Pet Insurance

I live in Illinois. I am wondering if anyone has pet insurance and thinks that it is worth it. I know that insurance does not cover any pre-existing conditions but wondered what experiences people have had with pet insurance. Is it worth getting or not. What kind of insurance would you reccomend?

I've heard that PetPlan is good because it covers hereditary and genetic diseases, which a lot of insurance companies won't.
