My husband and I live in the panhandle of Florida with our two corgis.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
We had two very spolied cardigan corgis - AJ (Mother) and JR (Son). They had us trained well! We got AJ from a wonderful breeder in Havana Florida and when she had a litter of puppies we kept our JR. We lost both of our beloved babies in 2012.
Our recent addition are Missy and Sammy. Missy is from our original breeder in Havana, Florida and our Sammy is from a great breader around Ocala, Florida.
Thanks for the complement on PJ the Pyr, we think he is quite handsome. My dogs are not dog aggressive at all (unless you consider keeping the coyotes away from the livestock), they all get along extremely well. I have always been into dog behavior, and do many things similar to what Cesar Milan does to maintain a harmonious pack. Looks as though I have found a puppy, I talked to the breeder for almost an hour this morning, and said I would discuss with her tomorrow the details!! She is gorgeous, a tri-colored 4 month old (exactly what I was looking for!!!) Wish us luck and will post a pic when it is a done deal. Love this site!! Your babies are dolls!!
Hi Michelle, im going to try wilf on your diet of green beans and cottage cheese but i was wondering if you could give me some idea as to weights of the tins or tubs? Thank you
Thanks for that, weve been trying to get Wilfs weight down for the past 9-10 wks now but when we called at the vets last night he had put on another 2 kgs!!! He now weighs 20 kgs and hes only 9 months so we are worrying
Hi Michelle, had Wilf to the vet tonight and he has lost a kilo WAHOO. We are so pleased with him ,he is coming on leaps and bounds. We can tell hes getting slimmer and stronger because he can stand on his back legs for longer when hes playing tug of war with his dad. Thanks again for your advice.
Hey Michelle, thanks for the compliments on my two cardigans, Kai and Luna. Yours are adorable, as well - and I see that one of yours "sits pretty" like my Kai does, too. Curious - did you teach him/her that? Kai came to us doing that from our breeder in Kissimmee, and we love him for his special trick. Kai is my "big boy" a black and white, while Luna is a blue girl.
Hey Michelle - thanks AGAIN! Kai is doing much better, still on drugs, but healing and Luna is finally allowed to lick him all over, so she's happy, too. These Cardi's are phenomenal dogs - hearts of gold! I see you're a member of "fat corgi's" - I was joking with the vet that Kai needs gastric bypass surgery! Your dogs look very happy and content, and oh so cute!
You are so right - I've used every excuse for Kai - big boned, muscular, etc. he's just HUGE! Last year our new years goal was to be under 40 lbs - he was 44. he got to 40 - at the vets for the Akita attack - with no increases in food, and just as much exercise as usual - he weighs - r u ready - 49 lbs - he's going in the opposite direction! But he has a waist, is very muscular and the vet says he's healthy, but if i dared post his weight anywhere here, my gooodness, the comments, I'd get.... He's just a big, big boy, in need of gastric bypass! and he's killing my back picking him up all the time for these vet visits!
Thank you. Those were taken at our old house. The new house has terrible soil an dnothign grows so I am unable to reproduce the iris beds and the rose garden. Quite a bummer, but I still have my precious kids who now have more room to run!!!
My vet believes that Kylie has DM but is not sure. Will Glucosomine help DM? I thought he would mention it if that was the case. I have never mentioned it, but have wondered? Please let me know, we are running out of things that are working fast!
Thanks Michelle on your comments about Wilf. He seems really happy and his weight has come down quite well. I dont think we will ever get him down to a show weight as he is a big dog with huge paws and he is walked/run two hours a day, more at weekends so we are happy with him. Thanks once again for all your past advice it helped lots!!!
Thank you Michelle that was very sweet of you. Your boy is very handsome too. Hope you receive this as I'm not sure how I got here. Duh!
Do you ever get to Atlanta for the shows?..Dolores & Jimmy
Hi Michelle, who is your breeder perhaps I know her. Jimmy & I are going to the shows in Greenville next weekend & she might be there. There will be 41 cardis on Sat. & 38 on Sun. bet you could get your fix there. LOL
Hi, Sophie is doing really well and we are still trying to get her down one more pound. She was to have already had the hip surgery but we held off until we can get her to approx. 26-28 lbs. Yes! It has been extremely hot and sticky...humidity much too high. We did get rain today and brought our temp down quite a bit. What a relief! How are your furry friends?
Hi, just wondering if your little girl is still coughing? Hope it isn't anything serious. Max had a GI upset over the weekend..ate another wild mushroom. He just loves them and before I could get to him, he swallowed! Sometimes I think it is a game with him. The things are all over the place so no use trying to get rid of them!
Hi Michelle, We have wood in all living areas (including kitchen) and tile in laundry room and baths. We love the wood and have had no problems with it. So much easier to get the dog hair! We have Southern Red Oak (not stained) just natural. The wood is not pre finished but if I was doing it over, I would get the pre finished. What we have required sanding and sanding again and then 3 coats of sealer (which smells to high heaven!) But, LOVE the wood.
Glad your little one is better. I'm sure the heat can affect them. Thanks for the tip on the yogurt. Will stock up. This is not the first time Max has done this and probably won't be the last! If he only knew that the mushroom had made him feel so bad!
Forgot to tell you Michelle, we purchased the wood in Dothan at Howell wood products. They did sell directly to us and we found a really good floor contractor to do the floors. We save some $ by picking up the wood. As for accidents, none. The dogs don't seem to have a problem walking or even RUNNING..as long as we keep their nails trimmed. Since we try to take them to be groomed at the vet at least once a month, this is no problem.
I looked through your photos and you are so right! (Funny, I think I've found a "cousin" to my blue Silas on here too! :D) Your brindles are adooooorable.
Barnaby and Boo Boo look very similar (especially the one photo of you holding Boo @ 5 months, Barnaby is a big Cardi too!). We got Barnaby from breeders Cindy Bossi and Paula O'Donnell. Cindy is from North Carolina, and Paula is from South Florida. (Two wonderful women.) I pulled out Barnaby's papers to see if Boo Boo and Barnaby might be related. Here goes:
Dad — Am/Can Ch. Shadowalk Trademark
Mom — Ch. Baewyn Telltail Porsche (Going back a little further we also have Chandler-Pluperfect)
Finn is very food motivated. That's how I got him to sit for the the picture on the bench as well as any pictures I have where he's wearing clothes or masks. He's really a good sport. I wanted to have some professional pics taken for Christmas cards.
Aww thanks for the great comments!!! Edward got neutered yesterday so I'm playing nurse to him a little today! All in all you'd never know anything happened except for the incision!
Thanks! This is actually an old picture, he is 3 now. This was just the first one I could find when making the profile last night. Both of your Cardigans are beautiful!
yes they did play well. now i am looking forward to florida hopefully beating bama at the championship game.
if you are ever in auburn. let me know.

Thank you, Michelle, for your welcome and appreciation for my service. I have no idea how that old Navy service picture defaulted on this profile. I have since changed my pic to one of my Corgi Girl, Tess
