Event Description

Mardi Gras on Mainstreet takes place in beautiful Downtown DeLand. We have been celebrating for 10 years and have seen incredible growth each year. On February 2, 2008 over 20,000 dogs and their 2 legged companions packed the streets for a great day! The Krewe of Barkalee has put on the "Dog parade" for 10 years. The parade itself runs down Woodland Boulevard in Downtown DeLand. Although the highlight, the parade itself is not the only entertainment. There are many vendors from all over, kids areas, Mardi Gras food, bands to name a few! The best part, you can come and enjoy all of the festivities for FREE!
