About My Corgi(s):

Teddy was my first corgi and he was bluie tri and was born Nov. 27,2009, he died November 22. just a few days before his birthday :'( He was very kind and gentle. His favorite game was tug of war. He was always carrying his rope around to play lol. He was my little buddy.he loved kids and was in the middle of doing therapy before he passed. he really enjoyed making people happy.me and him had the strongest bond u could imagine and i felt truly blessed to have him in my life and miss him everyday. he truly left his mark on my heart. R.I.P i do have a new corgi now and his name is baden. he is fearless and crazy fun. he likes to get out and do things and be very active. he loves to be with people and play with other dogs at the dog park. at night he likes to lay on the couch with me so we can snuggle right before bed. he enjoys swimming just like how teddy did (R.I.P) which makes me smile every time. he is a good boy and will be your best friend the moment u meet him

I have:

    Hi Rebecca --

Thanks! and Teddy is adorable! Loved the photo of him with one ear up and one down -- Tinker's ears did the same thing at that age.
    Cheers,

This is so true! I discovered this site today as we were browsing online for local breeders in the search for a playmate for our girl, Tess! I'd love to have another one!

Teddy is soooo cute! Corgi's are the sweetest dogs. You will have lots of fun with him!
  • Mary and Rosie

Thanks ! Teddy is adorable! I love the picture you have of Teddy with his dachshund friend and two cat buddies. :D They are all so cute!
  • Roger/Laurie

Our tri is a real character, I think tri's have a extra wild and crazy gene. He looks so cute.
  • Debbie, Sadie & Joey

Hi! Thanks for your sweet comments about Joey. I saw you are having trouble with changing your pups food. My vet said to call the 800# on the pet food bag. I feed Iams brand which is what my vet recommends. She said to tell them what is happening and they will be very helpful. Might give it a try. What a lovely family you have :)
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

Thank you very much...your pup is adorable!!!!
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

They grow very fast. I always get anxious for them to grow to see the ending result but do miss the puppy stage too. We do that with our kids too. You think we'd learn not to rush things along. Is your pup a bluie?
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

The breed itself makes it very easy to fall so attached...how could you not? Glad he was so good at the vets. First experiences should be good ones..it sets a good solid path for the future of respect and manners. Some as they get older start to get alittle shy...be patient during those times..not all of them go through it but it can happen. Good luck with him. Where did you get him?
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

This is something I always tell my pup buyers since many are not aware of this. Though it would probably be okay to walk around the block or go to the festival to be absolutely sure he is fully covered you should wait 2 weeks after the vaccination of the 2nd series. It takes that long for the full affects on the immune system. Its only 2 weeks and I like to play it safe. Another thing...when I take my pups to the vet or out in public I don't allow other dogs to touch them or walk on the surfaces. Carry them. Its only for a short time and many animals at the vet go in sick and unvaccinated. People can walk one place and track into another.
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

Seems like your vet has a great set up..best to be cautious but not so cautious you stop living and alienating your puppy.
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

Your Welcome!! Listen to the hubby a little but don't let him know that you are....LOL

It's so cute that Teddy and Snoopy dug that hole together! Rosie is like Teddy and always works a little bit each day on any hole she digs until it is just right. It must be a corgi thing. =)
I love all the pictures you have of Teddy and Snoopy in the snow, they look like they are having so much fun! :D
  • Staci B & Howie

Thanks! Your doggies are so cute, too :) The military lifestyle can definitely be chaotic at times, so feel free to message me if u need some support. My boyfriend is currently on a work trip for like a week :( We're hoping he gets out of his travelling job soon!
  • Staci B & Howie

oh no! did he growl at you around his bowl or something? With Howie and with my last dog, I always had them sit while I poured the food and stay in the sit position for a minute or so before I put the bowl down. Maybe that will help?
  • Stephanie

    thanks for the nice note!

They are just so much fun and so loyal.

Hi there, yes I was in the USAF, stationed at McGuire AFB in NJ for 6 years...I just got out last June (thankfully). I was in Intel, and it had its ups and downs. You're in Charleston? How do you like it there? I've heard it's really nice, but never got to visit the base. Thanks for the comment, Molly and Layne are my world. Your babies are SO CUTE!

  • Rachel & Goldie

Also i really like that Blingee thing but is it a virus?

  • Scott Wiley

    Rebecca,
I am glad you like the videos that were put up , Gromit and doug did an awesome job putting stuff together. It is amazing that most people think that Corgis are lap dogs, we have to slow them down because they want to work, they just need guidance and let them go. I hesitate to put mor video on because it kinda makes some others videos look osrta lame and I do not want to tick anybody in the CORGI NATION off with the "my dogs better than your dog my dogs better than yours", I love all Corgis and I have never met a Corgi owner I did not like
  • Mary and Rosie

I'm so sorry for your loss. The short time pets spend with us can leave a lifetime of memories. My thoughts go out to you and your husband.
  • Scott Wiley

Rebecca, next time I get a chance I will get some more videos and post them.. I think that most Corgis still have the instincts to work if given the chance. What I like the most about Corgis is they can work and still be a lap dog and house dog. I have four of them sitting at my feet right now. Seeing your pictures of Teddy also remiinded me how good they are with kids too.
  • Bella Ball Corrolli

Thanks Rebecca! Teddy is a cutie! So happy looking :)
  • Alyssa & Chris W.

    Teddy is so cute. :o)
  • Mary and Rosie

I'm glad you liked the present. =)
Rosie had to go in for surgery to correct a luxating patella, one of the ligaments that was supposed to hold her kneecap in place wasn't doing its job. She was limping quite a bit, but now she is recovered from the surgery she doesn't limp at all! :D
  • Leasa

I love your little black faced guy!!
So glad you are experiencing the joy of a corgi :)

It's truly amazing how much they make me smile. I'm glad you have a cute baby too! Lots of fun! They are our kids. Is your husband with you or is he overseas?
  • Keri&Merlin(Judy&Alan's Pups)

Hey Rebecca Marie from northern ca!!Reading your story really made me nostalgic.I was a young Air Force bride myself at one time. The one thing you have that I couldn't at that time, was a corgi baby. The corgi I grew up with, was in Ca.while We
were sent overseas. He passed away before We came home.MY Hubby & I had 2 corgis of our own, then pups and now 2 more babies!!one will never be enough.
  • Leasa

those hubbys do put a damper on our fun dont they!! they are just like potato chips ya just cant have one! Maybe someday when you are in a 'forever' home site.
  • Mary and Rosie

I'm glad that you liked the gift. =)

  • Keri&Merlin(Judy&Alan's Pups)

in answer to your question about us going overseas?yes,we lived in aviano Italy for
3 yrs and that's where our son was born.We got sent to North Dakota after that.Glad you're enjoying the tour in service.Take care and love that corgi's cute
    pics!!
  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Hi Rebecca & Teddy, thanks for the Friend request. Military life can be challenging, I'm sure, so it's a fine thing that you have Teddy there to fill in the time when your husband has to put in long hours. Let your husband know that whether his job is simple or grand, there are millions of Americans out here that appreciate his service to the country and the sacrifices that you make as a military wife.
