About Me:
We are a young couple in our fiftys. Our two legged kids are out on thier own so we devote most of our free time to our four legged ones. We have three, a Great Dane (Joni Bell) a Collie Lab mix (Ollie Ann) and our Corgi Fence Climber mix, (BEAR). We are contractors with United Van Lines and travel all over the U.S.A.. Although, we leave the girls home with the house/dog sitter, Bear never leaves our side.

About My Corgi(s):
We rescued Bear from death row at our local dog pound and we both truly believe that he knows it. He is the most loyal dog either of us have ever known and almost always does everything he is told to do. Although, if he does not want to do as he is told he becomes stiff and moves very slow. We call it the robot walk.

Last year Petsmart had a photograph of a Corgi on the cover of it's calender that looked just like Bear and it is our wish to find the owner of the Cover Dog and and hopefully get some mix information.
I have:

    Hi Tammey and Caven,

Thanks for the welcome. Bear looks like he has a wonderful life; he looks so cute sleeping on the dash! My brother is a contractor for a trucking company as well (can't remember the name of the company, however) and travels all over the U.S. with his Australian Cattle Dog, Shadow. They have a great time. Take care our there!

Thanks for the comments. I will show Jessie later.

I know he gets a little bored and the only other friend he had died about two weeks ago, if that. We had to put our family dog down, he had bad cancer. Zack is a wild boy and I love that about him. The issue is can someone train me to be a better dog owner...
  • Gail's Lil' Gizmo

Thanks for the welcome.. these are the greatest little "dwarf" dogs ever.. They are always in the best mood.. :)
  • Roger

Thanks, I will check out Mad dog!
  • Roger

    I learned, thanks!
  • Warhol

No we are not under water here. Lafayette is not as prone to flooding as some of our surrounding areas are. Avery Island i believe is still all in tact, and a very fun place to visit, and bring your dog!
  • BeanDip4All

Hi :) Thanks for the comment. Can you explain what "New York City Get a rope!" means? I think it's a Texas expression, because I have never heard it. Something about being a cowboy? Please enlighten me!

Bear is great, I love that you rescued him. Linus is his brother in rescue-dog spirit.
  • BeanDip4All

Ahh, I get it now! I can speak from experience that we have NO good Mexican here in NYC. It's a common chowhound woe. Thanks for the beta on the expression, I'll have to throw that into my lingo :)
Cheers from NYC, and give Beach a pat on the head from us!
  • Roger

    Wow! That is one story!

I went to petfinders but them it gets confusing on where to go..what part were you in?
  • Judi, Dawn, Soffie & Griffyn

Not to worry!! We keep our eyes out for gators!! It's the coyotes we've got to be leary of!!! Who ever would have thought that would be a concern!!!
  • Roger

Found him! Wow, he is pretty..emailed the gal with some questions. I have looked at that site before..he is new. Had thought of a rescue but kind of had a our hearts on a puppy. We will see what happens..

Thank you for the heads up!
  • Kendra Palmer

  • Judi, Dawn, Soffie & Griffyn

We love all your photos!!! You're one well travelled corgi!! We think we even saw the Sunshine Skyway bridge in one of your pics! ( could we be right? )
  • Marcy

Thanks and hello to you! How are things in Arlington?
  • Pimms

Wow! Bear really gets around! I agree, he seems to really LOVE travelling. Pimms has leg envy, he'd adore legs as long at Bear. Actually, our three year old niece says he doesn't have legs at all, just feet.
  • Jaime

Thanks for the welcome! Bear is so cool! I wish my corgi was a little bigger! Oh well I love her anyway!! :)
  • Amy Bohack

Hey Hey that's a Texas-style dog if I've ever seen one!
    Have a great day!

  • Liz

thanks for the welcome! and i love to see corgis with tails! i mean, the bunny butt is cute, but one of oliver's favorite pastimes is chasing his tail. i can't imagine how bored he would be without it. bear is a cutie! love that tail!!
  • Bryan, Jennifer and Savannah Martin

Thanks for the warm welcome! Bear is such a good looking dog. I love his coloring and fur!
  • Mindy

Bear is so handsome!! Let me know the next time you are coming though and we will arrange a meet up!
  • Suzette & Rueben Dog

Love his look! Any guesses what his mix is?
  • Suzette & Rueben Dog

That's great! He's really cute! I really love it when they have their own unique look. I created a group for all the Mixed Corgis. Come and join!
  • Kevin

I think me in Taters are both lucky to have each other in are lives
  • Kimbro

No he is a scaredy cat... lol. Thanks for the welcome!

  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

  • Cathlin Barry

I'll try but I'm not real good at photo editing. Microsoft Photo Editor says this photo is 6.82 x 5.12 inches, so here goes . . .
  • Cathlin Barry

Well, that worked. Now if I could figure out how to remove the photos I put on already and replace them with bigger ones, I would!
  • John Wolff

It's nice to see a corgi with a tail! Sometimes mutts make *the best* dogs -- I can think of several of my favorites, just rescued from the pound -- and y'know what? It was my bro & sis-in-law's dog, Lady, a corgi/retriever, who first inspired Lori (my better half) to research corgis. Lady looked a lot like Bear in shape and coat, but was all red.
  • Jessica

Thank you! I'll go over right now and join :)
  • Karen

Your story is truly inspirational!! Thanks so much for the warm welcome. You have a lovely canine family. :-)
  • John Wolff

The photo of bear in the tux is hysterical.

Y'know what you can do with the redeye in shots like that? Use a photoeditor to paste a big black dot over the redeyes. Then paste a tiny white spot on each pupil in the same relative place, so it looks like a reflection. Once you get the hang of it, it's really quick.

Do you let that guy drive? Corgis can do just about anything.
  • Matt & Hilliary

Haha, Hilliary loves DMB, I can't stand them, but we get by. We'll definitely be putting up tons of puppy pictures when we get him. Corgi puppies are one of those things that just make me melt, they're so adorable.
  • Jadie

hey there!!! im loving all of the photos of Bear on the dash of the truck. he is so precious!! he looks like a fluffy black bear!! ;o) Bear actually looks like a darker tubbier Mia with all the crazy hair but with slightly cuter ears. heh~

i think corgi mixes are just some of THE cutest dogs/animals ever! then corgi puppies then corgis asleep in awkward silly positions. ;o) Bear is very lucky to be part of your family!
  • Gia and me

Hi!!!!!! Nice dog!!!! l love that picture with mushroom!!!
  • Red Hot

It is, we dig her short hair. Bear is a rescue also, I see. It's nice to be blessed with such a wonderful dog.
  • Monty

thank you! i'm glad to find this corgi community and look forward to exploring it more!
  • Tauna and Kota

Thank you for your help!!! I appreciate it.
  • Anna

    HI, thank you!
  • Junbug

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Bear is a sweetie!
  • Cassie Morton

Ok, I thought my dogs were spoiled. I don't think mine have it that good. Don't get me wrong, peole are all the time telling me that they want to be my babies. I love the ones while riding on the dash. How priceless.
  • Melissa Bickham

    thank you! :)
  • Avyon

I just had to go through all your photos after seeing the werewolf pool one lol I loved all of them, it was like a little mini tour of the US :) What a lucky pup to be able to travel like that!
