I never had a dog until I was 30. My husband brought home an abandoned spaniel. We named him micky. He was a great dog. We had him 13 years. My heart was broken when he died. 3 years later we got our 2 corgies. They are the light of our lives. I can't wait to get home in the evening to see them.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
We have 2 pembroke corgies. A brother and sister team. They are great together and keep each other company during the day. They are 4 years old. Winky (my little girl), is so smart its scary. They are spoiled rotten.(and I would'nt have it anyother way). We put in a doggy door so they could come and go as needed. They mostly stay in the house because they like to be near us, but sometimes they bolt out the door to bark at the birds. They are truly my babies!
Puppy kisses and stump wags from Edward and Gem!!! Teresa, make sure you join the Spoiled Rotten Corgis group you will fit in well with us there!!! Also sorry to hear about your Beloved Mickey!!
Thank you so much. Corgis are magical and very addicting for me. I won't be living life w/o one or a few in my life. I'm glad you feel the same way. Your a brave soul to adopt 2 siblings at once. Only certain people can deal with it and handle it. I normally try to persuade people in getting one pup and waiting a year before getting another so they aren't overwhelmed and the older one is well on its way for being obedient and house broken so the new pup will learn off the older one instead of trying to manage 2 at the same time. I've done 2 at once but I'm crazy anyways. hehe
Hi Teresa! Thank you for you sweet comments! Our dogs have always been our kids! We spoil ours too! It would be fun to swap stories with you :) We are neighbors. I live in Grand Prairie Texas. My Mom and Brother live really close to you in Bedford. Your pups are very cute!
Corgis are suppose to be spoiled rotten! Or that is what Ashton keeps telling me! lol Hope all is well and be sure to give the corgis plenty of belly rubs from us! Take care! <3
There is not a day goes by that a couple of our corgis do something to make us laugh or remind us why have this wonderful creatures in our home. So I try to keep my phone with me all the time to be able to catch those cute moments in our daily lives. EXCEPT for yesterday when the pups took my phone off the night stand and buried it in the backyard
Teresa I loved looking at your beautiful pair Winky and Blinky! Remind me of my pair Luna and Cosmo. The big handsome boys and cunning crafty girls! Now little Razzo to the corgi family. Lots of fun and laughs with them! I am lucky that I work weekends and one other weekday so I am off four days during the week. I can empathize with you wanting to be with your corgi's more! We have to work to keep them in food, vet, toys! They make it all worthwhile when you get home!
Thank you! I know, I'll love him either way, I just really love it when he leans back to look up at me. When he does that, his ears pop up into the normal corgi position, haha.
Thanks Teresa! Yes, I have many more photos...I must get them posted! Isn't it so much fun to see everyone's babies? I'm convinced that this group must have the most loved pups on the planet! Lucky, lucky corgis and even luckier owners!
Yeah, I am seriously thinking about it. My son thinks I have Dog OCD because I am constantly looking on Craigslist, Petfinder etc. for dogs. I just love dogs.
My ideal life would include lots of dogs, too bad it is easier said than done.
I think for now, I am sticking with to my 2 boys, but I will never say never...
Hi Teresa! Thanks! I would like to be in Texas about now as all roads are closed up here and wind chills are about -30 BUT my family is home and we're baking Xmas cookies so we're having a fun time!
Hi Teresa! Thanks for the comment on my blog! Merry Christmas to you and yours, too. I'm so relieved that Isabella didn't eat the glass...sigh of relief! I ran in to an old friend yesterday and told her about it. She told me that her dog at a chopstick! Can you believe that? A chopstick!
Thanks so much for all your kind words about Jon Farleigh and Dewi. They bring me lots of joy. :) Your two babies are *gorgeous* Pemmies; the reds are my favorite. :)
Glad you enjoyed our digging video! Our corgi just loves to dig in sand. Right now it's snow! That's fun to dig in too! I can't wait to see how much stuff will come to the surface in the spring thaw. I gave him a bone this morning & it's already disappeared in his teeny yard...
You should really try your corgis on a herding instinct test. All they have to do is see sheep start moving, and hopefully the herding instinct kicks in.
I am going to hate it when Marley goes home. One day I will have another one. Till then I guess that the cat will still keep him entertained. I can't wait to get this on video. They always stop when I pick up the camera.
Thanks I love to watch him do it. He just seems so happy. Lol. According to my trainer she said dogs of all ages could do. I would suggest you find a club in your area and call. That is what I did. I bet they would love it and you as well it is to s of fun!
