About Me:
I live in the country and love animals so I have a variety of dogs(2 of my own corgis, Wynn and daughter Sage)2 rescues,a corgi mix and an Aussie) cats and free range chickens. I am lucky because I get to work close to my home and my dog(s) get to come with me...My husband and I have grown children and several beautiful grandchildren who love to visit and play with the animals. My love for Corgis started when I went to pick a female Corgi and Wynn picked me... he proceeded to walk up to me, lay his tiny little head on my foot and fall asleep.Wynn still parades around my house with one of my shoes and I always have to "look" for my shoe before I can leave...I did a Corgi rescue April (08) I felt like I wanted to help other Corgis...wow what an experience and I learned a lot. I also do corgi rescue when needed..Jackson now lives with Jennifer Markley. Calvin my Cardigan rescue lives with Joanna and Rainy my own Pembroke was rehomed and lives with Joanna's parents where she can be the "princess" and have her own people!
Welsh Corgi Breeder?

About My Corgi(s):
I have 4 Corgis.Wynn is my male Corgi that started this obsession with Corgis and he is now 9. Wynn's daughter Sage is 3 and a Therapy Inc.dog that often travels with me.Wiley my rescue is also about 8. Teddy my other rescue is about 11. Armani is my Aussie who thinks and acts like a corgi! Tank is a 4 year old Corgi mix. We decided to adopt him instead of another Corgi because he had already been in 3 homes at 1 year of age. He can run for hours in our groves and wear off his energy and is such a sweet boy. 1/2.

Welcome! We have three corgis. Two rescue and one baby we purchased. One day I would love to be in the country with a whole field of them. LOL!!! I am envious!

Why thank you! Although I have to say, whatever she becomes will fulfill my wishes, since she has already - in just a few days! - been an amazing part of my life.

Your own Corgi pack is adorable and looks so well-taken care of. I'm impressed to see such a dedicated Corgi mama, and motivated to do even better with my own pup. :)
  • Dolores G. Russell

Love your page the corgis seem to be so happy.
  • Ginny and Diggory

Thanks for sharing your pictures. Your corgis are beautiful!

    Hi Jane,

You have a great Corgi family. The babies a sooooo cute. How often do you have litters? I was born in Redwood Falls and grew up in Lamberton. My parents operated photography studios in Lamberton and Springfield. I've lived in the Winona / La Crescent , MN. area for the last 40 years
  • Beth

Hi Jane. I was going to send a private message but couldn't figure out how! I want you to know I am sorry for my role in the food thread getting out of hand. I respect your opinions and your knowledge, and agree with many of the things you say. So, very sorry!
  • Deb , Gretzky, and Norman

    Hi Jane,
Thank you so much for the information on Lick Guard. If he continues to lick today I am going to find some.
I have another question for you. Since you are a breeder, what are the various types of Corgis and what are their traits? I am familiar with just one and would like to know about the others.
  • Deb , Gretzky, and Norman

    Cardigans have tails, right?

Are there special names for the sable colored ones and the multi and black ones?

Are there different personality traits between a Caridgan and a Pembroke?
  • Edward and Gemima

Hi Jane, we are also in Mn. Edward and Gemima had to comment on your lovely pictures!!! I have to be careful or I too will end up with a 5 Corgi family!!! I just love my two sooooo much!!! How far away is Comfrey from Rochester????
  • Edward and Gemima

yep, I found Deb too!!! I know exactly where Owatonna is. Did you have bad weather over your direction this Summer?? Our lake is not up North, surprisingly it is Lake Zumbro, it has been very clean this year with our cooler weather and the dogs have a blast out there! Are you going to submit a photo for the 2010 calender??? you should!!!
  • Edward and Gemima

Jane, I would have a tough time picking just one that I like!! Good Luck with that!! My favorites so far are the one with, is it Wynn yawning??? and the one with the 5 of them all lined up so cute!!!
  • Edward and Gemima

I bet you have lots of fun with all the room for the Corgis to run and play!! I recently saw an ad in our paper for a pygmy goat and wanted to get her so bad, but my husband just shakes his head at me!! No room for that, so you are lucky as well!!! By the way how do you get your captions on your pictures?? Is it a program you have??
  • Edward and Gemima

OK, thanks I'll try it out and see if I have any luck!! That's so funny about your goats, what are their names???? Joey and.....
  • Edward and Gemima

Hey Jane, I have a huge cup of coffee right now after a busy weekend!!!! I'm so glad Alice is fine, she sounds so funny charging Wynn and all!!!
  • Edward and Gemima

Yep we have Dunn Bros, Caribou, Starbucks, you name it!!! No wonder I'm so hyped up all the time!! Ha,Ha! I'd definitely love to see a pic of Alice and all your other cuties!!!!!!
  • Deanna

Jane, we're not on each other's friends' page -- yet -- accept request, and then we can email back and forth through MyCorgi!
  • Beth

Thanks for the nice comment on the thread!

We just came back from looking at an adult. We may be trying her in our home, so I'll be the one needing advice pretty soon!
  • CJ Rostad

After visiting your page again...I see that our kids have a great deal in common. 5 of anything is a lot...You are inspiring!
  • Robin & Gordon

Haha, thank you! His "cousin" the German Shepherd was obsessed with him! I don't think he has ever seen anything that small!

Also, thank you for your input on our puppy situations. We figured it was probably normal, but what better place to ask? :)
  • Vicki and Christina Brown

Beautiful Corgi's Jane. I loved all your photos. Thank you for sharing.
  • Deanna

The Story of Dooley-- Oh, my goodness! I don't mean to make you all cry! I certainly hope they're tears of happines. I want you all to be happy for Dooley! His saga is continuing every day, as He's the Hero! His story is such a wonderful one that I just can't help writing about him in a way that will cause everyone who has read the blogs to fall in love with him as well.
  • Angel, Holly, & Mere

thanks for the welcome! i am excited! my dad told me about the site!
  • Kristen

Thanks for your comments on Poppit. It is amazing how adaptable animals can be with respect to their handicaps. Poppits success is her own. I'm just here to see her blossom. Sounds like your home is as full as mine...even though our Children are grown. It will be a while before I have grandchlidren though!
  • Liz Lutz

Thanks for the congrats! I really thought it would be harder than it was. With the right food portions, Hills Rx food, and plenty of exercise, the pounds just shed off. I wish it was that easy for humans- ha ha.
  • Tammy

Thank you for the comment. Your fur-children are cute!! Corgis are such a joy in my life and I would not own another breed!!!
  • Priscilla Alba

Awww I soooo want a female that looks like your Livvy!
  • Priscilla Alba

It really is a shame that I live so far. But I'm crazy enough to drive to Minnesota! LOL It's just so hard to find what my heart is set on here in the NYC metro area. Looks like I'll have to sacrfice something but one thing I know for certain is that I want my pup to have a tail.
  • Priscilla Alba

Sounds like a good plan so keep me in mind lol! Road trips are always exhausting but cool :o)
  • Jasmine and Chloe

Thank you for the warm welcome! Chloe thanks you too.
  • Linda Moffet

  • Deb , Gretzky, and Norman

    Hi Jane,

Sorry it's taken me so long to thank you for all the information you gave me on Corgis.
We were camping this week-end in De Soto, Wisconsin and met a little Corgi names Rosie that came from your place! She was sweet as can be. Rosie and her new family live not far from here in Wisconsin. Gretzky greeted her but was more interested in continuing his walk. I just couldn't wait to get home to tell you we met her. I have added a few photos on my page.
  • Deb , Gretzky, and Norman

Yes, that's Rosie with Gretzky in two of the photos and one of her alone. She was very friendly.
  • Rosie & Sport

Haha. Yes. I cry with everything having to do with that little guy.
  • Chris and Andrew

Thank you for your kind welcome and friend request. (I am still trying to figure out how to accept)
  • Chris and Andrew

    Hi Jane.
According to the foster mom, Jeter came from Nebraska. But they don't know more or his days before being Nebraska.
  • Deanna

Good morning, Jane! I think your petition is a wonderful way to put the pressure on whoever is overseeing the situation of the puppy mill. However, because I work for elected officials in my state, part of my Code of Ethics and Responsibility in my job does not allow me to publicly sign petitions that may reflect support for laws and/or viewpoints that differ from the laws in my state that my judges are sworn to uphold. It's a very fine line I have to walk. I truly wish I could help out. Have you contacted your local SPCA / HSUS Shelters to invite their participation?
  • Corgi lover! (Misty)

  • Deanna

Keep up the hard work, Jane!
  • Dessiree Barnes

Thank you for the welcome! :]

Corn fields and flat land? Sounds like heaven, plus 10%...

    flatland dreaming

    I'm from Duluth.
  • John Wolff

"...nothing like the woods up north>"
That is true. The mountain and beach terrain out here has its spectacularity, but the subtle beauty of the midwestern deciduous forest is lacking. The bird life, for instance, does not hold a candle. And the Puget Sound Basin is tragically overcrowded (I've listed my address as 'Los Angeles del Norte' for years, and everybody knows what it means).
Like Garrison Keillor says, I'm waiting for my return visa to Minnesota...
  • Deb , Gretzky, and Norman

My Son-in-Law is a hockey fan and played hockey himself so, yes, Gretzky is named after the famous player. He is the one that picked Gretzky from the litter in 2002. By the way, I enjoyed your photos from the Renaissance Festival. Also, if you're ever near La Crescent again please let me know. I'd love to meet you and any of your dogs.
  • Simon & Anne

Thank You! Corgis are the most photogenic animals! Yours are beautiful!
  • Sky and Lyla

I see you have an Aussie with your Corgis too! I think they are a great combination together. I have one of each. As much as I love my Corgi, I have to admit, Aussies are my favorite (Corgis are definitely #2 though). I would like to one day get a show-quality Aussie and show in conformation and hopefully breed.
