I have a dedicated love for the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. These mighty dogs in their little packages are highly intelligent, sturdy, loyal and quite entertaining. I breed the Corgi for ideal standards and great personalities. All my dogs live in the house w/me and are a part of the family.
All my Low Rider's have Champion pedigree's and go threw testing requirements to promote a healthy sound Corgi. I look for smooth movement, flat toplines, great expression, thick sturdy bone, and most importantly..MIND! My dogs get the utmost of care and love and expect the same from any puppy buyers. All my Low Rider's are fed Eukanuba and Sentinel given monthly. My puppies are raised in the home w/my family and are socialized several times a day. I have an AKC Registered Veterinarian who I have a wonderful relationship w/and handles all of the care on my Low Rider adults and pups. Puppies have their nails trimmed every week w/dewormings starting at 2 wks of age and every other wk. following the initial deworming along w/vaccinations at 6 wks before going to their new homes at 8 wks of age. All puppies are sold on a Limited Registration unless references are provided and I feel your worthy of an Open Registration. Contracts per agreement will be signed before releasing said dog. I will allow my studs to service a very selective few outside females upon my evaluation of said females and a health certificate from a veterinarian. I have acquired a Kennel License for my county which allows the county and city to come unannounced to inspect my kennel, and of course AKC. I have also acquired a Vendor's License which makes me pay taxes on my dogs. As a breeder, I feel it is my duty to educate any new owner and be there for the life of any puppy I produce and place.
Wendy, I saw it posted on the Corgi Group and sent the link to S Cal Corgi Rescue. I also alerted other Corgi owners. Pasadena is about 3+ hours from here. The phone number is missing a number...but it won't be hard to find. Poor little guy..the Corgi Rescue in S Cal is a really good one. Thanks for the heads up as I don't always read the Corgi lists completely...I'm on the DM and Corgis on Wheels as well. oxo pb
Yes, but isn't that how that guy with the pictures of the Weimaraners got started? I think his name is Wegman. Such fun to put the dogs in "people pictures." (c:
Wendy, don't even know about the Cyber Fostering on FB. I noticed you sent me a link to Corgis.com...for professionals! I do not consider myself a breeder or professional. Yes, I've had the experience with horses and dogs...but that was years ago for dogs.
Congratulations......You must really be one tired lady....How many pups are we speaking about? Are they all asked for? I admire your spunk...and remember what it is like having a house full of adorable babies...and what a house full you must have. Good luck with all of them.....Anxious to hear how you all are doing....Marion
What a wonderful wonderful site you have. Thank you for welcoming me. There's a whole Corgi world out there, isn't there?
My goodness! It was fun reading your updates. I've got to find more time to spend on-line! Happy Thanksgiving.
Lisa
Gigi sure does look like one of your Corgi's. I noticed that the other day when I was looking at all of your wonderful photos. Wonder if they have anyone in common in their background?
Thanks for the warm welcome. Beautiful pups, all smiles I see. Great corgi poses too... the flying corgi made me laugh out loud and start singing the superman theme in my head
So glad that you have a home for all the pups.....What fun it is to have all those babies and get to watch them develop their personalities....I remember those days. Hope the Moms are doing well....Did you have a good Thanksgiving? I had a great one....My grandson came to visit and we just did all kinds of amazing things. Now the Corgis and I are getting ready for Christmas. They are always excited to get more Turkey and have more company. Hey, I have tried the new vacuum shedder by bissell....it has the ability to fit most vacuums and does a darn good job. You use it on the dog and it combs the coat and vacuums the hair in one swift move. I was amazed how much hair I had in the vacuum bag and how comfortable the dogs were with it. Merry and Sammy both seemed to actually like it.
Love all your photos, not enough time to look at them all at once. Taking the low riders to the school was a great idea. It looks like the kids got a great deal out of it. we need more people like you, committed to taking the best care possible of their dogs and contributingto the community. All the best, Paula & Taffy. PS.Taffy has had his summer haircut, looks like a pup again!
Hi, and thanks for the welcome! Can I say how impressed I am with your family and website!? My question is how do you get that many Corgi's in a pose? The romantic pictures are the cutest I've ever seen.
I've had Timer for 13 years. I got him at 8 months. It is so hard to see him age. We have put in a ramp to the front door because he is having problems with steps. Even though he has slowed down tremendously, he is still my baby.
I must admit, it does sound like you have a lot on your plate....Loved the puppy pictures...makes me yearn for puppy breath....I think that you will like the Bissell vacuum shedder, cost around $30....it attaches well to my vaccuum and I just cannot believe the amount of hair it takes out....No, it does not leave them naked, although I am continuously amazed that they aren't....Where does all that hair come from anyway. Both my dogs are luxuriating on the sunporch, even though it is a rainy day...chewing on their big bones from our local supermarket. Oh for a dog's life...at least pampered dogs. I finally got the Christmas tree up and decorated and the Corgi stockings hung by the fireplace...I might have everything done by the time company arrives. Marion
Hi Wendt or is it Wendy? Do they still chop off their tails and why? My boy has a lovely tail, especially after his summer haircut. he hardly looks like a corgi without his thick coat.
What a chuckle I got from the barking puppy....That would be the one I would love....Just the nerve to bark during pictures.....Glad you recovered from your shock....I still have to get my Christmas shopping done....house is decorated....Thank heavens....We are currently being rained in.....at least the dogs don't want to go out and play in the rain...they are quite happy on the sunporch with their bones....yesterday Merry managed to cop both bones and poor Sammy sure did look forlorn...Threatened to tell the dog police on Merry, but she really didn't care....the deed was done. I am so blessed that Sam is a good natured fellow and does not fight for the bones....I haven't decided what to get them for Christmas yet...well, for that matter I haven't decided what to get anyone yet...suppose I had better quite dallying and take care of the gifts starting today...internet shopping here I come.
hi thanks for stoping by hope you and your family had a good thanks giving have a great day even if its snowing up state new york thats winter for ya take care your friend laura
Ho Ho Ho and let there be snow....maybe for us this weekend....but I don't really count on it....yesterday's high almost 70 and today we are working to reach 50....I must admit that Merry and Sammy are not lovers of a rain downpour. They look so unhappy that I just can't wait to get them back in the house. Wonder or wonders....last night I had 9 deer in my front yard. Big and Small....what a sight....They stayed a long time, just eating the plants around my lamp post. My neighbor had a fox in her yard yesterday...No we don't live in the country...but I starting to think that maybe I should move that way. Merry, Sammy and I had company for hot chocolate and cookies last night...you guessed it...the dogs loved every minute and didn't mind a small treat or two that the guests snuck their way. Isn't Christmast and exciting season?
I LOVE the gallery of photos on your site! I think it would be sooooo hard for me to be a breeder because I am afraid that I would fall in love with every pup and not want to actually sell the dog to anyone. How do you do it? How many corgis are part of your permanent family?
Also, I am curious if there is anything that can be done to minimize the amount of shedding. My friends are taking care of my Corgi until I can find a job and a permanent place to live. They love my dog but complain about the amount of hair he shed. Any suggestions?
I love the photos on your site! How do you manage to breed the corgis and part with them if they all live inside your home? I think I would fall in love with each and every pup and NOT want to place them with anyone no matter how much money someone gave me. How do you do it without becoming attached to each cute puppy? Curious.
Jocelyn
I love the autumn pictures! Just stopped by for a corgi picture 'pick me up'! Love the puppy pictures too - I just can't get enough! Happy holidays from me and Algy!
Here we go....Saturday they are forecasting six to twelve inches of snow for us. I know the corgis will love that. It is so unusual for us to have snow and 6 to 12 inches will be a surprise. I do remember one year when I lived in Williamsburg, Va. we had 17 inches. What...you say we are having global warming. Not for our area...we are cold this year.
I have used the saline nasal spray also....I thought it helped and know that it helped the muscus that develops in the throat. We are expecting a light dusting of snow here tonight. I don't think that it will be enough for Merry and Sammie to really play in. Yesterday our yard looked like a bird paradise.....we had cardinals, blue jays, sparrows and a red headed woodpecker picking up berries and nuts from the trees. I kept the dogs in until the birds had their fill...just didn't have the heart to let them chase all those birds. I keep kicking around the idea of getting another dog....but am not sure that I want to travel with three dogs all the time and am a little uncertain about one of them becoming left out of the pack....hate to disturb the happy arrangement we have now. What do you know about degenerative myelopathy? There is a swab test to see if a dog carries the gene, but I hadn't heard about it until the other day when it popped up on the internet.....Wondered how prominent it is in the Corgi breed. Sammie, Merry, and I wish you a very Happy New Year....So glad that all the puppies will be in wonderful homes....
Your dogs look so much like my little guy I'm nearly tearing up. I have a question for you with regards to the possible lineage of my tricolor Yardley, sometime when you have a minute. Can lymphoma be a result of improper breeding...?
