advice!
Thank you....I will get pics of my Maggie May as soon as I get my new monitor....Currently I use a friends until I get the new one, should be this week...All my pics of her are one my computer.....
Oh thank you. Yes there seem to be several NC corgi owners. :) I read about the corgi picnic in Raleigh, thats a bit of a distance from here in the moutains, but it sounds like something that would be a whole lot of fun for the pup and myself. I'm thinking road trip the next time that rolls around hehe.
Thanks! This is a GREAT site. =) . Just the anticipation of his arrival is killing me. I'm getting into that gotta-get-ready mode.. and there's nearly a month left!
Thank you for the welcome! I really like this site... it's fun! Your beach pics are great. I wish we lived near a beach... the closest thing we have is the yucky reservoir. Ginny is quite a snow bunny, though, but I think swimming would be fun for her, too!
Hello thanks so much for adding me! Corgis do rule. I love mine so much; they are like my children. I will eventually get their pics uploaded.
Unfortunately, I have been sidetracked since joining. I found this site because I was looking for info on corgis going into labor.
My girls just turned 1 year on the 4th and I was so looking forward to breeding them when they became a little older; however, as careful as I tried to be watching them when they were in heat, Ellie wandered far enough to find a very large dog to breed with and long story short she couldn't deliver-during her c-section she crashed. Thankfully, they were able to revive her but her uterus was completely destroyed because the pups were so large. It has been very harrowing around here. Sad that we won't be breeding her but I don't care anymore--just so thankful she is alive and being such a good mommie to her little muts. Your corgis are beautiful!
Lady just turned a year old on Jan 1st. She's been a therapy dog since september. we started by going to area hospitals, but she's so smart I taught her how to 'read' and 'add' so now we go to special education classes!
thank you for the welcome note...besides general comments , it would be nice to explore extra behavior and medical help with all friendsthank you, Janet
This is such a great idea! Being a corgi fanatic I could spend too much time here! My ball playing friend would really get annoyed with me! Must go tend to Tucker's needs!
thanks on behalf of his daddy haha. I've tried putting it in his favorite places like under the desk where he usually loves to lay or right up next to bed. nothing seems to work. I think it maaaay be that he's still not quite used to the place but My boyfriend seems to think it's a lost cause haha.

I have visited Paris (and many parts of France), it is nice, but I'm not a big fan of big cities, I really enjoy the smaller towns in France.
