We are in love with Welsh Corgis. We presently own 2. Edward is our baby and Gemima(Gem) is our watchful big sister. They are truly intelligent and loyal, they accompany us to the lake cabin and camping here in MN. They love boating and are all around our special companions. We can't imagine life without them.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Edward is a character. He is always coming up with goofy new quirks like chasing after bats at our lake or digging for moles in our yard(not so funny) Gem is our watchful big sister. She knows what to do when Edward misbehaves and is a good helper. She loves the lake and doing jobs around the house like helping to garden and watch Edward.
Dear Gem,
Please tell Edward that Tenby says thank you for the birthday wish. I guess if I have to have a brother the guy is OK. We do have a lot of fun times.....but he still drives me crazy at times.
We are going to NYC this week. It will be fun to see the grandboy. The older he gets the more fun he is to play with. Plus he drops a lot of food on the floor. My mom and dad rarely drop food.
We don't have many loud thunder storms here, but they can be frightening. Last month we had one and I was sound asleep and there was a big crack, I must admit I did jump.
This morning Tenby and I got furminated and then a bath. I will write when I get back and tell you all the fun things that happened.
Love Chepstow
Dear Gem,
We are home and I had a great time. But it is really hard work keeping up with a 2 1/2 year old. We played and ran.......I went to sleep exhausted every night. I think my mom and dad were tired also. The best part is that little boy really love me and he gives hugs and kisses. I am really enjoying my nice quiet "retired people" house.
Love, Chepstow
hey! my joey looks just like your edward! Jax Beach is nice & stays pretty busy. Lots of restaurants by the beaches..The Landing (Downtown) also stays busy. During the day they have restaurants, shopping, & events..nightlife there is more music & bars. But you could look at the Jax Landing website and see if there are any fun & kid-friendly things going on there during your visit. I hope you enjoy it!
Hi Gem and Ed
Our family has been busy, Dad has been playing golf and mom has been working on the
#%!&? (whatever that means) Seven Lakes Garden Tour that she is in charge of this year and getting her photos ready for an art show this weekend. I don't like her art shows I would love to meet all the people but I have to stay home with Dad and Tenby. We get out on the lake a few days a week but the water is still cold. I don't mind swimming in cold water but Tenby doesn't stay in long. Mom and Dad take a "sunset/happy hour cruise" with different friends on Wednesday evening. We get to go along if only one couple goes, but if two couples come we have to stay home. We have two blue bird nest in our yard, Mom and Dad get excited about eggs and babies but I just don't get it. So that is what is happening here in North Carolina. Wish you were closer and we could get together and play.
Love, Chepstow
Dear Gem,
Isn't summer fun (except for the really hot days). Tenby and I love the water so much, just like you and Edward. I like sitting on the pontoon couch also. Tenby is so funny he hangs off the back of the couch so far. (I will send you a picture) Everyone is afraid he will fall into the lake. Dad says he is a corgi fish finder.
It sounds so much fun to have girls to run and play with. Yep, wish we had some here. I read on your page your family is going to JAX this summer. I was born there. My mom and dad lived about 4 hours south of there and drove all that way just to get me!!!!! We moved to North Carolina when I was about 5 months old. We like to help in the garden also, the other day I guess we got bored and dig a hole where a hole shouldn't be. We thought it looked good there. Bet you are having a BBQ with good food this weekend. Have a good time. Love, Chepstow
Hi Ed and Gem,
It's been a while since I checked out your page but always like to see all your fun photos to see what you two have been up to. I've had a good Memorial Day and am very tired now.
Gretzky
Hi Ed and Gem!
We are going to be camping this week-end at Chesterwoods County Park. Is this anywhere close to your home?? We would love to meet you sometime!

Hi Gem,
First of all Tenby wants me to have you tell Edward "way to go bro" regarding the dead fish roll. Yep, that is something my brother would do, probably twice.
You will have a good time while your family is in Florida. Our mom and dad left for a whole month last year. We missed them but our pet sitters are really nice people and they love us. Tenby and I think they come just to see us but they like playing golf. We have 43 golf courses in our county, can you imagine all those trees to smell. Not much else is happening except swimming and playing. Love, Chepstow
You should look for The Accidental Tourist. It's on TV a lot––or rent if, if for no other reason that to see Edward, the tri-colored Corgi. He's hilarious and the movie's great. William Hurt, Geena Davis, Kathleen Turner AND EDWARD.
No the pups did not get in on the Minnesota travels....I had a car full of luggage and grandchildren and it is such a brutal trip.....So they stayed here with babysitters and let me know how much they missed me when I got home....so nice to feel appreciated. Weather temps today 103....Supposed to get a little cooler in the next few days and maybe rain...oh what a blessed event that will be....Sam and Merry really do not like going out much in this weather....so they are spending a lot of time just hanging out around the house....once and awhile they come and suggest that we might venture out....just to check on the heat, I think....it takes no time until they are lying down in the now brown grass and letting me know that enough is enough. Poor Babies.
Dear Gem,
Hope you are having a good summer. Tenby and I swim a lot and sleep 'cause it has been really hot and humid. We get Frosty Paws on really hot days. Wish I could share a Frosty Paw with you.
My mom and dad are going to Michigan (whatever that is) next week for 10 days. Our favorite sitters are coming and stay with us. We will have fun with our sitters.
Have a nice weekend. Love, Chepstow
Hey guys! Hope everything is well on your end!! I know summer has been HOT and the boys have been sweating a lot!! But they are still chasing all those squirrels!! We sure are ready for fall!!! GO VIKES!!! :)
Hi Gem,
I bet you will be lonely when your girls go back to school. Atleast you have your little brother Edward to play with. We don't have girls to play with just mom and dad. But sometimes they go on trips and we miss them. We always have nice and fun house sitters but we still miss our parents.
It is still very hot here and the lake is really nice and warm for swimming, even my mom just jumps in. Tenby and I got our nails done today. Dad says I have the fastest growing nails in the world. I get them trimed every two weeks Tenby only gets his done once a month.
The North Carolina corgi picnic is coming soon. We have so much fun, you would love it
There are corgi's everywhere we run and play I just love it.
Well gotta go take a napwith my dad,
Love Chepstow
Hi!! Do you know that I JUST saw your birthday greetings???!! A very belated thank you! How sweet.
We are going to be camping at Lake Byllesby on Sept. 10th and 11th.near Cannon Falls Is this anywhere near Lake Zumbro? I should really look at a map.
I am bad at a staying in touch on My Corgi.com
Hope you are all doing fabulously!
I never looked to see if I had messages and I just found a couple that have gone unanswered so I'm getting back to you from a note you left me from um...May!! We live in Victoria and that about a three hour drive. When I drive to Chicago I go into Rochester becuase it's a more scenic drive! I only took Tallulah with me once to Chicago and NEVER again. She kept my daughter's apartment building up all night with her low/loud barking. Every person she heard on the street below, cars moving, horns blowing, etc she had to let them know she was there!! If you ever want to visit let me know your more than welcome to stay here! Eileen and Tallulah ^-^
I found Hurley in Kirtland. He was kept outside in a Kennel all day with 13 other dogs. So i kind of rescued him. How far away are you. I dont think Ive ever heard of it before. Ive lived in Farmington my whold life. Thats awesome. How old are your little girls? Ya I love staying at home. I sell Mary Kay to bring in extra income, hvae fun, be around adults and get outta the house. I love it. I dont know anyone on here so its nice to hear from you!
Oh gotcha! my oldest will be 3 in December and my baby is 1 1/2. They are only 17 months apart. But they get along so well. when they start school, Im planning on going back to college.
Hey Thanks for the welcome! I think I'm mixing you up with a woman I met at the Forestville campground. If I am, I'm sorry. I love your pics! Your puppies are adorable!!
Laurie and Roger say.. hope all is well and the rain stops and water goes down. We have been thinking of you as the news has reported the flooding.
Chepstow and Tenby say......Gem and Edward keep your heads above water, you are our special friends.
Hi guys. Buster came from a breeder in Moravia, Iowa which is down in SE Iowa about an hour from our home in Pella. We just went to look. They only had 2 corgis left, Buster was the one who was active and exploring so we picked him. I was looking through the pictures you posted and noticed your corgis playing in the snow, we are expecting 6" of snow tonight and tomorrow so this will be our first play day with that much snow.
I keep asking my mom to write but things have been so busy with holidays and many other things. I hear you have a lot of snow. It is snowing here today, Tenby and I ran around and had fun in it. Dad said he forgot to put the full cover on the boat and now it is full of snow. I hope you and your family had a good Christmas! Tenby and I got some good treats and Dad gave us a few samples when he was carving the turkey. Last week we went to Nashville with mom and dad. The drive was long (10 hours) but we had fun. Dad said the drive would have been quickier if I didn't whine and have to stop so much. We stayed in the hotel room and mom and dad went to see the Garth Brooks. He is my moms favorite. I think we are going to go play in the snow some more. Stay warm, your friend, Chepstow
My mom searched and search for the perfect valentine picture to send to you. Then we got busy and my mom forgot. I can't get to upset because Valentines Day was also my moms 60th birthday. Thank you so much for remembering me. I do think you are the sweetest corgi on this whole site and you are my valentine.
How is everything in Rochester? We have not been too active on My Corgi for a while and are just wondering how our Corgi friends are doing. Hope you are doing goos and will have a fun Holiday week-end.
Thanks. This looks like a fun site for an old corgi lover like myself. I love your snow pictures. We occasionally get snow here in Georgia and it seems to bring out the silliness in corgis.
Chepstow just doesn't understand that Gem's lake and his lake are in different places. He thinks if we are all going to the lake then Gem should be there to play with.
Hope you are having a lot of fun at the lake this summer. Tenby has been sick so I get to go to the lake by myself. It is fun not having the little goofball around.....but don't tell anyone, I kinda miss playing with him. My mom is on a long trip and we miss her, but Dad is taking good care of us. Love, Chepstow
