I'm a pharmacy student originally from California, but in Baltimore for school. I love dogs and especially Corgis now that I have one. I've only had a Yorkie before (passed down from my sister), so I have to say that Corgis are the best breed I have ever had.
I spend too much time on this website ><;;
About My Corgi(s):
Mei (pronounced May), was born August 1st, 2006. She was on sale at a petstore and I couldn't help but take her home. I mean...who puts a puppy for sale? And she was so scared looking...
Now she's wild and rambunctious. She'll bark at you if she has too much energy to burn and you're ignoring her. I try to walk her for at least a half hour a day, with an hour at the dog park as well. The best exercise she gets is at doggy day care. She never barks at home, but she'll bark all day long at day care.
She loves everyone though. There are no exceptions to this rule. She is one of the friendliest dogs you will ever meet.
Random facts:
-She likes to flip her water bowl (now she has a pot instead because she can't flip it)
-She likes digging into beds....and people....
-She doesn't know how long she is
-She tends to walk into things because she doesn't look where she's going
Thank you mikonami!
We love Sidney's tail too! It is Bruce, my old corgi mix, and CHester, our lab/dane mix, who have been eating the poor quality food. When we brought Sid home back in January, we started learning about the differences in pet food quality. Sid , the puppy, has been on Wellness since that is what his breeder fed him. Now we are moving the old dogs to "the good stuff"!
You can start walking them along the shoreline, this allows the pup to get use to water, pick a really hot day, have life vest, start with shallow water, stay close to your pup so that she'll know where safety is :)
The goal is for the handler to slowly walk in the direction the sheep/lambs/ducks need to go and for the animal to do all the running around. However, I tend to get almost as much of a workout as the kids. Once they learn "get back" and "get around", it's easy from there.
Sure.. when you come back just let me know and we'll show up at central bark. I took Kona there twice and she got really scared of other dogs... haha.. But I would love to see Mei and fellow corgis.. see ya..
yes he does vomit .. a lot. and his poop in general is fine. other dogs that eat the same cat food, vomit too =( ..
kinda getting use to kaijuu vomiting though! we sorta try a lot of different dog foods, and he overeats everything -_- even carrots make him barf, not because hes not use to it, but because he ate too much -_-
hows the weather in md? :P its super hot in cali, at least in norcal -_-;;
yes, there is a designated dog beach in long beach - near the belmont shores aquatic center. there were quite a few there. does huntington beach allow dogs too? or was mei there "illegally"?
Mei is lovely and what a wonderful name! Abe was on sale, too! Bought him at a quarter horse symposium at a Tractor Supply out of a shopping cart! Don't ya' just love a sale?
Hehe, the funniest part about it is he completely ignores her like she's not even there which of course makes her bark more. The annoying little sister that she is. :)
Hi! Fluffies are funny because they pop up randomly in a litter of pups, so you could have one Fluffy and five normal coats from the same parents. And yes, Griff sheds like it's his job! The Furminator is his worst enemy/my best friend. :)
