My husband and I will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary on July 23, 2011! Have 2 human kids and 2 fur kids. I now have the four kids I've always wanted. :)
Name: Lance
Breed: Cardigan Welsh Corgi(Blue Merle)
Birthday: October 30, 2005.
Current Age: 8 1/2
RIP 5-3-14
Was an only dog for 5 years, but not anymore! Learning about sharing, I hear sharing is good. :) I have corgi buddies already so hopefully it wont be too hard to share with my brother.
Lance is a pure breed cardigan corgi, at the moment he may appear like he is not because his ears are floppy. Lance is dealing with auto immune issues and vasculitis of the ears which affects the blood flow in his ears.
Name: Tucker
Breed: Red and White Pembroke. Was rescued from the
shelter March 6, 2011
Birthday: October 12, 2007
Current Age: 6
Tucker is a sweetheart, seems quite comfy here. :) So glad to be out of the shelter. I was so sweet the first time I met my potential owners I gave them lots of corgi kisses, I stole their hearts. <3
Hi Natalie, right click on the video file, then go to properties, it should tell you how many mb there is. When the video is done uploading, it should say "work in progress". Afterwards, it should work after the conversion is done. Let me know if I can help.
Not a problem Natalie, anytime :) If you convert it to mp4, it should be small enough. There are some free programs out there that can help you to convert video files, google "handbrake" , that one is my favorite. Let me know if you experience any problem.
i am good....sick of snow, but hey, spence loves it! I loved your videos....lance looks so amazing in the snow with his white coat and his markings! I will try and jump into chat tonight!
Thanks, and no I havent, but I know he is very special and we are going to keep him. If you could help me figure out a name for him I would really appreciate it. Take Care and God Bless...
Thank you for the comment. Penny had a great birthday. We took her to Petco and she picked out some rawhide treats and a toy. Spoiled dog! Lance is a very handsome dog. And so is your pug!
Yo! Your Corgi is so beautiful! I love his eyes, they look awsome.. Well we havent really came up with anything yet. My husband says we should wait till he is older to see his personality and my boys(11 and 9yrs.old) want to call him some transformer name or a name off of sponge bob.lol. Well if you can help me out with a name that would be great. Will keep in touch God Bless..
Im going to get a pem for sure! Around June ill be moving to Florida and so ill get one around that time. I do have a few questions. Do corgis need to be walked a lot? I’ll be getting an apartment and I want to make sure that’s a yard is not needed. I got to say I think your corgi is one of the most beautiful corgis I have ever seen. I have never seen one with those color or fur and the eye color is amazing too.
Thanks for the note.. I missed the cut off date for the calendar. I really didn't even think about it until it was to late! Sam said he'll let me know for 2010 calendar. So I'll have to enter some then. Maybe Scooter and Lance will be in the calendar next year!!
Lance is so very cute. I love his blue eyes!! He red ears are really cute too! How do you keep him so white!! Scooter is normally white for oh maybe 2 days after a bath!!
Hi, I just wanted to tell you that we think Lance is gorgeous, his eyes and markings are so unique...we just love his coloring. We enjoyed all his pics, your page is very cool!
Her name is Juneaux--pronounced Juno, but I got a little carried away with the spelling, lol! As a matter of fact, we're going to check out some red/white boys tomorrow, and I wanna name him Rockeaux (Rocko), but my husbands not liking it:( I don't think I've ere seen such a pretty Cardi! I love Pems, but if I saw a Cardi like yours, I'd buy him in a hearbeat! Have you ever tried putting him in "dog modeling"--he'd look awesome in a magazine.
Hey, Cody pops a ball at least once a month so that is what Walmart is for. She would be so sad without a ball to chase around the yard. Its the best exercise in the world.
Bella says hellow back. We've been good. Its been nice not to have a winter, although bella does miss the snow. Except now its a cold front of 35 and we can't use the water and people have on down coats, gloves, scarves...blows my mind. hope everything is well with you guys.
Hi Natalie...my husband and I watched Lance's 2 snow videos the other night. Too cute!!!! We also love his new profile pic; his eyes are such a startling blue. They really grab your attention.
Yes, I am tired of winter now...we have had so many snowstorms this year; more than last I think. Also it had gotten warmer for about a week and now it is heading down into extrememly cold temperatures again. We had a pipe freeze the last time. Makes me edgy to leave the house.
I saw one night in chat that you had tripped over something. You sound like me. When i was in the hospital with L last week, I tripped over a wheel on a hospital bed (well they had it sticking out the wrong way and we were in a small room). Anyway, I crashed on top of a sink and then fell to the floor. 3 nurses came running and L was just about to have day surgery. Well I have a broken rib and in a lot of pain. Last night i found a lump on my breast ( i think it is caused my the fall). am on anti-inflammatories.
On Sunday I was starting to feel a tiny bit better so went for a walk with L. He had his arm through mine so I wouldn't fall. Well, we were walking on ice under the snow and all of a sudden I can feel him starting to fall. In my mind I was saying "Oh no" and then he dragged me down and I fell on him and then popped off and my back hit the ice hard. So i ended up reinjuring myself. We couldn't get up and laid there for several minutes and laughed. Later we weren't laughing as the pain set in.
A few minutes earlier, Butter headed over a steep cliff (leading down to the sea). Everything is covered by snow. I had warned L to keep him away from the cliff because he loves to fly down them. Well he went over so fast...and then cut stuck about 2-3 feet down in very deep snow. He looked frantic as he was trying to get back to us and couldn't. I couldn't rescue him...neither of us could get to him.
So L made a lassoo with the leash, got it around his neck and started pulling his fat little 55 pound body up the cliff. I was screaming "Let him go, you're going to choke him". Anyway, he did get him up...I don't think there were any other options and thankfully he is ok.
Do you know what he did when we were both lying on the ground....came and licked L's face. He is such a help in an emergency (not)
We did have a few good laughs over everything. It was the "misadventures of Joy, Laurence and Butter"
Haha, hi Lance & Natalie! =) I carried him up on there (some people are probably thinking… OMGG) I think he was actually too scared to move, but he's such a brave boy and managed to smile while I was snapping pictures. I let him walk a little on the ledge, then my heart started beating really fast so I carried him down. =D
I have the calendar here at work and one sealed at home!
Lance is a very handsome corgi, in case I haven't said so already! That pug is adorable too. Bailey loves pugs. In puppy class, he and this pug puppy used to just lay on the floor and lick each others' face. We instantly dubbed the pug (named Mercedes) his girlfriend for the remainder of the class. Hahaha. =)
We still have him I am trying to redo my pictures a bit and put some updated ones, I just keep getting side tracked, :D lol. Levi is finally getting much better about other people, he even goes up to my husband on his own now for pets. And has decided lately that he is a lap dog, which is big for him, even though he has always let me pet him and stuff he hasn't been a cuddler. He had a no hugging or kissing policy which seems to have been lifted. It is great to see him making so much progress. Now if I can just convince him that he doesn't need to bark at the cat or the neighbors dog. Oh well one thing at a time.
I love the pics of Lance with the pug, KC obsolutely hates pugs, everytime she sees one she tries to attack it. I don't know why, to my knowledge one has never done anything to her lol. Maybe it is the nose.
I love the photos of Lance and the pug. I love pugs..we used to have black ones. They are so opposite looking...pugs and Cardigans. Pics are so cute!! Joy :)
Not yet, as we are working on the job search first, then home, then Furbaby :0) I honestly was never more than a lab lover, and then my mother-in-law got this wonderful Cardi and I just fell in love. Can't wait! Would you be able to reccomend any breeders when the time comes? By the way, your little pal has a beautiful coat and eyes and looks like the joy of your life - enjoy!
Yep, come to think about it, my mother-in-law did have a great breeder she worked with, and I think I will get the info from her - thanks for your thoughts. Hello to Lance!
Hi Natalie and Lance!
I am taking Spencer to the Spa for a nail trim and Judy is going to show me the party rooms available and give me prices. I read a post on the Chicago Corgi owners page here that some folks want to get together. So, I will keep you posted...it might be fun to try and organize something. If we get enough people, the cost would not be much, I wouldn't think.....
Hey Nat...How are you? I just got your message because I haven't been on in a few days. I will try to catch up with you later!
Happy "Heart" Day tomoroow!!!!
Hi Natalie,
Thanks for the suggestion regarding the treats at a meetup. I would not have food laying around. And, as far as the whole treat thing goes, I know I am picky when it comes to what kind of treats Spence gets.
Hi Natalie and Lance! I see you are online but where are you???? I just saw Tauna's post about her truck fire....that's to bad! How is she doing?
Hope to catch up with you soon...heading to bed!
Jillie got her stitches out today, she did great ...Yah!
