Event Description

As part of the parade there is a Corgi Corps. If you would like information on how to participate just email me at romatree@yahoo.com and I can pass your name onto the organizers.

Come and get into the spirit of the holidays in beautiful horse country as the Town of Middleburg celebrates Christmas. This event will start in the morning with the Middleburg Hunt trotting through Washington Street on their horses and with their hounds. Later in the afternoon, watch the parade and meet Santa Claus. Enjoy arts and crafts at the community center, music, shopping, and dining in this wonderfully unique town.

Comment by shelby geisler on December 4, 2009 at 7:40pm: I called Middleburg this morning.. The lady told me the parade is a "go", it's Christmas. We are loaded expect to be heading out by 6:30am unless something changes here overnight.

Comment by Monty'sMom on December 4, 2009 at 7:24pm: Well the forecast now predicts snow earlier in Middleburg and more of it so I have decided not to go this year. I am ready for next year though. Let me know if you find out if they reschedule

Comment by shelby geisler on December 4, 2009 at 9:42am: We've gone down the last several years. Last year was the exception. We hit solid ice on the way home 25-30mph the whole way, shall we say unnerving. Cory rode with me on the console the whole way. The other two camped out in the back.

I've been trying to find out if they may reschedule it.

Comment by Monty'sMom on December 4, 2009 at 9:30am: Hi Shelby, they say the snow won't stick to the roads so that should be ok, I am more worried about the rain in the morning...I am not sure 4 hours outside at 30 degrees is ideal for my health. I will be deciding in the morning. Take pictures in case I don't make it.
