Tessie was a gift from some friends who have her older sister and now lives with my ex.. We got Zack from a friend of Tessie's breeder to keep Tessie company. Brandy is Tessie's niece. Brandy is a big corgi who likes to lay on your pillows in the morning giving you a corgi hat. Zack is my buddy who we almost lost the first week we got him to puemonia. He had TPLO surgery (knee) the first week in August of 2007 and had his other knee done in November of 2007. He is my bionic fluff. Brandy is the Alpha and lets everyone know it. Bailey joined our group at the NC Corgi Picnic and has moved right in. He is quite the talker. Bailey stayed with my ex also. Gracie was the runt of the litter and was tiny for a long time. She weights in around 23 lbs and loves to sleep on our pillows at night. Jude is "special". His litter was hit with parvo and he was the only survivor. He was quarentined for 2 months so he did not grow up around other puppies. He has no dog sense and some of the things he does amazes us.
yup, i know there's at least 2 in this group. you can start a group and post "calling all fluffies" in the forum and do a roll call :) Feel free to invite more corgi owners to join us! we've been opened for 1 week only!
Hi Bill
I just checked out the Sunshie Corgi Rescue site for the Corgi PIcnic info. About the location? It it at the location that is on the "in MELBOURNE" link?? is that someones house??
Hi Bill! yes I have heard about the corgi picnic in Melbourn. In fact, Sam Tsang, my husband, would know all the detail about it. I heard last year they had 80+ corgis attended!!! Sound fun to me!
Hi Bill,
I went to the Corgi picnic 2yrs. ago in Melbourne. It was quite a sight watching 56 corgis running around together! I took lots of photos. This is the last year that Betty is having it at her house. She's looking for someone to take over for next year. I can't attend this year as I have to work. Your three fluffies are adorable!
That must be a lot of fun!!! So far the most corgi I've seen at once is the last Orlando Corgi Meetup... there was about 10 to 12 corgis. It's a lot of fun watching them already! Can't imagine 100 corgis altogether... Thinking about it makes me giggle already!
I love the pictures of your fluffs, there a really cute couple!!!
esspecially the ones with the sled.
And Phelan has a little tail, cause we have a law in Holland (since several years) that says that we cant cut the tails off. (doesnt matter what breed) We onlu have a couple shortailed ones that are born that way...
Thanks for the sweet comment! You can tell your Fluffs that a tail is a really fun thing to chase, but it's easily stepped on, too :) Griff will have been with us 1 year in December, and will be 2 years old in February! Best (pound doggy) Christmas present ever :)
Yep, on Animal Planet's Breed All About It they never mentioned Fluffies nor do they talk about them on the Eukanuba or Westminster Dog Shows. I really do like them. Just absolutely adorable!
Hi Bill,
My name is Lauren and I live in Jupiter. I just got my first Corgi puppy (Winston). I'm trying to learn everything about the breed and the best way to train so we have a happy and long life together. My boyfriend lives in Loxahatchee, so Winston and I are out there quite a bit. Are there any Corgi meet up groups around here?
Hi Bill...thank you so much. I would love to bring Winston. I didn't realize the picnic was in Palm City...I thought it was in Palm Bay. Is there one planned for this year? If so..when and where? Thank you again so much. We will have to plan a get together soon!
Hello Bill! I just saw one of your pups has had TPLO surgery...my Hamlet is currently in his second week of recovery. Do you have any tips or advice in making our way through recovery? How long was your pup out of commission? And I see he had to have his other knee done as well? I'm really hoping we can avoid the second surgery so Ham can get back to normal. I hope your Zack is making it through everything OK.
Hi Bill, depending on my filming schedule, i may stop by the NC picnic, i'll let you know :) Yes, Celeste from Celeste kennel is going to do it this year at a palm bay kennel facility, no set date yet, but the location is confirmed.
Yes I love fluffies, too! I'm thinking the Magster will look like yours when she's older, and yours are beautiful, not quite like collies but so distinctive, smart and happy...so happy!
Hello Bill, Great to meet a fellow and local corgi lover. I'm thinking we might of met at the palm bay picnic. Would love to part of your get togethers. Jenny and Pierre
morning bill thanks for the kind words yes george has a tail it is illegal to dock in australia... at the moment his tail is not waving high as it very very hot today ( what we aussies call a stinker) and fluffies espec george dont love the heat so another quiet day in front of the air con or under the house and cheers for link off to look at it now all the best
thanks for your information on the calender i must try and get one and i agree with shaving a fluffies stomach last weekend we had 43 degree temps and the best way for george to keep coll was to lay flat out on his tummy on the bathroom tiles i would never shave the top because an aussie summer woul burn his skin so easily
hi bill, thanks for the suggestion i did check out the rescue dogs but many needed single dog families, and i have two other dogs. my new puppy is just amazing, and has already become fast friends with my jack russell. she is also the only one who will actually jump in our pond and swim around just for fun. thanks again!
Hi Bill! Yes! I have already circled the 10th of October on my calendar and told Chef that I'll be taking it as a leave day! It was such a special day last year and we are all anticipating another fabulous event! We had a great morning at herding lessons today and I hope to title Bear this fall. Boy, they can really drive some sheep! Take care and we will look forward to seeing you soon! Nancy, Bear, Tasha and Linus

Hopefully he'll be gentle with the other knee, so we don't have to go through that again!
