We are in love with Welsh Corgis. We presently own 2. Edward is our baby and Gemima(Gem) is our watchful big sister. They are truly intelligent and loyal, they accompany us to the lake cabin and camping here in MN. They love boating and are all around our special companions. We can't imagine life without them.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Edward is a character. He is always coming up with goofy new quirks like chasing after bats at our lake or digging for moles in our yard(not so funny) Gem is our watchful big sister. She knows what to do when Edward misbehaves and is a good helper. She loves the lake and doing jobs around the house like helping to garden and watch Edward.
Dear Ed and Gem: You sure look cool in your Viking wear! We have not recovered from the dumb antlers NanMom used last month. NanMom is going to corgi Cooper's house for the Super Bowl party. Rumor is that Linus is invited, too. I personally think that is just wrong. Anyway, I get to go to my first ever flyball lesson next Friday evening. They have never met anydog like me. Corgi high fives from Tasha (Bear is too busy sitting on the Sunday paper and Linus is playing with his corgi truck set)
Sorry about that Gem and Eddie! My husband Allan was choked about that loss also. He said Favre made a bad play at the end...hmmm. Well, enjoy the Superbowl anyhow, if you can.
Oh my Eddie and Gem! We are sincerely sorry that the Vikings did not have a good weekend. We still think your Viking wear is fabulous. Oh, the antlers!!!!! I am referring to the brown felt antlers with small golden baubles and green holly. NanMom thought we would sit still for that one. Ha ha ha ha..... Later guys! Tasha, the good communicator
Last night we can home to Tenby sound asleep on the coffee table. Chepstow was just beside himself. Chepstow kept telling us I told him not to get on it. Chepstow said he wants to live with some one like Gem. A corgi that knows manners and follows the rules. He thinks his wild and crazy tri brother is just to far gone!! Things would be so boring without the boys.
Chepstow says he would love a nice little vacation with a responsible Corgi like Gem. He says you can send the little goofball to stay with Tenby. Sound like they were made for each other. I can just imagine the trouble and funny things those two could get in.
The behavior that Chepstow hates the most.... is when drinking from the water bowl Tenby just walks away, dripping across the floor. Chepstow never drips and the look he gives Tenby is pure disgust. Chepstow really likes your idea of a quite nap and a lot less drama at meal time.
We are having a true Minnesota weekend....10 inches of snow on the ground....most of it still on my driveway...and it is a long one. Temps in the teens....I have done some shoveling, but must say I am out of practise and have to tackle it is stages....small ones...Sam and Merry can only get through this snow by leaping.....they look like 4 legged kangaroos.....We are Viking fans!!
Not sure what is the secret to longevity. But Guiche would suggest lots of treats (although the treats are rationed when he's not paying attention) and many long walks (even in the cold)! Pampering and spoiling is never discouraged! - Bob
Hi Edward and Gemima!! We love seeing MN neighbors as well! I got Sully from a breeder is Waverly Mn. He is just a ham. I can't imagine my life without him!
your babies are beautiful!! i call mine Gem for short too. Corgi's are one of a kind and have so much charisma and emotions don't they? i just love the breed!
Massage....that does sound good....Our weather is supposed to go down hill around noon...time will tell...Merry eats the frozen snow chunks....Sam thinks she is nuts...good luck with your weather. Marion
Gem.....I was so happy that you wanted to be my Valentine. You are such a lovely lady. We have so much in common and I love the way you dress up. I must admit I was a little nervous waiting for your answer. I would love to share my treats and frosty paws ice cream with you anytime. Maybe some day we can meet, but until then you are in my dreams.
With love, Chepstow
Dear Gem,
My brother woke everyone up this morning at 6AM (barking) because "HE" wanted to get up. That is so rude!!! I am sure you love to sleep in as much as I do.
Love, Chepstow
Hi and thanks for your kind welcome. Gromit's all boy; a little rowdy, a little loud. His coat is longer than standard but not a fluffy as there are no "feathers" on his legs or ears. Some people call it a "glamor coat."
Your tri puppy there reminds my of my late great pal, Watson. :-)
Dear Gem,
Sorry I haven't written. My Aunt Mindy from Spokane is visiting for 2 weeks. I have been sleeping with her and it is so nice not having my brother rolling around all night. I love to chase balls also BUT someone throws them for me and I always bring it back and wait for the next throw. We had some snow this morning and I chased Tenby all around the yard. Hope you are keeping warm, Love Chepstow
Dear Gem,
I am glad your Dr visit went well. I don't mind going to the Dr either, the staff always gives such good kisses and hugs. It makes getting those darn shots a little more tolerable.
You are so lucky to have "girls", I think it would be so much fun. My mom says we had little girls a long time ago, way before me. We do have a "grand boy" but he is only 2 and lives in NYC. The best part....he is just the perfect size to sneak kisses on the lips. I get told not to lick his face but I think he likes it. When he gets older I think he will like to play ball with me. I sometimes get into a little trouble because when he runs I chase him. I guess I do get excited and jump at him but it is my job to keep him with the family herd. We are going to visit Conner (that is the boys name) in a few weeks. I love to visit but don't enjoy the 12 hr car trip. Tenby is staying home with his Corgi friend Bandit so I will enjoy some peace and quite. Tenby doesn't get along with Conner's dog so he doesn't get to go. This summer we are going to some place called Michigan, I am sure I will not like that car drive.
Love, Chepstow
